Sakura Rosina Chieftain Twilight Val helped her up and answered solemnly. "I'm afraid that we can only make things worse; she is very defensive. but, in her self-loathing she has found significant restrictions on her feeding and gained what seems to be a form of self-control superior to ours. I commend her for that, though I pity her. still, vegan vampires being what they are, Barton should be safe."he knew he was avoiding the real question, and so was Sakura. "what about the Kuro Gang, though? do they suspect your treachery? Cordell was not happy."Sakura mentally flinched at Val's question, knowing the answer could cost her dearly. Closing her eyes for a moment, she steadied herself, this was going to be hard to explain indeed. Opening her eyes, she kept her gaze steady although she was sure the emotions were plainly written on her face. "The answer is a bit complicated to explain but I'll do my best." Taking another calming breath, Sakura tried to explain her predicament. "When I first joined the Kuro Gang, Cordell could tell I was not there for the reasons I stated, but for some reason she never said anything to Luca. However, my second day at work, she asked me to speak privately with her. She point blank asked me why I was there, and even though I didn't know why, I trusted her and told her of my family's past including my dark elf and vampire heritage. She remembered my parents, in fact, she had been friends with both of them and so she promised not to tell Luca unless he asked her." Sakura sighed softly and continued, "Nyx somehow managed to get that information from Cordell, although judging by what I saw, it wasn't willing on her part. He told me that he had indeed told Luca everything. So yes, they know I'm a traitor to the clan…" At this, Sakura couldn't help but shiver very slightly, her eyes were downcast as she wondered what would happen now. with a stoic, calculating gaze Twi responded, "then it seems you must go into hiding. you are welcome to stay here at my Mansion, the Kuros havn't found it yet and it's been years."he looked around, noticing that the room she was in was empty of anything but what was there before she arrived. "I suggest that if you begin moving in, you do so slowly. don't want to raise any flags."

Her voice was soft as she spoke, "While I am most grateful for your offer, Valthier, are you certain you want to take such a risk in allowing me to stay here? It is possible they could trace me if they truly wanted to and I truly do not want anyone else being hurt if it can be prevented."Sakura kept her gaze slightly down as she waited for Valthier's reply, wondering just what she had gotten herself into and how she could dig herself out.

Sakura's eyes widened in amazement and wonder. How little she knew of her new ally. "I often wondered what became of so many of my comrades, I am glad they had a safe place to stay."She blinked a couple times as the hat was placed on her head. It was comfortable and if it changed forms, it would go with any of her outfits… once she bought some, anyways. All her possessions (a picture of Faris and one of her cousin, along with some odds and ends) were hidden safely in a locker at the local gym. Bowing slightly, Sakura couldn't help but allow a smile to flicker across her face as she spoke softly. "How can I repay you for this kindness you have shown me, Valthier?"

"we should probably head towards Barton. I have a neat trick to show you, by the way." he smirked mischievously as he turned back to her. then he led the way towards the first floor and the front door. Sakura merely nodded with a very small smile, "I can promise that your secret is safe with me." She looked at Valthier as he paused, a flicker of curiosity ran through her mind but she pushed it back as he spoke again about heading to Barton. Nodding, she pulled her trenchcoat on and chuckled softly, wondering what to expect next as she followed closely behind. "A neat trick, eh?" she grinned, pulling the hat a bit tighter on her head. (oh my gosh it's been so long... I'm so sorry T.T)

Chieftain Twilight when he got to the door, he turned a dial from a red coloured section to a yellow one. opening the door, he stepped aside to let Sakura go through first. but it wasn't Durem they were at now. outside the door, the were in what appeared to be a small cottage near the East Gate of Barton. the Colloseum was to the right and ahead, and the Fountain could be seen forward in the distance. far to the left, towering in the background of a small neighborhood, stood tall the Archive building of Gaia 9 Action News HQ. "what do you think? I have portals connecting thid door alone to every majour town in Gaia, plus a couple extra locations."Sakura paused as they reached the door, her mind full of questions, mainly what to expect next. She watched with a slightly raised eyebrow as Valthier turned a dial and opened the door. As she stepped through the doorway, her eyes widened in surprise. 'Toto, I don't think we're in Durem any more' she nearly chuckled out loud at that thought. As Valthier explained, her eyes widened even further. " Portals?", she murmured softly. Wow, talk about a good escape plan. But how did you manage to do so, Valthier? Wouldn't that take a lot of time, focus, and energy? Her neon pink eyes were sparkling with curiosity and wonder, her expression like a child's on Christmas morning.

"I'm not really supposed to be out in the daylight. Dark Elf and Vampire together is a pretty cruel mixture... but I had to show you. you see, my greatest skill sets are Shadow Magic and Portals."Sakura nodded, still amazed. "I have only heard of such feats in stories and lore." Pulling on a pair of sunglasses, she chuckled lightly. "I too know the lovely side effects of having such mixed blood, if you will. Still, I am glad you showed me. You have great skill, Valthier and it shows." A light smirk played on her lips as she recalled her first encounter with Valthier's Shadow Magic, but it vanished with her next question. "Would you prefer I called you by another name? It might be safer in the long run."As she followed in step a thought kept repeating itself, 'Just how powerful is he?'

It would be a move she regretted deeply. "So Va… erm, Twi, do you have any places in particular you like to frequent in Barton? I have only been here once with a friend and all we did was grab iced drinks from Rina and then scooted back to Durem. I know to go out is a risk, but I would do almost anything for one of Rina's iced mochas right abut now."

Isn't he the one who is ready with a pun?"She smiled as they approached the cafe, her mouth nearly watering as she thought about the iced mocha waiting for her. "So, what sort of treats do you enjoy, Twi?" she asked softly as she reached for the door handle. Her mind was nearly screaming for her to be on the lookout, but she pushed it back once more.

I have a taste for tropical foods as well."Rina, of course, waved to them in a hyper attitude, squeeing as she bounced to greet them. she was quick to offer them tasty flowers and sweet-smelling baked goods....
