Hartley
Hartley left the music room with his head swirling with ideas. Maybe this year wouldn't be so bad after all. Maybe the faculty here would understand him. Maybe he could even be himsel-
"Excuse me, you're not supposed to be here."
Hartley looked up in the empty school hallway to find that, suddenly, a tall blonde man in a lab coat and bow tie was glaring at him.
"This part of the campus is off-limits to the student body until classes officially start. The rules were clearly posted up in the dormitories this morning."
"I...I..."
Hartley stammered. He hadn't even heard this teacher walking down the hall!
"What's your name? I'm afraid I'll have to write you up."
All of the light thoughts in Hartley's head vanished. No, this was going to be just like every other school he had attended.
"Thomas Peterson."
"Well, Thomas, I'm Mr. Allen, from the Chemistry department. You can consider this your first warning. It's very important that you understand the rules here at Hero High. They're for your own safety."
Hartley's fists clenched. Everyone always seemed to know what was for his own good.
"Come with me, Thomas, and I'll escort you back to the dorms."
"Yes sir....Mister Allen."
Hartley already intensely disliked this teacher.

"Oh man! A pool! AWESOME! And a basketball court! AWESOME! AND A POMMEL HORSE! THIS PLACE IS SO NEAT."
Blue Valley, Wally's hometown had a very small junior high. To Wally, this new school was like the Buckingham Palace of schools. Dashing around at incredible speeds, leaving a trail of dust behind him, he skidded to a halt in front of the most incredible spectacle he'd seen in perhaps his entire young life...
"GIANT TWO TRUNKED THREE-EYED ELEPHANT. JUMPIN' JETS!!! THIS IS LIKE THE BEST DAY EVER!!!!!"

Cassie pauses and thinks for a while..
"He is recorded in the old stories.. Well, I gotta go I have to go spread the word about the pizza party.. it'll be happening later on in the cafeteria."
With that Cassie walked away and ended up wandering around halls of the campus.

*After showing Ariel her room and dropped off her bag and they headed to the coffee shop*
Well here it is. *Big hand wave to the coffee shop as they enter and take a seat at a booth.* Does Towel-girl deliver or what?! And don't think your off to hook with a nick name either... just as soon as i get to know you better. It's on!
*Hands her the menu* Oh and don't worry about the price, the school pay for anything coffee based to keep us awake in class.

Oh wow, is he yours? What do you feed him? Can I pet him? How'd you get away with having an elephant on campus? How'd he get two trunks? I saw a cow with two heads once at the Blue Valley County Fair and it was sorta gross, but it was nowhere NEAR as cool as your elephant!

**staggered back a step as the redheaded kid zipped right up in front of him quickly as Mercury himself and started rambling off a slew of questions**
"Yes..."
"Well I..."
"She..."
"Perhaps..."
"They said..."
**unable to get a word in edgewise, Achilles set a hand over the kid's mouth and raised his eyebrows at him before he broke into a smile**
You are an excitable youth! To answer your question, Mysia is a female, and yes, she is mine. The leaders of the school allowed her on campus as a mascot so she might remain near to me. And as for petting her, if you wish.
**leaned in closer and smiled**
But would you not prefer to ride her instead?

**He had not seen such an excitable young man since, well truth be told -- ever. He already liked the boy. Perhaps not all people of this time were crude and crass.**
I am very serious. I ride Mysia all the time. She permits it. But if you would like to, you must befriend her first. Only then might she allow you to perch on her back.

*this is the stillest Wally's stood....well, in months, since he got struck by lightning. Almost scared to breathe, lest his tiny breath somehow scare the giant elephant off, Wally reaches out a hand and pets her on the trunk*

**Mysia looked down at the small youth and blinked all three eyes. She paused and then lifted the trunk he had gingerly petted and wrapped it around his waist and scooped him up**
**Achilles laughed**
I do believe you just received her blessing!
**Wally is plopped down onto her back and Achilles mounted her wide back behind him.**
Now hold on tightly, and let her guide herself.
**he rubbed her thick hide and said softly down toward her ear**
Just once around campus Mysia, and be gentle with him.
**Mysia lifted her trunks and TRUMPETED before she walked out of the stable and began to walk....up into the air!**

I am unsure of what 'awesome' means but my mother was good to me. Gifted me well. I believe Mysia was a gift from my father to aid me in battle and so that I might have a friend who would expect little.
**tapped Wally on the shoulder and pointed 'down' where a flock of birds flew well beneath them and even further below, people on the campus were pointing up**
I believe if you are to arrive in new surroundings, it best to do it in style!
