Appearance: 
Personality: Akane is shy to the point of stuttering; she can barely meet any one's eyes without blushing and looking away. However, she’s also very sweet and she tries to make friends despite her shyness. She’s dedicated in her work (healing), almost to the point of obsession. Despite this, many people wonder why she was ever chosen to be a Fantasma... until they meet Chi.
Chi is Akane’s split personality, she doesn’t know how she came into existence and doesn’t particularly care. Chi is destructive, vicious, bloodthirsty and essentially everything that Akane is not. Her sadism is great, and she has little sympathy for anyone that gets in her way. Chi only comes out when Akane bleeds but otherwise has some control over her limbs at times.
History: Akane remembers almost nothing of her human life. The last thing she recalls is the car accident that took her life, and then that a kind shinigami that sent her quickly on her way to Soul Society. She was relatively happy there with her “family”, but the problems started soon after her arrival. Blackouts, people seeing her when she didn’t remember going anywhere, and then the worst of them all: waking up and finding blood on her hands. Against her families wishes, she joined the academy and trained to become a shinigami. She studied hard for years and years and kept her secret hidden when she graduated. It was when she joined Squad 12 that she was found out. They could barely restrain Chi, and when Akane woke up they understood her split personality and took action to protect both herself and others. She was placed in Squad 4 so that she would rarely see battle and be kept in a peaceful environment. There she learned to create herbal remedies and healing and her obsession with it began because she wanted to heal and not to hurt. The only shinigami with knowledge of her condition were the 1st, 4th, and 12th Squad Captains as well as a handful of shinigami in Squad 4.
For a time Akane was happy, but that happiness didn’t last forever. One day a hollow attacked the Seireitei and, backed into a corner, she was forced to fight. The hollow managed to kill her and returned to Hueco Mundo only to have Chi break him from the inside out. With a sleeping Akane within her, she went on to devour as many hollow necessary to become a Vasto Lorde. Eventually Hollow Ichigo found her and offered her more power to which Chi eagerly agreed. The only problem? When he changed her into a Hellfire Akane woke up and returned as the dominant personality. Left with no direction and knowing that the Seireitei would reject her, she joined Hollow Ichigo’s army as the Dos Fantasma.
Weapon: Akane's weapon is the shikai version of her old zanpakuto though it has none of its former abilities.
KatanaWeapon Abilities:-The ability to gather reishi particles in the air and release that power in the form of a small explosion when it comes into contact with something.
-The ability to gather reishi in the air to form a crescent of energy when she slashes at the air.
-Absorption of kido techniques. This doesn't apply to Bakudo aimed at her and only works on Hado that are like projectiles. Also, the energy must be shot back almost immediately in order to avoid causing damage to herself.

scythe.
Other Information: Akane still possesses the power to heal through kido and remembers all the herbal remedies she learned as a shinigami, as such she is the healer of the army.
Though Akane is very small and demure she is actually rather skilled in Hakuda, enough to reach the level of expert.
