It's kind of nice sharing it with someone..." he murmurred, stroking November's flank. "Do you want to hear more of the song?" Nate asked hesitantly. Not really sure, if she wanted him to sing more or just leave it where it was. He had more to sing, but he wouldn't sing more of the song if Madelyn didn't want him to. He smiled at her comment about November, of course she was enjoying it. This was November's favorite spot. Her number one on her list of spots to enjoy. He looked around the clearing, he honestly loved it here and would be heartbroken if they decided to tear down the forest, because, technically, this wasn't his families land. Nate would definately join a protest to keep the forest, so many other creatures had their homes here too. Nate smiled at a little squirrel that was nibbling on a nut. "See that squirrel over there? That's a Red Squirrel" he smiled, pointing at the young squirrel.
Nathaniel glanced at Madelyn when she asked about the puppies. He shrugged. "Don't know yet, either keep them or find good homes for them probably" he told her. "I wouldn't have the heart to put them down, they're to young, and have, or wil have, once they're born, so much life in them. I will definaterly not put them down" Nate said. "Other that you and me right now? No one. I plan on telling my mom once we get home. And Derek hasn't responded to the text I sent him, like" he looked at his watch "Who knows how long ago. I'll ask if he got it tomorrow at school" NATHANIEL's

She lifted her head up and looked at the squirrel. She laughed and smiled at Nate. "Only you would know that," she teased. "You ask people that live around here or mention it to people at school. You'll be able to find people who would be willing to take a dog into their home." Then she frowned. "That's not like Derek not to answer for something like that," she said disapprovingly. "He's probably busy working on the project or something," she said and shrugged like it was no big deal. But she hated that Derek was working on the project with Alexis, and Romeo and Juliet! How ridiculous is that? {You showed me something that I couldn't see

I hope he's not having too much trouble. I mean, It is Derek. But he always answers his texts. But as for the puppies. Yeah, and if no one around here. I can see if we can call someone back home to see if they want one." Nate paused. "Oh yeah, I don't know if Derek told you or if anyone did. Cause' I don't remember saying anything. But... I was born in Texas.... So we have family back there. Probably some who'd be willing to take a puppy." he smiled, thinking of just last summer, when he went to Texas to visit family.
Nathaniel grinned and set his guitar into position again. "Alrighty. Here goes.

And you made it so real} Madelyn nodded in agreement about Derek. "You grew up in Texas? Really? I don't remember you or Derek telling me that ..." she trailed off, but started right back up again. "What part of Texas are you from? How old were you when you moved? Because you had to be enrolled in first grade here, because that's when you met Derek," she said. "And if you can't find anyone to take the puppies, I'll be willing to take one," she offered, then found a problem. "That is, if I can ever get my mom on board with the idea." Her mom wasn't a big dog person. She liked cats more. She thought that they were, "less pestering and didn't involve taking care of them 24/7". That's what she told Madelyn when she asked for a dog for her eighth birthday. It was around the time she had met Nate and Derek, and the brunette had completely fallen in love with November. Madelyn leaned back and rested her palms on the rock while Nate serenaded her. She smiled at him. She laughed at Nate's comment to November. "Ooohhh, Nate I'm jealous. You never wrote me a song," she teased him and laughed. {You showed me something that I couldn't see

Then that means I forgot to mention it." he chuckled. "Uhm.. Dallas. I was like... uh...... er...." Nate thought hard about that. "Uh... I think I was... like... three or four years young" he finally decided. Nathaniel nodded. "I can help soften your mom if you want. I've had November for a long, long time. She was just a puppy when you met her. But she hasn't been a problem. She stays out of trouble when I'm not home. And when I ask her to give me some space or to be quiet. She is. By the time her puppies are ready to be adopted, I'm sure November will have taught them their manners" Nathaniel smiled.
Nate laughed and poked her. "What. You want me to write you a song now?

She'll believe you. She thinks your a good influence for me," she joked and laughed. "That's good. November's probably the most well-behaved dog in the history of well-behaved dogs." the brunette teased the dog playfully and scratched her behind her ears.
Madelyn laughed at Nate's song. "Was the 'gullible' part really necessary?" she joked and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. The brunette smiled at Nate and laughed. The sunlight fell gently on the clearing, signalling that it was setting. The sun's rays warmed her skin and she leaned back contently. {You showed me something that I couldn't see

He grinned. "You're welcome. Glad to help. Wait, why am I a good influence on you?" Nathaniel asked curiously. Nate grinned. "Of course she is!" he chirped.
