The scorned woman slipped back onto her families ship, walking lightly on the planks. They made noise despite her efforts. She got to the gallery and heard the all too familiar laughter. She pushed open the large set of doors and stomped once info the room, making a thus that reverberated through the area. "By ze power vested in my by mon capitan Nikos Vasil and as head security officer of ze two for flinching, I hereby declare that you are unfit for duty and are too be removed from my ship. " She said drawing her Rapier. She immediately smashed a pot of water into a pan on a roaring fire, shrouds the entire area in steam before lancing forward. Her strikes would be swift and more importantly targeting legs, hips, arms, and joints with the forest 4 inches of blade, all aimed with thrusts. Anyone going for their weapons would be Priority targets.

With the area shrouded in white darkness, many of the rioters recoiled out into the air, drunken though they be. The few remaining sores, those plighted individuals, lumbered about, too inebriated to understand their position. These folks were the ones with steins still in hand when the scorned woman, mademoiselle Vasil, began the assault. One, two, three-four-five, strikes flashed out, bloodying several grunts. Unable to feel much at all, they still fell to the ground in heaps, glasses clattering to the floor, heads bouncing upon the horizontal surface. Reduced even more, a handful of sloppy, weaving, bobbing grunts weaponized their broken chairs, tables, and mugs, waving them about to clear away the darkness.
Formless :: C-rank flails, 1 per each of the remaining 5 stubborn drunks. 20 drunks attempting to escape. 3 down, bloodied on the floor.
Sung has spent a good deal of time making sure that he had gone unnoticed. It was a slow process. He kept to his typical duties, waltzed about like a kid lost and bored with little to do. Over the course of a few hours any eyes that were on him surely had gotten bored and turn their attention else where. That was when he'd get to work.
A note book was drawn out from the cloak with a dull pencil quick to follow. As he had been wandering through the canals the one thing he had been doing was sight seeing. The interactions between uhv and citizens, what shinobi were on the registry, as much info as he could gather. Even more so was that he was in the canals, a system that went through out all of the city in good detail. This let him move around fairly well, though he stuck to the shallows so he didn't have to swim.
What he focused on was getting information that would prove useful at a later date. There was no fear for him of course, he was well beyond that, but his reasoning for gathering information was important. The uhv to him was a real drag. A bummer. Just a bunch of people who were in the way of a proper military. Due to that he had set it in his mind that he'd change his life today.
The first stop he'd do would be gathering information on the shinobi registry. It was sparse to say the least, so it didn't take long to memorize the details and move on. All that was remembered was jotted into the book with little scribbles beside them, as if the notes were being taken so he could remember his class mates. Thievery D Rank Done
After this would come the next things he could bring. A city layout, interactions within uhv, and where they were within the mad jungle. The last two options were the easiest by far, he could write it down once he was outside of this place.
The hardest one was the layout. This took a lot longer then he liked, slowly making his way through the twisting canals, bumming along on boats, whatever he could to get along faster. Whenever he knew he wasn't being watched he scribble down how far he had gone and the route. Of course it ended up looking like a maze but that really was like how there town was.
He didn't have time to get it all PERFECT though. Sung simply did all of this throughout the day until it was getting closer to dusk. Once it got to that point he headed out to the outer docks.
The docks were connected to water ways that lead outside of the village, which was exactly where he wanted to go. Putting his note book into a bamboo stalk that he had hollowed out he capped both ends to keep it dry and submerged himself in the water. He had no real possessions to begin with, so he didn't mind if he got a little damp. There was work to be done after all. Thievery D Rank Done

Running and jumping along the sides of the canal, she fallowed the sweet and yet sour smell that she had been tracking since leaving the Kages office. The musky smell that was produced by the canal mixed with her target traveling through the water didn't help with her tracking. It took a little bit of time, as she was not used to tracking people and traveling down the wrong way caused the smell of sake to get weaker before she had to double back to were the smell of sake was stronger, that she knew that she was going the right way. With the help of the smell of Sake that trailed every Oni, she soon found where her target had went, on the outskirts of the village. Sadly it appeared that her target had left before she could see him, as his scent had faded when he had entered the deep waters to exit the village.
Peeved that her target had gotten away before getting the chance to see him, she kicked a pebble into the canal. Though she had missed her target, it had given her a chance to see the canals and how they worked. Decided that their might be better things to do, she disappeared to continue looking around the village.

Through some, what he called "violent suggesting", Belamos learned that some of those same thieves from earlier had stashed some medical supplies on a boat docked in the Canals. Normally, he would just torch the area and move on, but now he had to play this tactically. Belamos sneaked onto the small schooner and systematically began removing he thieves. Stabbings, strangulation or close quarters katon techniques; he used them all. It took him a few minutes to take everyone out. He searched the ship and quickly found the supplies in a crate. He hefted the box onto his shoulder and started making his way back to the hospital. Illness 3- In Progress

Katherine was no stranger to the canals. No, during her tenure as a student in the academy, studying entomology along side the way of the kuinoichi and her martial arts, she would often ride the boats up and down to clear her mind. She road them, often, to avoid the harsh life imposed on them by the UHV, to avoid Belamos and Vivian, to unwind herself where no one could bother her. It was ironic, for her, that she was on the waters with a heading that was anything but peaceful, even if it was on a mission to maintain peace. A riot had been on the rise, and that was a problem for the governing force. Riots almost never brought anything good for either side, even if one side was less wrong than they other. Katherine sighed as her clone moved them down the canal, paddles quietly moving them along. The mission called for at least one ally... and Katherine herself had an entire hive of them within. A second clone coalesced from her cloak as she disembarked. They moved as a unit, faces an impasse of unreadable intensity. A theory had played through her mind that intimidation alone could quell the masses who had officially begun moving through the streets. All the sight of four kuinoichi with UHV patches on their shirts did was force their ire even higher. Katherine, the original, narrowed her eyes as she took note of the very same graffiti artists. Obviously they weren't just trouble making children. They had gotten themselves rolled up in something far more nefarious. Still, this didn't impede Katherine, who was the first line of defense. The full brunt of her hive loosened, and swarmed into the gathered rioters. The intimidation, coupled with the inhumanly sync'd insect clones was enough to drive the attackers off and at least keep the damage they were already doing to a minimum. Other soldiers would arrive soon enough to put this rebellion down officially. Still they were still gaining steam, this anti UHV movement. She didn't have a lot of time before the sheer number of rioters would outweigh the fear she could inspire with the Kikaichu and clones. Amidst the chaos, Katherine and a clone approached one of the main offenders from earlier, and dragged him to the middle of the swarm. His level of fear had skyrocketed, and after delivering a slap to shut his mouth, she directly inquired about where to find whoever was bebhind it. UHV soldiers arrived just in time for Katherine to lead a small contingent to the hideout further down the canal. They kept up with her well enough, and by the time she arrived at the place they were all down to clown, as it were. The riot had been stalled by Katherine enough that the UHV could do a better job of fully subjugating them now. Her job on that front was done, and now she was the first in to handle the thieves guild. She guessed the riot would make their job infinitely easier, stealing that is. Katherine and the clone peeled open the secret entrance, and out popped a couple of their guards. She was deft with how she handled them. A fist impacted the jaw of an enemy following a sidestep from the clone, while the real Katherine drew power from torque after torating her arm and outright floored her own target. She held up a finger for the soldiers, and allowed her swarm to flood the hideout first. Seconds later the thieves guild in it's entirety, well the ones hiding to wait out the riot anyway, came flooding out for the soldiers to handle amid their panic. Non shinobi really did have extremely shitty mental constitution, and it made them look pathetic. The bugs were doing little more than nibbling on them and they were going nuts. They only took enough chakra to make reproduce their numbers frmo the ones that did end up dying as the men went nuts. The insects from her clones came back together, and ebfore they were all apprehended, Katherine was already letting the water of the canal take away her boat, frustrated at the role she was being forced to play but fully awares that she didn't have much choice in the matter. Farther down by not too much there were all manner of supplies and a few scaffoldings around the beginnings of an outpost. Katherine had been tasked with forming a forward operations base from this area, and she was slightly offput by the task at first, but what she saw needed doing didn't look too bad. Clones came together from insects, and the hive mind got to work. From one job right to the next. No time to dwell on how annoyed she was, how dirty she felt. No, her current job was important and so was proving she wasn't just another genin. She mostly over saw the work of the clones as they worked from the foundation that was set. She was putting together the desks and a few other furniture pieces, but they were doing all of the hard work on her behalf. Before too much time had passed she was wiping the sweat from her brow on theirs. The building, two stories and furnished as best as it could be, was complete. In the case someone came to attack the village they'd be able to use this place almost like a small fort to defend whatever was farther down the canal from. This would also make a thieves guild unlikely to pop up in this area. [Encampment]

The two intrepid adventurers...wait. Wrong story. The two unlikely ninja companions, Chigiri and Kuro-bun arrived at the canal system to check it out next and stand watch over them to make sure nothing funny was going on in the zone. It was a particularly interesting task, guard duty. It had it's upsides and downsides, but the most important thing was that this all served her master plan of gathering intelligence on the Sound Village.
Chigiri was on loan, per say, from the Land of Iron as it stood and her true loyalty was to her family and the interest of business, which had been good, but the winds of change were likely to blow at a moment's notice and it was always good to be prepared. That preparation involved knowing were her allies were strongest and weakest and making sure nothing unusual was going on that might alert her to trouble on the home-front. "If all remains clear, we can just move along, Kuro-bun.", she said with a soft chuckle to the rabbit companion, who simply nodded and kept her ears open for any signs of the abnormal in the canals.
Having not found anything of note here, Chigiri and Kuro departed and continued moving along. There was no reason to watch a sleepy canal system any further.

Katherine arrived on the scene, waiting for both of her squad, and whoever was going to be on scene to give her the low down on the event. She moved her hair away from her face, realizing there was actually a smudge on her sunglasses and cleaning them off as well as she could.
Frankie and Goon were at the canals, waiting for the shinobi crew to show up when Katherine arrived. The two of them were locally known as the 'Goon Squad', and had a hand in the Restaurant of Synchronicity's state of ruination, all due to a thief that had managed to infiltrate. Today, however, they were in a bit of a pickle. "Are yoos one o' dem sheenobes," the tall Goon called out, motioning for Katherine to come closer. Behind him, further down the canals, was a dock with a clearly lifeless fisherman facedown, a bloodstain evident even from here. Something seemed to be off about the fisherman's visual situation, with a prickly feeling of danger raising hairs on the back of her neck.

Akura walked through the streets of the village until he arrived at the Canals. “How does a fisherman get lost anyway?” He asked Totoko without looking at her, assuming that she was there and had been following him. He looked at the river and spotted the same woman as before, the familiar one, the one that something inside of him seemed to cry out to whenever he saw her. His eyes lingered on her before he cleared his throat. “Right. I suggest we try talking to some of the people around here to see if they have any information we could use.” He said to Totoko. It was very unlike him give orders or take control of the situation, but he figured that this mission was as good of a reason as any to go talk to her. She wasn’t there by chance, he wagered. Was there even such a thing as chance? Akura wasn’t so sure, but his mind was oddly focused on one thing: her; which was also unlike him. He was attracted to women as much as the next straight male, but he wasn’t known for obsessing over one woman, or over anyone or anything for that matter. Never the less, he felt that nagging voice, a whisper, inching him toward her. He had been walking toward the woman with the glasses this entire time, lingered for a second, until he finally asked: “Um, excuse me. You wouldn’t happen to know anything about a missing fisherman, would you?”
She shrugged in response to his question. It wasn't so much that she didn't have an idea, but more so that she didn't wish to upset him by pointing out that anyone could become lost for a number of reasons. When they finally arrived at the area her eyes were quick once again see the woman who shown brightly like a sun. It caused a faint dusting of pink to coat her cheeks before she was forced to look away. "Sounds good... I'll follow your lead." she was nervous, but clearly had no problem allowing Akura to take charge. As they approached Katherine she stood a few feet behind Akura and avoided looking at the woman. At the moment though her attention couldn't help but notice the two men off to the side who seemed to be between them and a ... body? It was hard to tell since her vision wasn't so great when it came to making out objects that weren't alive. "Um... Akura-kun.... I think these men might have... well" Her voice wavered and she struggled to say 'killed the fisherman' as she was clearly not at all comfortable around death.
Katherine would eye the two men, an insect taking wing from her sleeve as discreetly as it could and raising into the air. Immediately, she would have it go into recon mode, keeping an eye on the entire area. The hairs standing on her neck were an indication that something was off just as her two vantagepoints on the body were. She spotted Totoko and the familiar boy she'd met in the dojo before, but didn't immediately turn too greet them. Instead, she answered the question she was posed. "That I am," she would reply to the goonies before her, body tensed below the layers of silk even though she didn't look it. Before she could speak further, she would look to Akura, feeling something of a magnetic connection once more. "Um... no I don't beyond the body over yandere." she replied before setting her eyes back on the goons.
Frankie felt the same prickly feeling that Katherine did, his wide brimmed hat swiveling around to eye the fisherman in the distance, before slowing returning to the group. "Yah, the bubbly things on top o' him can't be removed," the small man replied to Akura, while pointing with his knife towards the corpse in the distance. "Goon 'ere can't even get near da body ta figure it up: it's like sometin' keeps pushing 'im back!" The tall Goon, hunched slightly over, brought his fists together and popped everything in one grand motion. "Yoos guyz watch, and see if dem skeelz ov yers can helps," the barrel chested, deeply toned muscle man commanded. Walking towards the first of the few small docks, the bubbly bits on the dead fisherman wiggled about, and as Goon approached the second.... WOOSH! Straight off into the water he went, a clear ooze trailing off of the wooden boards, which then seeped under once the threat was clear. A minute later, and a drenched Goon pulled himself up to the walkway the group was on. "Wha chu tinkin'," he greeted, as Frankie tossed him a towel.

Shōsan would appear in the Legato Canal after aimlessly wandering the village out of sheer boredom. "Interesting," he'd say after observing the Canal.
Goon turned from talking with Katherine to the newest shinobi in the canals. "Yoos tinkin' of somefink good?" Swiveling his head around, the white eyed, brown hatted Frankie listened in to the conversation. It was part of his job, after all, especially since Goon didn't have the brightest can o' worms. "I can't near da bodies. It's like da water reaches up and tries to gobble me down."
