Ally sighed, she knew that the Doctor was suffering she din't have to know him that long to figure it out. She silently followed him, sorry for saying what she did but she knew it was true. He din't want to get in the lifes of others but he never wanted them to leave but they did. She would be different. But she wasent sure if he would even take her on anyone adventures.

He could feel her eyes on him though he tried his best to ignore them. In a way, she was right. It felt like betrayal every single time someone left. He felt cheated even, when they did so without warning, but he did not resent them, he could not bring himself to resent them. So he smiled and waved as they went on to live their lives without him, all the while the dull heartache grew. And now... well now he was just a silly old man pretending to be three centuries younger than he actually was. Funny, he was a Time Lord, and even he could not stop time.
"How old are you Ally," he asked suddenly breaking the silence.

Ally raised an eyebrow. "22, but that's in Earth Years so I would say more like 120. Why do you ask?" she said while tilting her head to the side.

The Doctor inwardly sighed. She was too young, a child even, to have lived through her species' extinction. He'd been a great deal over 900 when Gallifrey had burned and it had still hurt more than he cared to remember.
"You're very young to be traveling with an old man," he finally stated with a smile.

Ally grinned and walked up to him then poked his nose. "Good thing you don't look old. I would not even have considered traveling with you if you were old looking." she then eyed him. "I'm sure there's lots of girls who would die to travel with you and yet here I am. You probably chose me out of pity becuase of my planet." she said while pursing her lips and then turned towards the city again.

The Doctor snorted and rolled his eyes.
"If you're going to play the burning planet card on every argument this isn't going to work out," he teased, "And I'll have you know that there are PLENTY of reasons why I invited you along... don't ask me what they were."

"Then tell me what they were" she said while now circling him. "It might take me awhile but I will find out eventually." she then stopped and looked up into the sky. With a deep sigh she said without looking at him. "Were so alike you know."

The Doctor eyed Ally and felt something painful in his hearts. Ally was so full of hope and dreams, there was so much... more. He was spent and empty. He'd seen so much death, CAUSED so much death, no, there was very little he had in common with this girl. He fixed his brown eyes on her.
"No Ally, we really aren't," he said darkly, "you lost your kind in an invasion. I pulled the trigger on mine. We're nothing alike."
He looked away and kept walking.

Ally's eyes moved to him as he walked. What he said was half true. But she followed him silently. She could tell now that he was getting unhappy with her. She had such a big mouth.

He wasn't angry or upset with her, not really. After all, she wanted someone to relate to, someone to idealize... it just so happened to be him. It was better if she was disappointed now before he got too attached. Finally the silence was unbearable.
"I'm sorry Ally, I didn't mean to snap," he began but was cut off by an arrow through the shoulder. He grunted and stumbled. "Ow, what? Oh. Hey I've been shot by an arrow, that's new!"
He chuckled and the winced.

Ally panicked and ran to his side. She caught him before he fell. "Are you alright?!" she said as she laid him down. She looked at the arrow and got a good grip on it. "get ready, this will hurt." she said while pulling quickly and hard. After a few seconds the arrow came out and she placed her hand over the wound.

"No wait-wait-waitARGH!" he cried out painfully, "THAT HURT!"
He frowned and placed his hand over hers.
"You're surrounded!" a voice called out, "Surrender you knave or face the consequences!"
"Doesn't sound like he's playing does he?"

"Stop complaining it had to come out eventually!" she said sternly back to him. She turned her head towards the voice. "Bollocks, they found us." Ally looked back at him and smiled. "You know when to run." she stood up and moved her hand away from him. "Another adventure." she grinned and walked out into the open and put her arms up. "I surrender! The man has split from me so he is not here!" she called out.

"Ally don't!" he hissed but it was too late. She'd gone and done something careless. He hated himself for what happened next.
The soldiers surrounded Ally and looked around but didn't really care for finding the Doctor.
"Right then miss, come with us," the captain ordered and the men escorted her to the King's Carriage.
The Doctor swore under his breath and followed them from a distance. He'd have a long talk with Ally regarding plans and the implementation thereof after he'd rescued her.

The carriage door opened and Ally was pushed in. After a few moments her laughter could be heard from a mile away. "O this is priceless!" she laughed as she looked at the king. Henry looked very irritated while she laughed at his request and looks.
