Justin looked at Elizabeth. "why don't you try to leave? anything has to be better than living with James." he said.

Elizabeth shook her head, "I can't leave this place, this is where I was born. Besides, after my mother, I"ll be the next one to run the clan, not James. The female vampires of the royal blood have run the clan for hundreds of years, I can't just leave and let someone like James take over." She said.

"I'm sorry. I'd love to leave James behind, but I don't want to abandon my clan." Elizabeth looked at the floor, "And I know you need to get back to your's, I just hope we don't meet in battle next time."

"Well, eat up, you'll need your strength for tonight," Elizabeth said, going in to the bathroom to take a bath.

Justin nodded and kept eating, but he was sad that Elizabeth had to stay with James.

Elizabeth closed the bathroom door and started up the water.
(timeskip)
The tunnels were completely silently, not a soul disturbing their dark depths. All the other vampires were curled up in their beds in their dark rooms. A single figure stopped at a corner, stopping another figure and making a sign to stay quiet as the made their way past a door, behind which held her mother and step-father. Elizabeth silently led Justin through the tunnels until they came to the entrance to the cave.

Justin walked behind Elizabeth, still remaining cautious.

Elizabeth stepped out on to the wide cliff, looking around. The sky was still littered with stars and the moon shone just above the herizion. She turned to face Justin, and smiled weakly, "Well, you're free." She said, not sure what else to say.

Justin hugged Elizabeth back. he didn't understand where his feelings for her came from, but they were real, and he welcomed them.

Elizabeth wished she knew how she felt for Justin. The feelings were welcome, but they were confusing. "Well well well, so, this is what you've been planning." A dark voice said as James stepped from the shadows of the tunnel. Elizabeth pulled quickly away from Justin and turned to face her step-father.
