Isadora swung her sword left and right, trying to defend herself and trying to protect James. When she reached to the boy’s range, she noticed that the king was bleeding. When did that happen? Was it from the fall he had when Rogvald tried to attack him?
The paladin yelled the king to fall back and get medic aid for his wound, but he didn’t hear her shout. He was busied fighting against the strips. Isadora cursed about James’ stubbornness as she joined battle with him. Whether Leon came to assist them or not, she didn’t know. What she knew for sure was to keep James safe. She wasn’t sure if Nino and the others were okay. However, she hoped that they would be okay.
As the Dame Knight continued slicing the strips, she suddenly heard a loud, familiar screech. That screech… Was that who she thought it was?
When she turned her head to see if it was, all she was something crashing to where Rogvald was at. She couldn’t see it well with many strips blocking her sight. Unknown what had happened, she hoped that it wasn’t Tibarn that was being caught. And as much as she wanted to see if it was him or not, she didn’t have the time to check it. The king was in need of her assistant.
Isadora chopped off one strip after another until the strips suddenly moved wild and rapidly. Fearing that the strips had become more aggressive, Isadora rushed toward James and picked him up. Once the king was settle in her saddle, Isadora rode off away from the strips as far as possible. She didn’t care if the king would protest in order to fight. She would not let him risk his left if it became dangerous.
But when she turned her head around, she noticed that the strips didn’t come after them. Instead, they flung around aimlessly liked they were floating and dancing in the wind. Before she could figure out what was going on, she heard Rogvald’s shouting. Isadora turned her attention to wear Rogvald was at, only to find he wasn’t there. Where did he go? Before she could look around to search for the scoundrel, she noticed something white and shiny in the black hole. It took her a moment to realize it was Rogvald. How did the old git fall to his spell? She did not know. But before she could react, the hole was closing. It looked like it was too late for them to rescue him. It was also too bad they couldn’t punish him either.
Just when she thought it was over, Rogvald let out a mad laugh and shouted at them that it wasn’t over. Color started to pale as she listened to his last words. The war… They were in no condition to battle against Sentria and Mordache. Although she was aware that they were still in the war, she had lost count to check the reports of the military troops. With them being busied trying to fight against the resistance and trying to uphold the new laws, she was afraid that they had very few armies to fight against the two countries. This was not good. How would they be able to drive them away with so little army? Even with the resistance, guild, Watch, and the Guard back together, it was not enough to withstand Sentria and Mordache.
And Loki... That Dark God was alive? How could it be? She thought for sure he was dead when they last saw him. She saw him died with her very own eyes. Could it be that he barely survived that last attack they gave him and somehow escaped? Sweet St. Elimine! What did it take to dispose that evil being?
Suddenly, she heard someone calling for her. It was Nino. She was shouting where she was.
“Over here, Nino!” Isadora shouted as she snapped her reins and moved her horse toward Nino and the others.
As she reached Nino and the others, she let out a surprising gasp when she saw Tibarn lying on the floor. So it was Tibarn that let out a screech earlier. She understood that he was in pain from the strips that grabbed him, but how did he escape, she could not figure out. Whatever happened while she was busied, she was thankful that it was over. But for right now, they had to heal those who were injured in the battles as well as trying to figure out how to protect their land from Sentria and Mordache.
“Nino, King James is in need of your healing.” Isadora spoke up and she let the boy off her saddle. Although she should check herself to see if she was injured, she had no time to worry about. Besides, it seemed there was something Nino wanted to speak to her. “Nino, what is it?”

As she reached Tibarn, she fell to her knees on the ground. "Tibarn... It's me, Nino... You remember... You were great." She gave a nervous smile, attempting to be reassuring. Pulling his head into her lap, she raised Sophos over him and began to chant a mend spell.
As Isadora rode up next to her, Nino heard her gasp in surprise at the state of the Hawk King. The Paladin told her the King was in need of healing, then asked her what she had wanted.
The Archsage looked up at her. "Tibarn is injured badly... Victoria is nearby, she should be able to help him... Victoria?" She called.
"Roy said that Sue took Rath away... Did they leave town? And all this business about Mordache and Sentria...There's so much that I've missed. I'll be counting on you. A lot. You were... You were third in line underneath Rath and I. That means you're in charge of the guild right now, right? I can't expect to be able to lead right now. I'm sure nobody wants someone in charge that has no idea what's going on."
There was a long silence as she continued trying to heal Tibarn. Then, she looked up at Isadora once more. "I've missed you... All of you. I am so sorry that I wasn't here... It would be kind of you to explain, but for now... We have to clean up and prepare for yet another battle."

((While this writer is struggling not to go OTL on a certain part, let's continue with the story.))
"To be honest Nino, I don't know if they do nor where they are at the moment." Isadora replied. She had nearly forgotten about Rath when they were busied fighting against Rogvald. If she wasn't concern about the king's safety so much, she would have seen if the nomad was okay.
Isadora looked around to see if the nomads were still around. After looking around carefully, she spotted at group of people near the gate of Soldier's Passage. Among the group were the two nomads she spotted. Judging on Rath's condition, it looked like he wasn't in good health. Not to mention, it looked like his daughter was trying to aid him. It seemed that they didn't want to be bothered at the moment.
"However, I'm sure they will be back now that the scoundrel is gone." The paladin commented as she turned her attention back to Nino. She listened as Nino spoke about Mordache and Sentria. But when the conversation changed to her and the position of captain of the guild, there was a sudden drop in the pit of her stomach.
Nino was correct. She was third in line to become captain of the guild if Rath and Nino were unable to perform their duties. And in addition, she was the current acting captain of that guild at this very moment. Nino had just came back and she had no full knowledge of what had happened to their country. As for Rath, the nomad was not in full health to take the position back (not to mention, he was also stripped of his power when Rogvald came into the picture.)
However, ever since Rath was stripped from his captaining position and her took over, she hadn't done well of what a captain should too. Although she had managed to keep the guild away from Rogvald as far as possible, he was able to disband her members by creating new laws and putting some of the members in trials. In fact, she hadn't even stood up against the injustice that was placed upon earlier. How could she lead the guild when failing to act as a good captain? In her point of view, it would seem that she was worse captain of all. Even worse than Rath when the nobles had doubts about him. Could she ever pay redemption and try to become a good captain after all this mess? She highly doubted.
Silence loomed between them as Nino continued tending Tibarn. It was then that the Archsage looked up to her and said how she missed everyone. It took few seconds for the words to sink into her before the paladin gave her a small nod.
"Nino, we miss you too. All of us. And yes, let's clean up this mess and prepare for the next one."
Isadora unsaddled herself from her horse and went to the nearest soldier to see if he was wounded. As the paladin checked, she turned her head back to Nino. "Nino... When we're finished cleaning up, I'll explain everything to you about what happened to Learania. In addition, I like you to explain to us why you left Learania. We shouldn't keep secrets in the guild if dire situations come to us. I will hand back the title to you when you're readied. If not, maybe Rath when he's feeling better. We will discuss about the preparation of the battle tomorrow. For now, we need to tend those who are injured and get some rest. Hopefully, Sentria and Mordache should give us one day to rest after giving us so much trouble with the battles and Rogvald. I hope the cook isn't planning to make seafood for dinner. The thought of seeing tentacles will make me lose my appetite."

“I can’t tell if you’re trying to be modest or just whiny and pathetic, Lance,” a small voice teased through an impish smile. It began to chuckle as the spiky desert plant quickly faded into view. It leaned over the trickster as he lay on his back. “No revenge? No glory? You should really have more self-confidence after a show like that. It was quite amazing! I mean you put a blade made of pure light magic right through the evil geezer’s chest! No one else was able to skewer that fossil.”
Cactus straightened up before taking a few steps back. “But I guess that’s nothing to you.” It twirled on one of its stubby legs playfully. “You think you’re so invisible~”
Only the dark haired thief could hear the illusion’s tone and see its strange form. To those greatly in tune with the supernatural, it was nothing more than a speck. If anyone/thing had the right to feel transparent, it would be Cactus. But this wasn’t a pity party. The sentient plant had appeared to congratulate Lance on not getting them both killed with his recklessness. After all if he died, it would no longer exist. Kind of like a spiritual parasite without its host.

The archsage sighed as Isadora said she did not know where Rath was. She was tired of not knowing where Rath was--- She wanted to see him. Everything still seemed so distant now... Seeing Rath would make things real again. Returning from Elibe was like jumping into- or out of- a dream... Almost as if she could not believe one or the other was real anymore. These kinds of things, Going from one dimension to another, could really mess with one's head. Not to mention all that had happened since she had gone away. It was almost as if Eyris was a new place again. Isadora said they would probably come back soon... She hoped so.
She had taken the words right out of her mouth. 'Clean up this mess and prepare for the next one.' Nobody could have summed it up better than that. The young woman had returned to a nightmare...
When the Paladin said she would like a more detailed explanation of why Nino had left... Her heart sunk. She didn't want to admit why she had left. This was because it was so surprisingly simple. When she came to Learania, she left her old home in Elibe. She thought she would be happy if she could go back. She had been wrong...
"Right... Now isn't the time but we will get to talk about it." Nino smiled at the Paladin's attempt at lightheartedness. "Seafood. Hah..." She finished healing Tibarn as best she could. "There... Um... Perhaps there's a better place we can take him to rest. You know, other than the ground of the town square. Here, I'll tend to His Highness now... Help me with him. I wonder where Victoria could have gotten off to..."
As she began working to heal the King's wounds. she started to think of all of the people she wanted to talk to... Which reminded her of something. "Oh! Isadora, do you know who that man was that was erecting those barriers? He saved my life, you know. Twice! Maybe three times. Make sure to find him for me so I can thank him properly. Why, if it wasn't for him, we would not have had time to make the light coin that helped--- Oh and who was that one with the coin? He looked kind of shady. Black hair... Pulled back in a ponytail? I simply must... We have to reward him and--" She sighed. "I have to concentrate on what I'm doing. I'm sorry, there's just so much... So much to do..."

O Father Sky, Mother Earth... I pray that you give me strength. ↣ ↣ ↣ Sue ↣ ↣ ↣ What hapened up there on the stage wasn't hard to see. The cruel adviser had swallowed himself up, with his own spell no less. It was quite a shameful and foolish way to go. "He deserved no more or less." Sue thought, showing no regrets nor sympathy towards the man who'd bestowed oppression upon Learania. At last, he was gone. At last, at least this conflict was finally drawing to a close. Now that the man was gone, the soldiers were more concerned of getting themselves healed, or running to their King's side. It was as if they'd at last opened their eyes to what really mattered.
And now that she thought of what really mattered, Sue looked down now, at her father who rested in her arms. Was he awake? Was he unconscious? It was hard to tell whether or not Rath was either knocked out, or just plain shocked over all that had happened to him. Normally, anyone would shrug off the idea of Rath being shaken up, but he had gone through a lot. She had heard Rahkain's voice, though she didn't look at the man's face.
"Let's go back."
Back to the others? Yes. Returning to her friends, her fellow guild members was a good idea. Nino was here, after all, and Rath would probably want to see her. "Yes... let's go. There is just... one thing I have to do." Sue answered the Ranger, again, still not looking to him, but her eyes staring upon her father. They were worried eyes. All this time, he hadn't spoken, not a word...
Sue nudged him slightly. "Father... open your eyes. Nino...Nino's here. I'm here... everyone is here. We all came to save you and Learania." At first, the words were spoken in a relieved tone, rather than a worried one, because well... the mood had lightened up without the strict old geezer around. Sure, Sentria and Mordache would come, but not this second. If the guild just healed themselves, they'd be fine. What really worried the young woman though was that despite the sound of her voice and the single nudge she gave Rath, he still hadn't woken. Her eyes widened, a slight panic on its way to all her senses. "F...Father? Can you hear me? It's... it's over now, and everyone knows you're not guilty! Please, by Mother Earth... wake up!" It was uncertain whether or not tears reached Sue's eyes yet, but the sadness and the worry was definitely there.<=|Nomad Trooper|==0 The path ahead shall not be easy, but I must proceed!

I've been blessed with the gifts of the gifts of the Lady Saint, so show me some respect! It's not every day you find a rarity like me.₪Victoria₪ Victoria cringed at the old man's dying words. The Dark God Loki was still a looming shadow over the guild? Since when? She was certain that hers and others' combined efforts around a year ago had dispatched the darkest of the dark users. Still, a threat like that was one to take seriously. Things were far from over. For now though, it was time to get out the staffs. The soldiers were no longer bent on turning their blades against the group, they hadn't been since the tentacles begun to shoot. "Poor souls, they were but pawns." The bishop thought, half amused, and halfway sympathetic.
That thief whom had somehow used hers and Nino's magic actually did score a hit on him. That was serving at least part of the just desserts that everyone wanted to serve! Although many would call Lance foolish, Victoria could not help but smile. That man was brave, to stand up to someone whom everyone else feared because of that powerful magic. He'd live. A lot of everyone here would, and that was something she thanked St. Elimine for.
When Nino told Victoria to heal the young King, the follower of the Lady Saint nodded. "I can actually heal more than him, great Archsage." She said, drawing her fortify staff out from hammerspace behind her bishop's cape. Holding it high into the air, Victoria chanted a spell, and a large healing light covered the vicinity. The warriors who'd fought today could probably already feel its relief.ΘжElmine's LightжΘ If you are my ally, fear not, for healing is on your way! If you're my enemy, you'll be purged, and dead you shall stay.

You know I can't slow down...
I can't hold back...
*******************
"Awesome, huh...?"
Lance placed his right arm to cover his eyes, bringing darkness over his weary eyes. "I ain't too sure how awesome it is that I just charged forward and by a stroke of luck, the old geezer picked an excellent time to go senile and get a poor attention span...too much happening to him to keep up."
He sighed again. It's not like he didn't help, but with the effort he put in, he was expecting to be excel on his own, yet he was just part of the machinery. A poor oiled one. If things were like this later, they'd be in trouble if they faced stronger people than that old geezer.
"Right..." he said as he picked himself up, taking his now normalized coin with him. "I need to sleep. And eat. Goddess I'm hungry."
*******************
Though you know, I wish, I could...
You know there ain't no rest for the wicked... Until we close our eyes for good...

Rahkain nodded as Sue said she had something to do. A sad scene unfolded in front of him. It looked like the girl couldn't rouse her father.
What! She's panicking... She's gonna cry! What do I do! What do I do?! Rahkain's experience level with women, especially crying women that were not his own mother, was extremely low. However, some kind of... (Fatherly? Caring? Strange?) instinct took over him. He approached her calmly and placed a hand on her shoulder. "It's gonna be okay. Okay? Let me see 'im."
With that, he slowly placed his ear to the man's chest. He waited. Just a sec, heart's over this way... Hoping she hadn't noticed, he shifted his position a bit. It was slow, but it was there. He was alive!
"He's fine. He's gonna be okay. Let's get him to a bed and stop wasting time--" Looking at the girl, he softened his tone. "He's... he's alright, but the best thing for him is to get him somewhere safe, now. Where can we go? Where's your home?"

Kiote Deliven & Grave Yuion Kiote had refused to leave his post as he had prepared to defend his position until he could get a shot fired at Rogvald, but that chance seemed far from coming as Kiote's leg had been grasped by the strips of darkness. The next think Kiote knew, he was airborne only to come crashing back down as he swung his sword up. And then, hardly a few moments later, it was all over with Kiote laying on the ground staring up at the sky. Caviel had been 'thrown' in some random direction when Kiote had fallen, but then again Kiote couldn't very well think straight after having slammed his head against the ground, twice. Once had been when the strip of darkness had pulled him from his chosen platform, the second after calling from the thing to the ground.
Kiote slowly pushed himself up, a bit wobbly, before attempting to focus on where he had seen his sword go, but that was beyond his skill as his vision was hardly capable of letting him focus on something more than a few feet away. He probably had a nasty bump on his head from hitting it against the ground twice, but being alive was something he couldn't complain about. Which was why he slowly started off in the assumed direction, not particularly interested in having done anything helpful, nor interested in the fact that several of the others were worried about the approaching armies. He knew nothing of what they were worried about and simply wanted his sword back.
Grave had chosen wisely to go with Roy, after all Roy had been much more capable of defending himself than Grave had without hurting himself. When all was said and done, the 'bad guy' slaying himself on his own spell, Grave reverted to his humanoid form before sticking his hand in his mouth, oddly. He grimaced at something before pulling his hand out of his mouth. "It burns." Grave stated bluntly, to no one in-particular as Roy had walked off by this point. Given the previous attack, Grave could at least say all was relatively ok. Of course people were killed, but not all of them were dead when they had stood a pretty good chance of having that happen.
Grave mumbled something incoherent about the pain in his mouth being annoying as he limped in the direction of Kiote, who seemed almost lost. Grave's leg hurt, his arms both hurt but his left was the worse at his shoulder, his mouth burned, and he was just over all not in a good temper after having been... whatever the spell had done to him. Grave didn't like magic, at all or by any means. He had a particular distaste for fire magic, but he didn't mind healing. Healing was good, in fact he was curious to know if healing would stop his mouth from burning, along with his legs and arms. Probably not, which was why Grave didn't even bother asking as he walked past bishop and sage who had been using light magic earlier.

O Father Sky, Mother Earth... I pray that you give me strength. ↣ ↣ ↣ Sue ↣ ↣ ↣ Where was home, at the end of the day? Really, Sue hadn't thought of it, was Rahkain suggested that she take her father there. For so long, Fefga's mansion had been home, but that was only because the snake of an adviser kicked her and Rath out of their rightful place. "It might not look the same... but the castle's where we stay." She said, nodding to the Ranger. His reassurance that her father would be alright was just what she needed to move forward.
And so, she rode Andre forward as far as she could, until having to leave her steed outside in the stables that were nearby, and carrying Rath on foot. They had fought so hard for this, to finally be able to step inside, and walk through the halls of the place which they called home. "At last we are here... and the both of us can rest peacefully." Sue said. It was unclear who she said it to: Rath, Rahkain, or maybe even herself. Maybe it was all of them.
For now... just for now, there would be no more battles they'd have to fight. No more sorrow, anguish, or worry that those they loved would be the next ones to be on the gallows. For Sue, and many of the others of Learania, there was a sigh of relief to be breathed. They'd weathered one crazy storm, and somehow got through it alive. When she laid her father down in his own bed, and covered him carefully with the sheets (which were thankfully replacing the old goat's choice of black, black, and more black courtesy of the castle workers), the young woman smiled. She'd fought. She'd won. And now... she simply took a seat at the side of her only family member, falling asleep in the chair with a smile on her face.<=|Nomad Trooper|==0 The path ahead shall not be easy, but I must proceed!
