Aido stayed standing for a moment, reading over the chalk written menu and eying the pasteries that are on display. While not too big on sweats she still had an appreciation for a good piece of pie.
"Nalira what're you in the mood for? Something more meal like or just deserts and warm drinks?" she asked, sitting and wondering if she should read out the menu to her friend.

It took Nalira a few moments to register what her friend had said. She blinked a few times, snapping her head up, coughing into her hand. She looked slightly dazed, squeezing her eyes shut, trying to remember what Aido had said.
"What? Oh, uh .. whatever you're having." She mumbled half-heartedly, leaning her head into her palm, sighing heavily, diving head first into her thoughts.

Aido frowned, reaching across the table to touch Nalira's hand as the shift in moods seemed to complete, "what's wrong?"

Nalira looked over to Aido, her expression unsettled. She shook her head, smiling at her friend's caring nature. "Nothing, I'm just .. thinking .."

Aido's look of concern deepened and her curiosity perked. She took a deep breath to settle it.
She gave Nalira's fingers a small squeeze, "if you ever want to talk Nala, I'm here, okay?" Letting go she stood, "I'm just going to go order us something warm to drink. Be back in a moment."

Nalira nodded, smiling gratefully. She moved her head to lean on her palm once more, letting out a heavy sigh.
"How do you leave the past behind, when it keeps finding ways to get to your heart? It reaches way down deep and tears you inside out untill you're torn apart." Nalira whispered to herself, images of Finando flashing before her.
"How can you connect in an age where strangers, landlords, lovers, your own blood cells betray? What binds the fabric together, when the raging, shifting winds of change keep ripping away." Nalira squeezed her eyes shut, biting back the urge to cry.

The line was short so Aido was able to place their order (two cups of tea, one hot chocolate, something called a 'chocolate crossiant' and a warm chicken sandwhich which apparently comes with soup) pay, show the waiter their table and head back within only a minute or two.
Coming back and noting Nalira's hunched over stance Aido hurried the last few yards, hugging her friend around the shoulders.

Nalira smiled, leaning into her friends embrace. She sighed heavily, taking a sudden interest her hands. She twisted them together, her fingers curling together in a way that almost looked painful, a sad expression on her face.

Aido didn't say anything, opting instead to trail a hand over Nalira's shorter hair, she wouldn't force the other girl to tell her what was bothering her if she didn't want to.

Nalira sighed, grabbing Aido's hand gently. She didn't know why, but for some reason, she just had to feel someone else. She felt numb, and she needed to feel something, anything. Warmth, flesh, blood .. anything. Nalira let out a sharp breath, closing her eyes and frowning.

Aido ran her thumb over Nalira's fingers gently, rubbing the other Tales back with her free arm.
"Nalira...?" she murmured, questioning concern edging her voice, brow furrowing as Nala let out a sharp breath.

Nalira winced, gripping Aido's hand harder. She wouldn't let go, she couldn't, Aido wouldn't do that to her. Aido was always there for her, she wouldn't let go.
"Aido.." She whispered hoarsly, her breath becoming heavy and ragged. "Just .. please." She mumbled to herself, squeezing Aido's hand, her eyes almost fearful that Aido was going to leave her.

"I'm here, I'm right here..." Aido replied in a low, comforting murmur. She gently shifted Nalira over in the cushioned seats and settled beside to, moving to better engulf the other girl in an embrace, making sure to not let her hand go throughout the entire process.

Nalira murmered words under her breath that sounded a lot like 'what would I do without you?', leaning her head on Aido's shoulder, a small, single tear trickling down her cheek.
She needed this, and Aido knew it. Aido knew everything.

Aido smiled a thin smile of concern and merely continued to hold Nalira, prepared to hold the other girl as long as needbe.
