 she slipped past his grasp like water and shooed him playfully. "out out. You're in the way of my masterpiece!" she laughed a bit and turned the stove on and turned back to the supplies on the counter cutting them up as the stove heated

Devlin just chuckled some more stepping back "Fair enough." He said in an amused tone and extracted himself to a spot within the living room and sat back down on the chair he sat in the night before while he waited as Lacey cooked. he frowned feeling somewhat bad but then again he was a guest and would have done the same for anyone visiting him.

Lacy went right to work frying up everything and putting everything together. Okay so maybe she cheated a little when the table set itself or the empty packages threw themselcea away, but she got it all done in twenty minutes, looking a little funny with flour in her hair. "breakfast is ready." she said to him with a curtsy using her apron and laughed

Devlin chuckled and just looked at her gesture with a laugh "Merci, madame." he said chuckling some more as he moved to sit at the table and looked at her and pointed at his hair "By the way you have a little something there." he said.

lacy smiled when she had tonxross her eyes and look up to see just a bit of the flour. She chuckled and wiped it out and threw off the apron. "merci" she replied walking past the kitchen to the dining room where everything she had listed and he had mentioned waited, and steamed. "I wasn't sure if you were joking or not, so vóla" she smiled taking a seat "besides its been forever since I've actually had a homemade meal, and I'm starved."

He chuckled some more and nodded "I joke a lot maybe but, when it comes to a good meal not a chance." he said smiling "And thank you for having me for breakfast." he said finally and slowly picked up his utensils looking down at the perfect Omelet set before him next to sausages and coffee. he smiled and licked his lips but waited for her.

she laughedbat his expression and urfed hin on. "go ahead! I promise it won't bite back!" she drank at some orange juice and answered "Its my pleasure. I should be thanking you for helping me out last night, and for keeping me company. People don't usually do that." she frowned for a second but smiled after a moment and ate one of the sausages

He just chuckled a little bit more and began to dig into his own meal and took a sip of coffee "Well your welcome." he said after a moment smiling still "I wonder why people don't do it that often, I wouldn't wish to assume anything but you don't seem to be the type that bites, and likes pain." he said letting his eyes role up to the ceiling at the suggestiveness of his statement. "But I can tell that you are a person who is in need of a friend to help her through hard times." he said.

she didn't reply to his statement. Only frowned and looked down at her plate. And sent him the mental message they had a right to be once. But not anymore. she shrugged "sometimes people assume the worst because they see bits of whats worse in the person." her dark eyes were calm despite the direction of the conversation.

Devlin nodded and was quiet for a moment before looking at her with a smile on his face "Aye, that they sometimes do. That may have been then but this is now we all can change our selves our lot in life is never set in stone, else neither of us would be sitting here having this conversation." He said as he finished his meal leaving the plate clean. "I would probably be still on a battlefield or working in a factory if I didn't rise to the occasion." he said slowly and then shrugged "It may be seen as a flaw in me but i tend to see the good in people, especially women." he said smiling.

Lacy smiled and it showed in her eyes. "thank you" she whispered and ate some more, though at the moment her appetite had vanished. She chuckled. "oh woman, really? Did you ever think it was just because you're a big 'ol flirt?"

He laughed and rolled his eyes towards the ceiling laughing still "Maybe." he said still laughing some more at her reaction to what he said. and when His merriment ended he began to speak on a more serious tone "Life, at least for us mortals humans almost specifically is too short so why not enjoy it." he said and shrugged "But, it is good to meet and talk with people who have met adversity and come out for the better."

((I am soooo sooo sooo sorry!! My internet has been really stupid and dying! xp kill me now burning_eyes rolleyes )) Lacy stood with a glad smile. 'I just hope to come out of it better, it's definetly still a work in progress." She looked him over with a curious gaze "You seem to have quite a few answers, for a human you're very insightful." she started to put the left over food away in containers. "perhaps not short enough?" She said referring to his life's short comment, and considering the fact he had seen much war and bloodshed
