Fog smiled mentally when he got a reaction from synthic. "Whats wrong? He's only an experiment after all." Fog said, looking at Mat again, who hadnt moved, or even looked at synthic. he didnt react to anything at this point, even the blood running from his hand. the blow he had taken had to have done serious damage in his hand, and Fog walked towards him to make sure he didnt bleed to death. that would completely defeat his purpose. as he did though, he made sure to pay attention to the two he had captured, to learn if they had any powers. reaching Mat, Fog reached down, pulling the knife out of the altar, and gave Mat a good kick, to see if he could prompt them to use any abilities they may have again. the knife remained in Mat's hand the entire time, even as Fog kicked him, sending him sliding towards the doorway they were on the other side of, but not close enough to it for him to be easily in reach if they broke the barrier.

"He's not just an experiment you monster!" Synthic cried, kneeling down next to Mat, her hands planted on the barrier, "Mat's a human being, not an experiment!"

 All Hail the Reign of the Ostriches!Let it hereby be announced that:Drake grimaced at Synthic's reaction. "Calm down, Synthic. The man is looking for a reaction." Of course, it wasn't like her reaction would help him. Drake was the one who was here to do the actual saving. "Why do you need him, if I may ask?"...that is all

Fog smiled. he thought he was going to give him a stereotypical supervillain big plan reveal monologe. smiling, Fog decided to give it to him. "Its simple. when the people i have sent to snowpeak return with the Apocalypse, i will be taking little Mat here, and his unique... abilities, to the remains of Zen's castle, and sacrificing him there, to rend reality, and merge this reality with the one linked there." Fog said seemingly sincere. picking Mat back up, Fog carried him back to the altar, pulling the knife back out, without Mat flinching, or reacting the entire time, and stabbed it back into his hand, pinning him to the altar.

"In fact, none other would give up so easily." Fog said. "Its simply a matter of... pushing the right buttons." Fog told him, turning back to them, and walking back to the barrier, smiling at them, and gesturing, causing the barriers to beging to close upon each other, while casting verbally another set of barriers, to keep them in the entryway if they escaped the crushing barrier walls.

All Hail the Reign of the Ostriches!Let it hereby be announced that:Drake saw the barrier shrinking to crush them. Now that was motivation. He sighed and let loose a sonic blast at the ground, hoping the barrier was a dome, as to be a sphere it would have had to cut into the ground. ...that is all

The barriers were simply a pair of energy walls, not sinking below ground. the blast would be effective to dodging. watching, Fog made sure to note this. he knew a few spells that might block the sound, but he would have to be fast if it came to dodging this man's attack. the second set of walls were still maintained, to keep them in. but these barriers were not moving.

He had already proven the walls didn't go into the ground, so it was only a matter of digging. He began trying to blast a tunnel under the next set of barriers to get to Matt. ...that is all
