Ephraim's surroundings fell silent, but only for a moment until a cry for help was heard piercing through the air. He shot his head toward the direction, then turned, trying to locate where that scream had come from. Ephraim recognized that voice, it was that of Sue. Another followed soon after and the lancer recognized that one as well. Curses! The screams were his only trail, Ephraim made a guess at the direction it was coming from and from sheer luck it lead him toward Abel because if it didn't, a bandit wouldn't have come out to attack him.
"Move!" Ephraim commanded, pulled him arm back and out of reflex, FALCON punched him just where the jawline was. Ever so 'kindly' stepping over the grunt before making a mad dash toward Abel. By the time he actually caught up to the hero, the only thing Ephraim was capable of seeing was Abel suddenly shouting 'Sue' repeaditly then making a quick clean sprint across the field. "Hey wait!" Gah! Question and plan later! Right now Ephraim needed to help out his other friends before they ended up injured or worse.

Oh, so she wasn't pathetic. Maybe the fight would be interesting. But, it seemed the girl was incapable of counting. She had one weapon, while Javelin had two. While the broader blade was blocked and held the sword by its outcropping, the sharper blade was moving to stab right into the woman's esophagus. Unfortunately, Javelin was forced to recall his attempt simply due to being pushed back. She had pushed him back. What was the world coming to?
And yet again, the woman slashed at him, forcing Javelin to jump back. He was unable to leap in again because, wouldn't you know, there yet another slash. The woman was making it very hard for her to be killed quickly. The nerve of her, prolonging things! And for goodness sake, she had turned into a raging boar. There was no opening anywhere. She was unbelievably inaccurate, however, but perhaps that was simply because Javelin happened to be more agile.
As much as Javelin would have loved to continue doing the evade dance, the fun in it had dissolved. He ducked from the slash of a sword and then pushed himself back, half flipping to land with his hands. He pushed back up, and landed on his feet, then did this once more, gaining suitable distance. He crouched and prepared to fly at the woman again, but delayed himself when he heard a voice calling for his captive. Damn, others were already catching up. Javelin had full confidence in himself, as he should, but was already injured and didn't wish to face several opponents at once in the open. He especially had no desire to go up against a dragon in an open field. That would be truly idiotic. He had no choice but to abandon the second part of his mission.
"Hmph..." he grunted. "Fine then." He put both blades away and then help up his hand to show the woman he was unarmed. "Forget that old man, it's not my problem. He should have made sure his trap was better. In any case, my services end here. Have a nice night!" If the woman blinked, she missed Javelin's departure. He wouldn't have been able to leave like that if he had to take the girl. And then he would have been caught by that beast and its rider again. No, the old man's problems were his own- Javelin had had enough. His loyalty lied with somebody much more important.

O Father Sky, Mother Earth... I pray that you give me strength. ↣ ↣ ↣ Sue ↣ ↣ ↣ It was the clash of blades which made Sue open her eyes again. There was someone else, another cloaked one that was fighting? Could this stranger be trusted any more than the shady character who'd taken her? Either way, she couldn't speak. It'd felt as if her voice had locked up inside, and not a single word, not even a cry, could escape. When Javelin tossed her to the floor to engage the mysterious shadow who'd just crept out of the darkness of the night, her eyes only enlarged in terror as she rolled a distance away. Sue did not scream. She did not cry. The nomad was much to terrified to do either.
"...Who... Who is that... why are they..." Her thoughts were even jumbled. In this situation of peril, nothing seemed clear. She did lift her head up when she heard the voice of a comrade though. Abel? He was coming to her rescue? With just a glimmer of hope, she tried again, to vocalize. It didn't work though, not yet. It probably wouldn't work, not until he was in her sights.
The fight between the mysterious shadow and Javelin proved too fierce for the assassin who'd attempted to kidnap the Nomad Trooper. She felt a slight relief, when she saw the man retreating. Still, what was next? Would the one with the blade, whom was obviously female with those stilettos, turn her blade on Sue next? Her fear didn't dull, at least not until the footfalls of Abel and another whom she couldn't quite see yet because he was still a silhouette in the background were getting closer.
"A...Abel, I'm... I'm here... this person... they... they stopped... my captor..." She said, as loud as she could, which wasn't loud when fear dulled the tone of her voice. Still, it was good to speak, finally assured that her comrades were here for her. Her comrades, her tribesmen. They'd come. Was the cloaked person one of them? "You... why...?" She asked simply. It was clear enough who she was talking to, and what answers she was asking for.<=|Nomad Trooper|==0 The path ahead shall not be easy, but I must proceed!

The rider said nothing back to the kidnapper. When he vanished, she sheathed her sword and calmly walked over to the girl, also ignoring her question. She knelt down, making sure her hood concealed her face, then turned the girl over so that the rider could get to the wire. She didn't handle the wire with care or with regard to Sue's wrists, and instead just did what she had to, to get it off. Once it was, she stood back up and took a few steps away.
"Listen carefully." she started. "Rogvald is making sure that every entrance is highly secured for tomorrow. Any sight of the resistance will send a volley of arrows upon you. But what he doesn't know is that arrangements have been made that leave the eastern gate, the one behind the castle, unmanned. That gate is called the Soldiers' Passage, because only soldiers use it. Most people aren't aware of it. Rogvald is so busy stationing soldiers at the other three gates that he's left that one open. Do with that knowledge what you will." She lifted her hand and then pulled out a rolled up parchment, which she tossed over her shoulder to the girl. "Last thing; a message from your father. He wrote it down in his hand, thinking that you wouldn't believe me if I were to relay it myself."
"Susan. I die tomorrow. I do not wish for you to come. However, if you insist on it, then I only ask one thing. Do not look away. I could not have asked for a better daughter. Please forgive your fool of father. Farewell."
"He doesn't know I told you about the gate. But I thought you should know." The woman let out a whistle and the wyvern flew down beside her. "Do pass it on." She woman mounted the wyvern and took off into the dark night's sky. (Sorry for the delay, was waiting for the message. BLAME RATH.) [):<]

Abel was relieved when he heard Sue's voice calling back to him. He wasn't quite sure what she was saying, though. He thought it sounded like she was saying somebody stopped her captor, but... that couldn't be it. Abel looked behind him as he ran and saw Ephraim tailing him. He had heard him shout, but was too frantic in his one track mind to respond. "She's alive! Let's hurry, she may be hurt!"
When Abel got closer, he saw something big going into the sky. "What is...?!" He looked over at Sue and saw that she seemed unharmed. "Sue, are you okay? Are you hurt? Do..." Abel suddenly became dizzy and hook his head before falling to his knees. "...you happen to have some antitoxin...? Eheh..."

O Father Sky, Mother Earth... I pray that you give me strength. ↣ ↣ ↣ Sue ↣ ↣ ↣ And carefully, Sue did listen to the mystery person's every word. They gave her a message that would certainly mean something: the Soldier's Passage was going to be left open for them. An opening. That was all the Resistance needed in order to rescue her father. The nomad trooper nodded nervously to her cloaked messenger, taking in the information as she rubbed her now free wrists.
But, the other message, that from her father, could have broken her heart. He did not wish for her to come? "But... Father... your judgment... it's... too..." The last bits of his message, of how she shouldn't look away, and how she was a great daughter to him, at last brought the young woman to tears. He didn't even wish to be saved! Sue's prideful Father, a great Chief in all respects (also known as "Captain of FEF") was prepared to give his life! She didn't want to accept it. Her eyes pooled at last, with tears of sadness. Tears of fear. She was not ready to lose him. She didn't want to lose him like this either.
Just before she told the shadow what she was to do, they vanished. They were here to be a messenger, that was all. Turning around, she had to wipe her tears now. She could not let Abel nor Ephraim, nor anyone else see them. Her friends had come, concerned already! She need not worry them more. "Abel, I am fine now... I'm safe... !!!" Sue looked surprised when he asked for an Antitoxin. Had he been stricken by poison? "H...Here. It's a nomadic herbal remedy, Abel! It does the same thing." Sue said, offering it. She had to stay positive. She had to stay determined.
"Abel... Lord Ephraim... do me a favor. Pass on the message. Tomorrow... we head through the Soldier's Passage. I will not let my father's final moments be in the anguish of that tyrant's torture. I swear it by Father Sky!" The nomad trooper declared, making a fist filled with conviction. It as a promise she'd made herself since she'd heard of Rath's imprisonment. Sue would save him. Sue would protect him. It would be done on her honor as a tribeswoman of Sacae, a guild member, and a daughter.<=|Nomad Trooper|==0 The path ahead shall not be easy, but I must proceed!

Let the moonlight sign post shine through the clouds to me ____and show me which road to take ______No matter how close to breaking I am today.... I'll re-awaken the distant memory of that day______ So don't forget, keep it carved in your heart. -Ephraim- It was by the time Abel and Ephraim showed up that the sudden attacker had left. Now there was only one, however he or she did not seem to be a threat to their nomadic friend there. Just as the lancer got closer a gust of wind occured followed by the heavy wings of a dragon creature. A wyvern? Ephraim though, shielding his eyes from the dirt that suddenly flew toward him when the rider took off. It was too dark to see who the owner of that wyvern was...but whoever they were, they were long gone by now. Sue! The name shot back into his mind and Ephraim proceeded to follow Abel toward the nomad. "Are you all right?" even though that question was directed to Sue, it seems Abel deserved that question more. "Hey!" Ephraim called, gently placing a hand on Abel's shoulders. Poison? From those archers earlier? Or from something else? When Sue announced to the two that she was ok, her voice was still a little unsteady. Ephraim didn't question it because he knew that feeling all too well. Well he should, he's been in and out of the battlefield multiple times. Her voice soon steadied as she asked them to pass on a message. Soldier's passage...to save Rath? Well I'll be damned, so this trip wasn't a waste after all. Ephraim nodded at Sue's request and stood up slowly once Abel was capable of balancing himself after taking that medicine. "Understood. However, If we are in dire need of time. I think Kishuna can make it back to town more quickly then any of us here." Ciela can probably round up the Laguz if they really wanted to join, its not like any human/beorc could understand animal talk often. "I'll round up those here" with that, Ephraim turned around and slowly started to return to where the others were. He looked around for a moment, made a face like a :I then called out for the morph . "Kishuna!" No later then a second did the blonde morph show up in front of him. Blah blah blah, Ephraim asked him to do a favor and inform some other guild members in town in a discreet way or at least Joshua's side etc etc, I do not know how Kishuna acts so YEA. ________ So don't give up, don't stop being strong in life __________Even when you're so sad that you can't go on The wind will blow on us_________ Who worried and walked together___ no matter where we go
