((These have to be the weakest things on the codex XD))
The beasts didn't know what hit them, it was all over too soon to react. They hadn't anticipated the opponents movements well enough, and had payed a terrible price. Each beast hung from the feral like bells on a Christmas tree.

Lyethery took a moment to pluck the beast from his spines and to unhinged the jaw of the one that bite his leg. After that is done he picked up the deceased mayor's body and went outside to give him a proper burial before walking back inside to collect the bodies. With them all in a bag he began his trek back to the city to report the mission.

She knew what they were called but not where to find them or what they even looked like. However perhaps they would know who she was.

A group of people wearing very bright and showy armor would soon catch Kurai's attention. The leader of the group seemed to be around thirty or fourty, and had obviously seen more than a few bouts in his days. He looked back at Kurai as he heard her approach, smiling, but keeping a stern expression that conveyed a sense of leadership. "I take it you are the one who'll be helping us deal with the problem here...I actually know your name, so you need not say who you are. My name is Ahldskyf, I lead this contingent of the Circle." He extended a hand to her, his dark blue eyes looking very tired, and his sandy hair making him seem as though he'd been here for a while already. "You'll see four others with me, I suggest you introduce yourself to them. They'll tell you more about your mission."

[850/850] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ It didn't take long for Kurai to be blinded by extremely shiny armor. Without a doubt she knew that these men were the paladins she was looking for. As one approached her smiling she smiled right back being polite. "Yes I am," She spoke and was about to say her name until he said he already knew it. Nodding to him "Understood then I'll be back momentarily." She spoke to him once more as she went through the area finding the other paladins and telling them who she was. Once she was done she came back to Ahldskyf and waited for further instructions.

Ahldskyf nodded as Kurai returned and looked back at the town, crossing his arms while looking like he was in deep thought. "You probably haven't noticed since you haven't been in the town yourself, but something is wrong with the people that live here. By wrong, I mean....hm..." Ahldskyf thought of a way to describe how they were acting. "Some of them seem to have lost their minds, not in a way of being naked in the streets, but...when you talk to them you can see fear, rage, or any number of negative emotions amplified by just looking in their eyes. We're just going to be conducting an investigation to see if we can root out the cause for the insanity. Would you rather be sent with another Circle member or go alone?" Ahldskyf knew that it could get dangerous, but they brought small numbers to appear as not a threat.

But going with a circle member had more benefits. "I want you to come with me." She spoke to him honestly as she just wanted to be through with this so that she could go back to her lover. Scratching her head she then turned to the town and sighed. "Nevermind. You'd only get in my way." She spoke as she walked into the town to see the insanity that this man of the circle spoke of.

"Very well, then everybody...spread out and regroup when you've obtained enough suitable information! And under no circumstances are we allowed to kill civilians!" With that, the five members of the circle split for Kurai, leaving her to her own devices. At the same time, a man with his arm wrapped in black bandages approached Kurai. "Such a shame, right? They're fighting, but they don't even know what for...isn't that silly?" Kurai would see that this person looked very familiar. He had a familiar smile, familiar hair...but his hair was blood red instead of snow white. "Tell me something, Kurai...what're you afraid of losing?" He asked that question with that same bright smile as before...

He seemed completely relaxed and at home around Kurai's aggressive stance. "Stand down." The kiranu ordered, looking as if he just got out of a fight with all of the blood pouring from his face and body. "In truth, I'm just here to deal with an escalating problem...you see...every day these paladins bother me more and more. I'm tired of them...I want them dead." His eye flashed an ominous gold as he stared at Kurai, suddenly it seemed as though blood was gushing from his right eye. "And you're going to help me...or die with them. Whichever floats your boat."

As she began to breathe quickly thinking of what to do she couldn't believe this one bit. "Haruki just what the hell do you think you're doing!?" She shouted at him as she needed to find somewhere to gain her balance so to speak. She swore to always protect him and never harm him. Yet he sent her here in order to see what was causing all these villagers harm. Was it him all along? Was she supposed to break her oath and harm him? Her mind was sent into a spiral as she waited for an answer.

"Hahaha! That look in your eyes is perfect!" Haruki bowed, introducing himself once more. "I'm not that weakling, Haruki...I'm on a completely different level than him. My name is Zetsu." Haruki raised up from his bow and shrugged. "Trust me, I'm far more fun than he is. I get sick of his preaching...I won't allow him to keep me locked away, so I just...broke free." Haruki shrugged again, she wasn't that far along yet so she didn't know. "I'm the darkness in his heart, love. I'll do the things he never could, but he gets to watch it all go down from in here!" Haruki pointed at his heart with a mad smile, tormenting people is how he got his kicks. Haruki then waved at Kurai, his smile becoming peaceful and serene again before he dashed in to the town and vanished, leaving a trail of blood behind in his wake.

"Don't you dare call him a weakling you piece of trash!" She shouted at him. She registered what he was saying and realized that Haruki was still conscious within that body. As he vanished she cursed and ran into the town by following the blood trail. She knew just what she was going to do with this guy.
