"On occasion," was the reasonable reply, followed by a.. thoughtful look, though amusement still glimmered.
"Devotion strips you of dignity - is that how you see it?"

Seth paused and narrowed his eyes slightly at the other elite.
"Wagging your tail and following in your master's shadow strips you of dignity. Plus its unprofessional."

Nadja's intentions remained cordially opaque.
"It's certainly against uniform code," she smirked. "She may grow out of it yet retain her value. Young dogs often do. But I think there are merits to subordinates who not only cower but act willingly on your behalf."

He was not amused.
"To a point." Seth agreed. "A line has to be drawn somewhere. Agents and grunts are not meant to be BFFs with their superiors."
The brunette wasn't entirely convinced that Nadja was taking this seriously.

"Well." Nadja briefly considered the double doors and her smile faded, but not entirely. "They'll cross that line when they mistake courtesy for affection."

"Hm," was all Seth had to say about that. It seemed to be a satisfactory enough answer for him. Despite the reservations he still had on the matter.
"Enjoy your little trip, then. I expect to see you when you get back."

Nadja arched her brows at that. Oh you do, do you. Seth was given a coolly speculative look.
"I expect you will if you're in the labs that afternoon," was her dry response. After a pause she looked at him more fully.
"But if you tell me when you're free we can arrange something."

Seth gave a slight upward tilt of his chin, his jaw set stubbornly as he returned her cool gaze.
"Hn," was his grunted response to her initial statement. A response to her second statement soon following.
"Tuesday afternoon, in the gym, you still owe me a battle."

"So I do." Nadja smirked, and there was a hint of challenge there, made or accepted, although which challenge wasn't entirely clear. There were a lot of them floating around.
"I'll see you then." The redhead shifted toward the exit.

Blue eyes followed Nadja as she moved towards the exit.
"Yeah," was Seth's only response as he watched her go. A smirk finally coming to his lips once she had gone.
