Anuella I'm loving GTA: San Andreas, but I keep having little problems that can't be fixed, and being the perfectionist that I am, I'm forced to start the game over from the beginning. sweatdrop The first time I started over was because I was frusterated. Flying missions aren't my thing. Now I'm starting over because my girlfriend doesn't want to date me anymore (she's never home and the multiplayer icon outside her house is missing), so I'm starting over yet again. crying

Yeah, it's better now.
It was crazy-I pulled a muscle or something but my friend, who had the same problem, doped me up on massive painkillers. When the painkillers wore off (at school no less >_<) I couldn't walk and was crying from pain crying .
More painkillers and muscle relaxants later, I did make it to the party. But the Xbox thing didn't work out until I had to leave...but hey, there was free pizza, the entire arcade was free, and I got to see friends I hadn't seen since I quit working there whee

I just finished The Bard's Tale. A game with many similarities to Champions of Norrath, Baldurs Gate and Diablo. Unlike the others, this game might appeal more to RPG fans, in that your character, The Bard (that's what he's called, you see), has quite a bit of dialogue. You can affect his behaviour towards others, and there's no more of that annoying inventory adjusting. When you find an item, it falls under one of two catagories. Equipment or treasure. Treasure is automatically converted into the currency of the realm, silver, while any equipment you pick up will be compared to what you have, and if it's better, it will replace what you wear and the old stuff will be converted into silver. No muss, no fuss.
The Bard is a worth fighter, but he also posesses a wonderful array of magic. Now, we're not talking about healing spells and fireballs. Oh, no. The Bard will play a magic song to summon up an ally to aid him in battle. Different allies have different skills. There are basic fighters, a healer, a trap-finder, elemental creatures and other various things that will give you quite a bit of fun. The number of creatures you can summon is dependant on the instrument you carry. You start off with a limit of one, and end with four.
Well, I'll not give away the plot, but I will give a basic taste of it. The game takes the cleched "rescue the princess" story, but makes fun of it along the way. There aren't many plot twists (besides one at the end), but the story is pretty good, in my opinion. A great go at an old story.
I wouldn't recommend buying this game, but one might want to rent it. It doesn't take long to play through. Maybe a week or two. Fun for all.
Oh, and one tip for those who do play. Not a big one, but something I overlooked the first time through. After you leave the Inn in Houten, look around the well ahead of you. You'll see a dog. Be nice to him. He'll be your friend forever. heart
