☦☩Ⱥȴɑɽα☩☦ Alara bit back a giggle from the sight of her master working out in his study. The idea of working out in a study amused her. She was unaffected by the sight of him topless; Alara wasn't going to fawn over his muscles or anything like that, she had long since gotten used to seeing men working out. The brunette obediently moved out of the way and followed him to the rooms. Her grey eyes blinked when he offered her one of the rooms, "Surely, it's not up to me which room I get?"

He rose a brow. "I don't see why not, you live here. Right? I see no reason why you shouldn't choose where you sleep. I mean. You have every right to be comfortable. Just like any real person, slave or not. You're just like me." He said, as he slipped his glasses off and cleaned the lenses.

☦☩Ⱥȴɑɽα☩☦ 'Except I'm not like you...' "So what you are saying is, I'm more like a guest in this house...except I do the chores?" She raised her own brow questioningly.

"Mostly, yes. I figure. Slavery is a waste of time. I am not cruel, unless the person decides that I need to be. I figure. I don't need to be cruel, I quite enjoy having you around. And, for your work, you will be paid." He said, still cleaning his lenses.

☦☩Ⱥȴɑɽα☩☦ Alara seemed to have frozen in place for a few seconds at the word 'paid'. She swallowed. "...Paid work??" It then dawns on Kyoya that the small female in front of him probably never has seen a single dime of the money she had worked for to win for her masters, and she was the one getting battered and bruised for it.

Kyoya frowned some, as he figured out what had happened almost immediately. "Yes, paid. And you can use it on what you please. I figure. If you have to deal with me, and the idiot in this house. You need to be able to at least have a little money for something." He said with a smile, as he replaced his glasses on the bridge of his nose.

☦☩Ⱥȴɑɽα☩☦ A small frown etched onto her lips as she began to think about what she could actually spend it on... she never had to buy anything except groceries for her masters. That frown however disappears as she couldn't help but giggle at Kyoya's description of the other master of the household. Her grey eyes look back into the room he had offered her. "This is going to take a long time to get used to..."

"It may take you a while. But I don't mind." He said softly with a smile.

☦☩Ⱥȴɑɽα☩☦ Alara's lips also took on a small smile, "I suppose you have the time to be patient for some things in your life?" Referring to his vampire/elf race.

He chuckled some. "That is both the curse and the blessing of a Elf." He said.

☦☩Ⱥȴɑɽα☩☦ Alara nods at his words. She couldn't comprehend at all what it would be like to be an elf and live as long as they do. Though she would never want to find out, her life was never meant for anything else other than to be in servitude of someone. That was what she was brought up to believe since she was seven. "And yet it's still the object of envy of most humans."

"Humans believe that Elves have better lives because we live longer. It is no reason to envy that we live longer. Most Elves never leave their village. They are rural. Few see cars or electronics. Because they still ride horses and shoot bows and arrows. As well as delivering mail... Humans have it a better." He said as he slipped his hands in his pockets.

☦☩Ⱥȴɑɽα☩☦ Again, she nods. "It's just humans don't ever see it like that because we have a tendency to feel and be greedy." It was slightly amusing how their conversation had turned from servant's rights to race.

He nodded. "Sadly, I have seen enough humans in my life to know that. And if you look around the home, few things, besides things that need be are electronic. And Elves. We have no reason to feel or have the need to be greedy. We are thankful for each day of life, we never steal from one another. We are kind and help each other.... We all work for each other. And we even help travelers who are not even in the slightest Elvish. We have even helped humans. Of course though our things were stolen from us. We hold no grudges..." He said.

☦☩Ⱥȴɑɽα☩☦ "And we humans take it for granted and do not do anything in return. It shows just how imperfect we are. Everyone has flaws, some though have more than others..."
