As Cassie fixed her make-up, she couldn't help but be bothered by Jac's glare. Scowling, as she reapplied her eyeliner with an expert hand, Cassie thought, What did I do to her? It wasn't like I planned to let Catherine get hurt... Then again in the X-men she was beginning to learn that you couldn't win everyone over. As she thought about it she remembered the bathroom incident where it looked like she was threatening Catherine and Cassie did a face palm for a minute and muttered, "Oh, right..."
Sully then knocked on the open door and asked, "Are you okay, Cassandra? It isn't like you to talk to yourself... everyone is gone if you were wondering. You don't want to be late for lunch right?"
"I'm fine," Cassie said. "It's just been a long day. I don't really feel like talking about it..." She didn't add at least to Sully. If she was going to talk to anyone it would probably be Emma Frost, she was the x-men that Cassie was probably closest too in a lot of ways. Cassie and Emma Frost had similar personalities to some degree, and Cassie liked to think of Emma as the big sister she never had. It isn't to say that Cassie wasn't close with the other X-men, she was on fairly good terms with everyone at the mansion, Cassie just hit it off probably best with Emma.
Smiling, Cassie threw up a peace sign, grabbed her book bag, and hurried out of the door when she ran into her brother... swearing vividly in Spanish she turned to leave when he grabbed her wrist.
"Where are you headed?" He demanded.
"Lunch?" Cassie said, "And before you tell me I have detention with you I should point out you gave me after school detention with you, too. Double detention for being late for a class that isn't yours is totally unjustified."
"Fine," sighed Alexander, running his fingers through his hair. "Since I don't want to put up with you during my lunch today, since I'm starving. I'll forget about lunch detention. But, you sure as hell better be there after school. I am a teacher here, remember that."
"Yeah, yeah," said Cassie rolling her eyes, "I'll be there. We can call it family reunion time!" Throwing up a peace sign at her brother she called out as she ran down the hall towards the lunchroom, "See you later, Alex!"
Watching her leave, Alexander muttered under his breath, "Any sympathy I feel for her is slowly draining every time I run into her... Mom and Dad raised a monster." Frowning he added in thought to himself, or her time on the run turned her into the little monster that she is... After all time on the run usually changes any mutant, and rarely for the better personality wise.

After getting Jac's forewarning Catherine immediately changed her strategy. Originally she was going to rush in without using her power but due to the time constraint she'd have to. It was her only option in order to pull this off, that and there would be fewer finger prints left behind. She nodded letting Jac know she could turn off the power.
The power was off and Catherine saw her cue. She let herself fall in the darkness. It seemed when she was trying to be sneaky she was more in control of how she landed. In the dark her eyes glow. It was enough for her to see almost as good as light itself. She finds the file cabinet and found it was locked. Quickly she looked and found the keys on top. She saw numbers on them she looked the filing cabinet and saw the number 3. She used the matching key and unlocked it. She finds Carmichael's folder, she quickly locks it returning the keys to where they were.
With the file in hand she shadow travels to the girls bathroom near Jac. Looking at Carmichael's folder she smiled and calls Jac on her cell. "Hi Jac I got it" she heads back out of the bathroom heading toward the janitor's closet.

“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so... ...absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.”  Roxie heard a few screams from around the room when the lights went out. Then she felt something warm and gooey on the side of her face. Mashed Potatoes, the food fight had begun. Roxie laughed and wiped her finger across it, and licked it. The light came back on and she could see the chaos that had already unfolded in the momentary loss of power. With her hand she gathered a handful of her own mashed potatoes and chucked it at a guy that had his head thrown back in laughter. "Take that George!" She yelled laughing as the mashed potatoes hit its target. She dodged another potato bomb aimed at her and started throwing some of her other food at her attackers. The war had begun, and she was going to enjoy it.

Kerana  Meanwhile at the sign that says "Welcome to Bayville" a little red fox with green eyes and a map in her mouth looks up to the sign. She places her front paws on the sign to get a better look at what it said. As soon as she figured out what it said she wags her tail with excitement and let out a yip letting her tongue hang for a moment, dropping the map in the process. She quickly paws the map and looks at it. It's kind of weird to watch a fox study a map but she had to make sure she was going the right way. When she was done she fold the map again and continued down the road running a little.
I'm almost there! I'm almost there! her thoughts rang out as she picked up the pace. I'll see you again soon mom and dad! I'll save you once I get some help. she was heading to the city. A long way from Colorado.
A short while later the little fox was walking by a high school and could hear a lot of excitement coming from with in. She also smelt food in the air then heard the sound of her stomach rumbling. She dropped the map on the ground. I could get back to it after a get a nibble to eat. At that moment she saw mash potatoes fly out of the window. A food fight! Perfect! I can sneak in with all the chaos and pick up something that landed on the floor or something and no one would know... She tries to climb in through the window but it was out of reach. She saw a ledge next to the set of windows and scrambled up and in with not the most gracious landing. Her tail and hind legs were in the air, while her chin and fore arms were on the ground. She straighten herself out a little and watched food fight for a moment. Her nose followed a scent, there was a pile of chicken fingers which she went for and started to nibble on. The fox caught the eye of Frank. "Hey everyone! Get the fox!"
The fox's ears slopped down and her tail went down as well. She grabbed one of the chicken fingers and ran. Mash potato grenades landed near the fox and she barely dodged them. Lettuce landed on her head. She ran and hid behind the girl called Roxie.((EDITED))
