"I see...if anything we always have the base as a safe haven," Blade pointed out. "Considering that the base is hidden so well within a forest, should ever the need arise, we at least have a safe place," Blade said as he rubbed his chin, which was followed by the adjustment of his glasses.

Jade nodded her head once more, glancing around the area. It seemed Aeden was still off chasing Chihiro, who disappeared to god knows where. "Aye, I've kept that in mind. I just needed...sometime off." Her mind briefly wandered to the events that had transpired since she was last working as an Akatsuki member. "Quick question...has anyone yet to surpasss Genin rank?" It had baffled her that such young and low ranked children wished to do something that required years of skill and practice, but she admired them for their...tenacity.

"I would say that I'm as strong as a mid leveled ranked chuunin," Blade told her simply. "I've attained new levels of strength during my training in the Rock Country. And I'm still becoming stronger and stronger," he told her as he crossed his arms. "I have become more attuned with my insects, their commands being carried out as if it was second nature. My genjutsu has been proven to be quite effective, and my defense is quite solid," Blade told her. "Of course I don't hold a candle to you Lady Jade, but at least I'm getting there."

Jade laughed a bit at his compliment, but accepted it nontheless. "Aya! You kids give me too much credit! I'm getting old anyway, the next generation will take over and become even more powerful!" She gave him a congratulatory pat on the shoulder before continuing. "Genjutsu eh? Mind showing be a bit? Despite my level, I have barely delved into that category of jutsu, I think it's time to make amends with my past." The prospect of growing old scared the hell out of Jade. One day, she'd be an old and wrinkly hag yelling putting in requests that genin find her cat Snuffles. She caught herself mid thought, knowing damn well that was least likely to happen. Being in the Ninja business didn't exactly ensure a long life. Nor would she have a simple cat. Mr. Fluffles back in Iwa was more her style.

Before she could get in a word he tossed her the bottle of sake he'd lifted off of Neil. "Oh man you missed out teach! I had a blast at-" Chihiro stopped midsentence when he noticed Blade standing nearby. He quickly glanced between the two several times and then pointed a stabbing finger at Jade. "I knew it! l Jade Uchiha ll Uchiha Clan - Akatsuki- The Goddess of Flash l Jade's head turned at Chihiro, and she had somewhat of an odd expression. It wasn't emotionless, but something more along the lines of this:  That was just before she burst into a shouting spree, all while pouncing on Chihiro and shaking him around like a rag doll. "Aya! What is wrong with you! You steal Aeden's scythe! Leave without a word as to where! I was worried! You could've died! Who knows what type of crazies there are out there!" This continued on a bit as she continued shaking him around. "AND YOU STOLE MY SAKE!" Then it struck her, his words. She immediately stopped shaking him. "Ano...A few things first. I would never cheat on Aeden, ever. My colleague is way to young anyway. And he is my colleague, I do not date members of my...league." Ah crap, she probably had some 'splainin' to do.

”Sometimes you lose a battle…” Chihiro's body was lifeless as Jade shook him around, his head bobbing back and forth. When she was done the light seemed to disappear from the boy's eyes and a line of drool dribbled out the side of his mouth. He suddenly shot back to life though when she mentioned her "league". "Your....league?" he wiped his face and glanced at the guy she was with again before glancing back to Jade. She had mentioned before that there were things she was keeping secret. Was this one of them? "What exactly aren't you telling me Jade?" ”But mischief always wins the war…”

Jade turned to Blade, and gestured to Chihiro. "This is one of the two candidates I was speaking about." She turned to Chihiro, and had a dead serious expression on her face. "Chihiro. In sometime, I will make you an offer you can't refuse. There is someone I must speak with first though." She paused once more, realizing something. "If you're here...then where is Aeden-kun?" She hadn't referred to him as that for quite sometime.

”Sometimes you lose a battle…” "Huh? An offer?" Chihiro asked aloud, wondering to himself what it was Jade was beating around the bush about. The more he asked about it the more mysterious it became. "Aeden was still in the the Mist Hospital last time I saw him, threatening this really cute and smooth medic to give him back his scythe." Approaching the subject made Chihiro flash back to the kiss he gave Tsuki and he immediately blushed. "S-She gave it back of course, but I haven't seen him since." he quickly finished, hoping that Jade wouldn't notice the new shade of red his cheeks were turning. ”But mischief always wins the war…”

Jade raised an eyebrow at Chihiro, totally picking up on the blush. "Oh, really now. I sincerely hope you didn't hurt her or get her into any trouble." Jade's expression was enough to make a lion crap itself. She had a smile on, as if she was proud of him. Though her calmness, the fox-like appearance of her eyes offset any happiness that may have radiated from her body, giving off a very scary, very hateful aura. "There are two things I hate in this world Chihiro. Sake droughts, and men who hurt women." Jade's smile only seemed to widen; she had yet to get back at him for the 'Tan-Tits' comment.

"Dully noted," Blade stated in regards to Jade's comment as he flipped his hat within his hand and placed it on his head right before he adjusted his sunglasses. Behind the sunglasses, he eyed the boy very carefully. He didn't see much at the moment, but if Lady Jade saw potential, then it was undoubtedly there. Obviously this boy had to possess some special and valuable skills. "So this is one of the candidates? You can call me...Blade," he introduced himself, not giving his last name out of pure habit.

Jade's scary face slowly dissipated after Chihiro spoke. "Good, because then I'd have to drag you back and hold you down as they torture you. Anyway." She almost laughed at Chihiro's statement regarding Blade's lack of subtlety. In their line of duty, there was no need for such things. She'd need to begin teaching him more, but there was something just out of her grasp, and she could feel it. Something wasn't the same with the sharingan, not since she defeated Aeden in battle. It felt like it was holding her back, not allowing itself to reach its full potential. Jade knew she was close, oh-so close.
