Alfred---Lady Neon---Ice---Archer

Thrown off from the random Bulbasaur attack the Flygon fell over to his side and Neon managed to successfully yank the bag out from under it.
Shaking her fur out in dismay she dragged it back over to Tolin and with a sweep of her Psychic cleared the center of the room to make space.
Without another word she flipped the bag open with a paw and pulled out candle after candle to place in a circle.
That done, the Espeon lowered her tails to the ground and the golden one began to give off a light glow as she dragged it along behind her to trot around the room.
It left lines of golden paint in her wake until she had all but reconstructed the same circle she had in her tent.
A Will-O-Wisp lit the candles and another well placed Psychic turned the lights off one by one until only the candles gave the room any light.
"Alright~ Let's get this show on the road."
The Espeon selected a section between two of the candles to settle down in, eyes closing as her forehead gem began to burn bright white.
As before, the flames reached upward, barely touching the domed roof above and spiraling back down to obscure the center of the circle from view.
It lasted longer, perhaps fifteen minutes longer than her first drawing out and as the flames dimmed a gruff voice quickly filled the silent room with noise.
"What...WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
The candles went out with a woosh, smothered by another Psychic presence and Neon gave a sharp cry of alarm and stood to her feet to run only to find herself plucked up into the air by the scruff.
"You'd...you'd better have a good reason for what you've just done..." The Mewtwo hissed, standing outside the circle to reveal that the Espeon's plan had worked.
Perhaps too well.
Ice shrieked again at seeing the Espeon being suspended in the air. Neon curled into the 'cat being carried' position instinctly and gave a slight whine. She was not use to being treated this way!

Tolin & Serrin

Tolin watched with an increasing sense of "this is a bad idea" as the ritual was started and completed. They would be lucky if Archer didn't kill someone. They would be lucky if he did something besides take a knife to his own throat and end his revival early. But, alas, it was too late for that. "Stop that, Archer. Are you going to kill someone in cold blood in front of your son?" The comment would enrage him, if anything. It would probably send him into a murderous rage, but hopefully the presence of the still-sleeping Gardevoir would prevent that. If Archer took any violent actions, it would wake him for sure. Waking Alfred meant having to deal with him. Hopefully the implications would hold his psychic for at least a moment.

Serrin merely watched the flames with a childlike fascination as they sprouted from the ground, dancing and writhing.

Alfred---Lady Neon---Ice---Archer

The Mewtwo's narrowed eyes moved from Tolin to the couch where Alfred was still [really, he must have been tired as hell] sleeping.
The frown on the legendaries face intensified and he tightened his hands on Neon's scruff enough to make the Espeon give a yowl of alarm before he dropped her unceremoniously onto the ground.
Neon wasted no time in fleeing away from him to hide behind Tolin's legs.
"...why have you done this? Is the balance not upset enough as it is?! My work here is done! I've no need to be back in the plain of the living! HOW DARE YOU!"
His voice was harsh, as full of venom as he could muster without raising it over a low hiss.
Beginning to rethink this idea, Neon turned her head to rasp a tongue over the bristled fur on her neck from where she'd been grabbed.
Perhaps she should have listened to her inward voice of reason after all.
Ice paced from across the room, lifting his head and ducking it down as he chattered on in a series on nonsensical noises.

Oh, good then. Alfred's presence would stop him from killing them all provided he didn't manage to forcibly teleport them all outside. "We have three months, Archer. I don't like this any more than you do, but I don't think we have time to waste. Bringing you back was a gamble, but it's a gamble that might end this earlier. If what the Elite told me is true, we likely won't have the full three months. We'll probably be dead before the balance is gone." Is the pendants made the bearer as powerful as Tolin predicted, then it was quite possible it's owner may simply choose to exterminate the city. Whether it's through a gathered army or simply such a flagrant abuse and manipulation of the power that he smites it all himself.

Serrin merely backed away from the fire, his face slowly shifting to something with more recognition. He kept his distance.

Archer allowed himself to appear somewhat shocked though the actual news of the worlds end did not seem to be why.
"You know of the Elite and they told you of the pendants and you're still alive?"
The Mewtwo tugged lightly at the scarf around his neck and frowned.
"The Elite were made to kill anyone who threatened the balance, perhaps they dont deem you a threat? Consider yourself lucky. If you're alive then you havent met their leader. He prefers to kill in advance of danger. If he thinks you might, your dead. You must have spoken to one of the younger members then."
He mulled his thoughts around out loud until Neon peered from around Tolin to cut in.
"The journal is gone. Orion destroyed it."
"Of course, I should have known. Arceus is weak, so he'll be thinking clearly now wont he. He was the leader before he lost his relic or so I'm told. Anyways, since you know of the pendants you know of the damage they'll cause in the wrong hands. Those blasted things should have been destroyed long ago, but Arceus chose to keep them for some reason. Deal with the problems. Darkrai, this Weavile and destroy the 17 relics. That should give Arceus a fighting chance in the least."
The Espeon's tails twitched and she stepped out entirely from behind the Scyther.
"Just a...fighting chance?"
"The balance is ruined. There is no way to repair it, but...perhaps...perhaps it can be restored to how it once was without altering the world. That might work, then again it's risky...the chances of it backfiring and furthering our decent into death is very high...but you brought me back, although it is thanks to Arceus being weakened...but if it werent there..."
"What are you talking about?"
Archer lowered his hand from his mouth, it was clear where Alfred had picked that habit up from, the Mewtwo narrowed his eyes at Tolin and then gave a slight smirk.
"Killing Arceus."

Tolin & Serrin

Tolin let out what would've been a ridiculous fit of laughter if not for the fact that he stifled it down to something a bit more quiet. A tear formed in his eyes as it settled down. "Well then! I did always tell my friends I'd be the last one alive. I suppose the only way to do that would be to outlive Arceus, wouldn't it?" He let on a mischievous smile that he so rarely used. "She's planning to kill me, though. The Elite, I mean. I just manipulated her into deciding to do it later. It wasn't very hard; she's quite arrogant." His smile faded slowly as he shifted into contemplation. The balance needed to exist, on some level. As long as there were competing forces. Could it be possible to have Creaus and Suecra simply counterbalance against one another? Or would they simply die along with their maker? Or, stripped of their creator, would their powers and influence simply fade? "What of the other two? Creaus and Suecra? If we remove the balance by killing Arceus, what happens to his other parts?"

Alfred---Lady Neon---Ice---Archer

"That's the thing. I say 'Kill Arceus' but in actuality we would be restoring him to how he was. In a sense the Arceus we know now would die, but...the Arceus who WAS before everything will return. In layman's terms...we are returning Suecra and Creaus back to him so that instead of three Gods we have one.
The problem is, Arceus will not allow that. Which is why we have to kill him first. The world wont end immediately, it will be a slow decay and may take a few days before ending entirely. We can have the Espeon here bring him back and then hit him with the Mirror of the Forgotten. If both Suecra and Creaus are inside it they will be injected back into him.
Arceus wont be please, though. He'll probably kill all of us within range, but...it would restore the balance entirely. At full power Arceus can maintain it alone."

It was then Archer chanced looking around at the old room he once dwelled in. His eyes fell on the hole in the wall and then flickered back to Tolin with a frown.
"...that is. If we can keep all the loose ends from getting in the way. I suggest you leave the Elite to me. This Weavile, on the other hand, is left to the guilds. Make sure they get rid of him. If he's around while we're trying to do anything he might intervene."
"And Darkrai?" Neon asked, red eyes wide. She was already skeptical over the prospect of killing a God, even if it was for the sake of the world.
"...I have a feeling Darkrai is behind many of the things going on. Take at the smaller problems and he'll probably reveal himself..."
It was silent for a moment until that odd Flygon began to screech loudly and resume his frantic circle running for no other reason than...he could.
Neon raised a paw to her face. She really should have gotten a Magikarp or something. Then again, Magikarp made for poor pack-mules.

Tolin nodded and went straight to business. They didn't have the time. "Alright then. I'll insure Nico is dealt with. Myself, if I have to. It would be safer in the long run for you to deal with the Elite regardless." Archer was stronger than he was. Archer was temporary. Archer's death cost them the least and his efforts could gain them the most. He mulled it over, for a moment. "Will you have time to deal with all 17 pendants? Lady Neon estimates your time at a week. There's nine of them left, with eight pendants scattered to the wind. One of them is probably in use."

And then there was Darkrai. And Alfred. But... with the reversed pendants, they could be enough. Not to mention he was dead for sure in three months with or without Suecra. Well, there was time. Perhaps the completed Arceus would have the benevolence to heal him, provided he didn't first kill them all. Well, that was for later.

Alfred---Lady Neon---Ice---Archer

A week or so? Archer frowned at that, but it did not seem to daunt him in the least.
"I can manage. Being legendary comes with its perks. You can sense other legendaries for starters...and legendary energy as well. Those relics reek of Arceus's power. They should be hard to find. As for the Elite...once this is all over they wont be needed. Killing them should not be a problem."
Granted he managed to catch them off guard. They did have Arceus power and unatural abilities. It would be unwise to outright challenge them.
Especially if HE was still their leader. The Mewtwo could only hope not. That Pokemon was utterly mad.
Finally addressing Tolin once more after his thoughts his face fell to a more, anguished expression.
"If it comes down to...in the end. If nothing can be done. There...there is a chance that with the death of Suecra or Creaus their power will return to Arceus and it...should be enough to buy you more time. If I'm still here then...I...I wont be able to. I could never bring myself to do it unless it was the Lopunny."
Now, her he wouldnt have a problem killing. Alfred was another story entirely.
"You're a good father. HORRIBLE leader, but...a good father." Neon remarked suddenly and then gave a slight laugh.
Archer did not share in her amusement. If anything she was annoying him.

Well, there was that. Killing Alfred did present the chance. Might also kill everyone but there was a chance. "I'm not concerned about leaving them alive. It's more the time you have left and their strength. But, so long as your confident..." He shrugged. "Just be careful. If you die with the pendants in hand we'll be worse off than we were before." Of course, Archer already knew this. The comment was more for clarification than anything.

He shook one scythe back and forth, as if waving a hand "no". "Killing Alfred is a last resort. If it had been a viable option to begin with I would have killed him when it first became apparent he hosted Suecra. We'll solve the issues to give Arceus a bit more time. Once that's gone we can retrieve the mirror and deal with the two gods. Call it arrogance, but I don't see it any other way. Not as long as the dead and the old keep fighting. Darkrai will be stopped. Arceus will be restored and Alfred will live to see his children's children."

Alfred---Lady Neon---Ice---Archer

The Mewtwo gave a slight smile. Well, all in all this wasnt so bad. He had confidence he could deal with the Elite. They were no more than children who had been given special toys that made them think they were better than everyone else.
He'd find them and slaughter them all easily. Speaking of...
"Didnt you say you spoke to one? Any idea where she went then?"
Killing one would draw out the others. He had wanted to find the untouched pendants first but...whatever worked.
"I think it'd be best to save her for last." Neon commented and Archer took it with a shrug. Fine. Whatever.
The Espeon's tail twitched. It would not look good if Sasha died before telling where she stashed the mirror.

Archer finally realized the Scyther's last comment.
"...children's children?"
"Oh by the way, you're a grandfather apparently~" Neon didnt seem to be picking up the 'dont tease him, this Mewtwo doesnt even like you' vibe.
The prophet Espeon was saved from his wrath by a slight groan across the room as Alfred stirred awake and before either could make a comment Archer had transformed into a Charmander. A smart tactic considering Alfred's dislike of fire. He wouldnt bother him in this form.
The Gardevoir lifted his head, clearly noting Neon's presence as well as Serrin and two other he didnt recongize, but he paid them no mind at first. Taking a moment to orient himself.
"Did you find it then?" He finally asked.

Tolin & Serrin

Tolin wasn't given the time to respond at length to Archer before Alfred had awoken. Well, there were ways to be subtle in giving answers. He simply shook his head at the question. "Not quite. The original was destroyed and there weren't any copies. But we're in luck, to an extent. This Charmander here is related to the original author tangentially. As a child, he managed to glance through a few notes that were left behind. I've been gleaning whatever I can from him, though I believe I've learned everything I can." It was believable enough. It would explain his temporary presence as well as any further visits if necessary. He certainly looked old enough. Archer's face probably couldn't contort into anything that wasn't a cold, stoic stare. He gave a brief nod to Archer, who stood in his Charmander form. "Thank you for your help. And please, take this with you." He turned back to the desk and took a blank sheet and began writing something out on it. "If you remember something else, you can contact me here. Just send a letter, or if time permits come yourself."

The letter itself detailed the entirety of his address. Guild of the sun, west wing, room number, location. It also held something in much smaller writing. He folded the paper multiple times in order to make it more difficult to read through Psychic. The creases, in large part, fell on the smaller words in order to obfuscate them. The address was written somewhat larger, and although folded would be easier to read.

Lucario. Avoid. Has mirror. Rebirth 3rd in command.

He turned back to face Alfred. "Are you feeling a bit better? We should see how your wife is doing with her research. Hopefully Lucinda has managed to discover something useful enough to let you take a break." He chuckled slightly. "You wouldn't want to miss your two eggs hatching, would you?" The statement was a bit crass. Maybe even a bit nasty. But, well, Archer deserved to know he had two grandkids.

Alfred---Lady Neon---Ice---Archer

Alfred frowned but said nothing. He had the faintest sensation that he was being decieved somehow, blatantly lied to like they thought he was some fool.
The Gardevoir, however, did not call Tolin out on it and didnt seem to care one way or another. His expression was blank.
Emotion Pokemon was his species general classification and Alfred had been quick to pick up on one particular Gardevoir skill and that was completely blocking his emotions. Right now he couldnt answer the Scyther.
He didnt feel better. He didnt feel anything. It was an oddly comforting numbness, but possibly unhealthy.
He didnt care.
"She'll come back when she's done with whatever she's doing. Perhaps I can actually get the full truth from someone for once." His voice portrayed nothing, no anger, no annoyance, no bitterness.
If anything the short rest had just made him more tired.
Neon raised a paw to her mouth and coughed lightly for attention.
"I think now would be a nice time for a break from all this insanity, dont you think? I'm sure the world can wait for one day while we all rest for a bit. I saw a kitchen on my way up here, do you mind? I can make some tea."
He reply was a barely noticeable shrug from the Gardevoir and the Espeon turned to pad out for the time being.

Archer's eyes had been steadily glaring at Tolin the entire time, the Scyther was quite lucky that he was needed later or he'd have been FRIED by now.
He'd have to get in line apparently, Sasha had first dibs.
He should have left the second he was handed the paper, but instead he held it between both little Charmander claws and tried to keep the concern off his face from Alfred's lack of interest.

Hahaha! Archer was going to kill him later. He had expected as much, but the context of the story was more important than the story itself. Coming up with a fake story and apologizing to Alfred later with the full context was a lot easier than telling him in front of Archer that, "Sorry. I can't tell you anything." Alfred was sharp enough to pick out a lie. He had intended to tell him as much as he could from the start. Nothing about the Elite if he could avoid it... though he doubted that highly. The lie was more for Archer's sake. The unbearable subtleties of the present company and social convention would help the conversation. Alfred wasn't likely to demand answers with present company, and once Archer left he could speak more freely. He had a feeling that if he said anything with Archer present, he might start finding it hard to breathe.

He merely shrugged off the hidden accusation. "Only when I don't see another option, Alfred." It was a quiet statement. It did not dismiss or confirm anything. It was all he could say in return to the voice that rang with an alarming coldness. Normally, at the very least, Alfred spoke in frustration. It was unnatural to hear him with such a blank voice.

Serrin opted to leave the uncomfortable atmosphere in favour of following Lady Neon to the kitchen. "I'll come with you." He knew a great bit about making tea. It was a knowledge so deeply ingrained in his being that it was instinctual.

Alfred---Lady Neon---Ice---Archer

The Gardevoir continued his impression of a statue as Neon skipped out.
Once in the hall the Espeon directed her attention to Serrin with a mischievous smile.
"It may be best if you make the tea. I am prone to experimenting and chances are it may come to life and try to kill us all. I'm better at baking~"
And really, did they need more problems? Tea of DEATH did not sound all that delicious anyways.
Cookies were far easier for her.

The transformed Mewtwo swished his flame tail angrily, sending it dangerously close to the Scyther's leg since he was still standing right next to the bug. He quickly switched over to telepathy as Alfred would recognize his voice without question.
'You. You better hope Arceus kills you before I do. I'm going now. Dont you dare tell him of the Elite. They may ignore you, old Scyther who is not threatening in the least, but the chances they'll ignore Alfred are slim. Let me go ahead and tell you, the Elite are extreme Arceists. They do not accept Suecra or Creause and the idea that killing their hosts will end the world has never occured to those fools. They think Arceus can do everything on his own and needing assitance to maintain the balance is an insult to their God...watch yourself.'
The Charmander turned, paper between his claws still and walked out with a slight wobble.
'Damned short legs!'

Alfred watched, his Psychic following the fire type out the door and he sighed.
"Do I even want to know who that Charmander really is?" Possibly some other Pokemon planning to kill them all? Maybe there were four gods instead of three, ooh that'd suck.
"And what's with the candles..." Though this was not exactly phrased as a question per say, it was more like a slight observation to show he'd noticed the odd paint on the floor and pure white candles littered about.
Finally some emotion returned to the Gardevoir's tone as he pointed.
"And-and what is THAT?" He was referring to Ice, who was in the process of trying to swallow a lamp whole.
The Flygon chocked, gagging the piece of furniture down and then finally realized it was not as tasy as he'd thought and spit it back up, complete with a mix of slimey goo that was probably its saliva.
