"Stuck?" Instantly she sat up as her attention had been restored and intrigued....it took only a moment of two to clue in that indeed he couldn't get back to his place easily. Even then being confined there alone wasn't the best of positions too since he would need to get food and water and such every so often. Dwelling on this for a few moments she felt a small grimace slide over her face....she was aware that the new additional rooms were far from done; and with them being at full capacity the guest rooms had become well....rooms.

"Well, luckily only two people seem to come in and out during the summer, Briareos and Kay. I think Kay's gone or something....and Briareos only comes back to use the phone or gather more tools." Nariko pondered, tapping her chin out of habit. "I suppose it would be best if you took my room and I just stayed in my mother's." It seemed the most logical, aside from someone on the floor.

There was a moment where all was silent. A big clue to Dutch that something was amidst. As sure as rain, when he looked over he saw a sly grimace creep over Nariko's face. Oh God ..what the hell did I say now? he thought to himself, half expecting a fight to just suddenly erupt. But she soon began talking.

"Your room? No...I couldn't do that. I'll do fine with a couch...or a mattress on a floor..." he frowned. He didn't want to impose at all...especially with their relationship being...well...a big mystery. He wasn't sure if he could take that kiss as a moment of seriousness, a moment to prove something, or even if there were any future thoughts behind it. It would be far to awkward for him to stay in her room

Scratching her head, she tried to think of any other way, yet none was coming to mind. If she lived on her own she wouldn't have made a fuss, but since she just had one room in the house it wasn't as easy. "I wish I could let you, Dutch....but we just used the last mattresses we had to house two other foxes." She didn't really know either of them so she wasn't sure on how often they returned. "Briareos uses the den to do his work which also has the only couch until the new addition is added....which is what he's blueprinting since coming back with the tools..." Chuckling, she leaned back before standing to her feet and turning to face him.

"Don't worry about it, I slept in my mother's room till I out grew her bed since we were short on space. Its nothing new for me to be in there, but the only thing that's in mine are books and the futon bed. Unless you really want to sleep on her room?" She mused, knowing there would be no way in hell he'd take that offer since her mother's room was well, as girly as it could come with being oriental. "Besides I know for a fact they're not coming home anytime soon. So come on, i'll show you around." She motioned with a paw to come, looking to the house with purpose.

"Unless, of course...you're implying you don't want to sleep alone..." She teased, smirking.

Listening to everything she had to say, he couldn't help but let his hopes sink. He really didn't want to take someone's room regardless if they had another place to sleep or not. "I really don't want to take your room....It's nothing against you, but I just feel it would be to much to agree to." he sighed. Unfortunately he had no other choices to fall back on. At least none that were evident at the time.

"If I could make it to the police station, I would go there..but.." he groaned as he ran his fingers through his hair. It was a difficult decision to make. Stay here and feel uncomfortable, or walk 3 some miles and possibly injure himself further

Rolling her eyes the vixen began to pace, since she really wasn't fond of near carrying the male miles to this police station....it was only logical for her that he stay here. Not to mention that she had to take it easy on her back as well and carrying ODST's with armor was a big no no to that. "Well...." She thought, but looked troubled and ditched that idea. "How about....no, that's no good."

Dammit, why did he have to be so confrontational over a room...not like she slept in there anyways unless it was when she was visiting. "Okay...how about this. I pull my mother's futon into my room and we both stay in there, that way you're not 'taking' my room....and a futon is a futon and there is no difference between them." She used her paws to quote, obvious she thought it was a little silly....but then again she had no real attachment to items unless they were her armor or accessories from her mother.

"Or would you really like me to help you to the police station and then come all the way back?"

He wasn't the least bit surprised that she had started pacing. He would have done so as well, were it not for obvious limitations. She had apparently several ideas that he was all ears for...until she dismissed them. Then she came up with another idea.

"Hmm..." he pondered rubbing his chin. He didn't like the idea still, but it was better than her last one. Even with her suggesting her carrying him back seemed like a poor decision...He knew better than that, and considering her choice of words, she did to ad obviously would find it more convenient where she to just leave him here.

"I seem to not have much of a choice" he sighed finally. "I guess the futon will have to do"

"Good...because i'm all out of options here." Nariko confessed, scratching her head with a halfhearted grin. "Besides, you're not light there Dutch, its like you damn well got some brick implants." Jokingly she chuckled, holding out her paw to help him up if he needed it.

"Come now, i'll show you the basics since I guess we're room mates for the time being while you heal." Nariko wasn't really sure how she felt about the notion, on one paw it meant she got to spend more time with him.....but it meant she had to spend more time with him. She wasn't sure if this kindly attitude they had going would stay, or get ruined or what.

Not to mention how her heart fluttered a little when he was near, and whenever the events of the day were brought back to her mind. "Only thing I can think of which is important...is don't go into the greenhouse. Not even to look, we have a cranky a** demon who loathes anything un-natural. Plus my father kind of pissed him off and he holds a major grudge to an kind of military personnel." Laughing curtly and trailing with a sigh, she knew she'd be targeted too if she hadn't helped when his mate was giving birth to the kids.....so she was on the 'avoid and tolerate' list.

He turned the paw away and easily stood up, quickly grabbing a hold of the walking stick which was now kind of a friend. Had he a crutch, things would be easier and he could very well make it back to the station, but this would have to do. He wobbled over to his helmet and took a hold of it, feeling the comforting tingle in his hand that spread through his body and just made him feel absolutely stellar.

"Basics of what?" he responded as he turned around and headed towards the door of the house. What was he supposed to know? Was he supposed to take his boots off as soon as he got in, then quickly pray to some goddess before continuing? As outlandish as it sounded, he wouldn't be surprised...then she went on about a demon. He didn't have interest in going to a greenhouse to begin with, but now he wanted to..just to piss the thing off. "Hehe...then you tell him to avoid me...I may be injured, but I'll fight to my last breath" he mused. It was true..all ODSTs do..and no demon who was pissed at nature was going to stop him. He almost wanted to challenge this guy...but refrained from the brash thinking to wait for Nariko's further instruction

Well, there went that good mood. Shaking her head not at his insistence to do things on his own, but what he had to say after. "Yeah well as much as I would like to see him get an a** kicking, I have to think of repercussions for the rest of this household and i'll be damned if you wreak that. So you both should just avoid or i'll clobber you myself." The vixen huffed, "He isn't here, so it wont be hard."

"Just where the necessities are, I don't imagine you being a snoop so there's no real point to show you much else; since you're free to come and go as far as you can go." Striding past up the porch and into the door, she kicked her boots off at the front and headed inside; waiting for a moment for him to catch up and moved down the hall to a reddy brown door. Opening it up the layout of the room was simple, yet on the ground lay tatami mats and one long and low shelf which held books. Otherwise the room was barren aside from the closets.

"This is it." She waved a paw once he reached the door and headed to the closet where she picked up the neatly folded futon mattress and laid it on the floor. Taking out the pillow and blanket she set them on the mattress and shut the closet. "Be right back..." Nariko slipped back out the door, heading to the next room and stealing the bed from her mother's closet and hauling what she needed back, setting it down a bit away from Dutch's for what room allowed. "Bathroom is across the hall, kitchen was just through the swinging door by the outside door."

He sighed at the prospect of being denied a fight but figured it probably for the better. "Very well then" he replied stoically. He really couldn't add much to that, but as she went up the stairs with ease and took her boots off at the door, he felt a "You've gotta be kidding me" slide into his mind as he clambered up the steps and struggled to get his boots off as well, figuring he might as well follow suit.

He tried to follow her fast pace down the hall, but by the time he made it, she was already showing the room and working to get the small empty space into a place suitable for him to sleep.

As she pointed out the bathroom and kitchen he felt the need to go investigate, and so he did. He peered into the bathroom. Nothing new...the only problems he foresaw with the room was getting around in it with as big as he was and with as much hobbiling he was likely to do, but he made no mention of it and turned to investigate the kitchen, finding it too was nothing out of the ordinary, so he head back to what he assumed was Nariko's room

Once she was finally finished setting the two bed up, the vixen took a moment or two to put her armor which she'd thrown into the room back into the closet neatly. She wasn't sure if Dutch would want his armor off or not, so she left room in the closet just in case while he was out exploring.

Taking the futon farthest from the door seeing as the space wasn't huge for her standards, she knew that it would be even smaller for the two of them. Sitting down on the bed she turned her head as he returned, offering a small smile. "You can take that one, so you don't have to worry about twisting around here." She stated and motioned her paw to the futon infront of the door, easiest to access. "There is a lake out back, the door at the other end of the hall will take you back out there...its quite nice if you like." Nariko hadn't ever played host before, so she wasn't quite sure what she should be doing. Unfortunately Dutch wasn't the easiest person to read as she looked to the side and out the window.

"If you need...assistance with your armor, I left some room in the closet, or I can clear some books if you'd rather have it on the shelf...just let me know."

As he returned, he was directed to the futon almost as soon as he had run into it and practically fell face first into the cushioning. "I can see that" he said as he had just stopped short of tripping over the side. He wasn't going to protest how close it was to the door, but he was already thinking of how man times he would smack into it. Again, he said nothing.

"A lake?" he echoed as he leaned back to peer out in the hall to see where she had gestured. Like I want to go near water after all that he thought to himself as he returned to his normal stance and making his way over to the side of the futon and sitting down, setting the walking stick next to him and unlatching his chest and back armor...letting a sigh of relief out when he felt it leave his body. He just loved that feeling of suddenly being fifty pounds lighter

Nariko put a paw to her mouth to stifle the chuckles which managed to rise as he nearly tripped, she shook her head and slowly laid down on her side to mind her back. "It takes some kind of talent to trip on a floor futon..." The vixen teased and flicked her tail behind her, watching otherwise quietly as he removed his armor to his body's relief.

"Yeah....its not very deep, but its wide enough and has a spring which runs in from the mountains. Its nice to sit at and soak one's feet." She did share some of the weary sentiment about not being fond of the water, but at least she knew this one was safe from giant monsters.

Laying her head on her pillow she let out a small yawn, realizing that there had been a reason she never enjoyed sleeping here too much since she always got so comfortably drowsy when she was in a bed. "Mnnn....any ideas on what we're going to do? I've never been good at just sitting around..."

Stripping away at the rest of his armor and piling it next to the bed near by, he soon flopped back feeling completely relieved by how much a difference the lack of the standard issue armor made. Already he felt his spirits lift a little bit and even his body stopped aching for a while. Even when she spoke he half ignored it, not that she would be surprised by this. Most of what she had to say were either comments or teasing. None of which he felt a need to respond to.

It wasn't until she asked what he wanted to do that he let out an inaudible sigh and turned his body to where it was all on the bed and to where he could easily tilt his head to one side to look at her. "What do you want to do?" he said finally after finding the proper reply

Some help... Nariko thought in a mild distaste, hating to think of things much as she was starting to realize he did too. It wasn't like they were fit to do anything active, or else she would have done to catch up on her training....but that just wasn't possible. Turning her head to look at the ceiling, she was aware the daylight hours would be running short soon....which meant whatever they were to do would need to be now or in the dark.

"Not sure....can't really do anything I'd like to." She hummed out, biting a lip before looking his way. "You feeling hungry or still sick from earlier?" Nariko supposed it would be a good idea to have some dinner before sleep was in order; since she was sure she wouldn't feel up to making much the next morning when she'd be starving. "Or I guess sleep could be nice, I know my legs are pretty sore."
