The Capital

Dark smirked as the wounds healed themselves, if Daton had found this girl years before, he doubted him or the other Generals would have had that cursed spell. Sitting back a bit, he looked towards the sky. Its dark clouds encasing the Kingdom like a bad omen. “I just got back, should I train I would have to wait for one of the other Generals to return, otherwise Lord Daton would be upset with me on the case that I kill his soldiers.” Dark spoke rather calmly, of course he could read her thoughts, it wasn’t a real power. This was something he was born with.

Like all the Generals they had their own natural ability, Hokyo’s ability to conquer any enemy by reading their battle plans, his own ability to read minds, Blakes….well he wasn’t sure what her power was to begin with. He wasn’t fond of that person; she was also too engulfed by blood lust. “Have you heard any news of Rebel movement? I feel restless sitting here; maybe I should request Lord Daton to throw a party, a good way to see new faces in the Kingdom. If I’m not mistaken we need a few more new thirds under me, those that went with me to subdue the small farm villages were completely useless, one man even had coward in his tent.” Dark was disgusted; besides the Five he could not seem to find any good members to be in his forces.

The chain of command was very odd. There was Lord Daton, and then he had the five pillars which were the true Generals he trusted and some of the few that he spoke to often. Under them were a minimum of two to three sub-Generals which then controlled parts of the main force. Though with Dark when he went out with his sub- Generals they often didn’t come back alive.

Mayumim watched Dark, it made her uncomfortable- the way he seemed to read her like a book. She shifted from one foot to another. A party? Daton rarely chose her for those, even though he knew she wouldn't get killed, nor would she show weakness. She had understood why he hadn't let her go to the ones near her house, but she was older, no longer a mere teenager looking for trouble. She followed directions on a mission, and never screwed up.

"No, I haven't heard. As you know I was in the woods... and I didn't see or hear anything there either.Of course I sound like a kindergardener, begging the teacher to pick them to read to the class, but perhaps you could choose me? I rarely get to do anything, Daton doesn't favor me, I'm not sure why." When he had first taken her from her home, he had been delighted with her abilities. He set her up against one of his weaker soldiers, who had sliced his dagger through her stomach. The wound healed instantly and there went an arrow through the man's heart, Fortunately, Daton didn't favor the man, but told her not to kill anymore of his men, unless they were traitors and scum.

But ever since, Daton had let her be, let the guards roam around, like lazy brutes. She had gotten stronger, but had grown bored and frustrated. She could roam, go anywhere she pleased, but never wanted to go to far, hoping there would be some sort of commotion back at the castle. maybe even some red rebels, as long as it meant combat against more then a tree or a brute, she was happy with it.

The Capital

Dark hummed at her for a moment, a woman as his under-sub. Of course Lord Daton was not worried about her due to his frustration with Hokyo. “Very well, I will call a celebration for you entering into the ranks of my division. Though understand you will need to watch yourself at all times, with such power would cause unrest with those that want power.” He spoke rather calmly, his hands spread out of the stones of the steps.

Nearly two years and Lord Daton had been so busy attempting to track down Hokyo, he had nearly forgotten all else that involved the kingdom. Sighing he couldn’t help but feel relax with one matter at hand taken care of. Daton wouldn’t complain this was his gift as being a true General, they got to decide who if any was under them. He remembered when Hokyo first took post he only had ten men and yet he took control of a small city without losing any man.

Dark was fond of Hokyo, they had been like brothers in arms and so he felt that in some cases having him against him, left a opening against Lord Daton. “Do you know the story of the Princess that was killed for loving a sinned man? She loved the man so much that she gave up her own life, and in a fit of rage the man brought down the entire Angelic race, spilling their blood into the Red Sea, that man later formed the Red Rebels, that is why they call themselves that, they’re history is that of blood, even Lord Daton was once part of them long before we were born.” Dark knew this tale, by his reading, when the Five were together he had often spent time reading, this part of history interested him because he often wondered if Lord Daton had been the man to kill the Angelic race, a race of people that sought power.

Mayumi was shocked, then happy, then serious. Dark was right, of course, she hardly needed the reminder- but of course that was nothing to even think about. Every reminder, every comment could be important. She listened to the story. "How..." Mayumi searched for the riht word. She was going to use interesting, but it didn't seem fit, nor honest. "Peculiar." She decided would be the most appropriate term. A sinned man? Well, those weren't exactly hard to find. Hard to fall in love with, yes. It was hard to fall in love with anyone. Mayumi shook her head. She got so distracted in her own thoughts.

" I realize you still have preperations, but is there an aproximate time we will leave?" She asked, studying Dark. He was... different. More serious and knowledgable then the other men around her. He seemed like he knew how to have fun. Mayumi wondered if he enjoyed his job; if he enjoyed being in combat like her. It didn't matter. He was one of the best, he must enjoy it, even though either way it really didn't matter. Fighting against him would be a thrill, but also a possible death wish. Probably depended on how much mercy he was willing to show. She had confidence, but she didn't have that big a head.

Bandi looked upon the table, and had his eyes set upon on one seat from the begining. In the middle of the table in the between the blade and the hilt, one seat was open.
The balance point where the vulnerable fingers are protected.
It was just what he would represent.
"I will be seated at the Cross Guard." He claimed.

He arrived at the seat and noticed that on the top of the seat, was a symbol of a green firefly was carved into it.

"Ah! The young lad chooses the seat of the Green Healer. He was a man who fought with great flames, but was known more widely for his ability to heal those who were wounded and sick. It is said, that when he treated the wounded, he would summon a swarm of green sparks that would settle upon the wound and mend it. Men said it looked as if he was surrounded by millions of fireflies, and along with his control over flames, he was represented by a symbol of a firefly." An elder of the council explained.

Bandi could not help but noticed the irony of inheriting a position of a man who wielded the power of fire.
"I will do my best not to taint his name."

Evan watched as the dark girl entered the temple.
He was half expecting her to slam him against the wall and tell him to stay away from her sister.
But then again she was much more cool headed than that. He really didn't give the girl enough credit.

When Ray asked for a word, Evan naturally led her to his private study.
It was a curious assortment of artifacts and documents of different nature, both evil and benign.
"What is it you wish to speak to me for?"

Red Rebels

Hokyo smiled when Bandi had taken his seat. With this the play he had thought out had begun to take shape. Plans that even those that sat at this table weren’t aware of, and as long as he could stay away from the General Dark he could keep it a secret. Humming he took another sip of wine, what a splendid play it would be indeed.

Glancing up he noted that a messenger had entered the tent, coming beside of Hokyo the man whispered something and left without another word. “Well we have decent news, the surrounding Lords have swore a truce with us at the moment, leaving us a open path to settling more and gather more men.” He spoke rising from his seat. “The man that you assigned to kill one of the Lords I want you to send him my way as soon as you can. Bandi it is a pleasure to have you, though I must attend to other business at hand.” Leaving the tent, his mind racing with thoughts of what he could do, he entered his own personal tent and was soon attacked by a small figure, the small person cried a little and whimpered as Hokyo regained his balance.

Wrapped around Hokyo’s waist was a small blonde haired girl, she looked no older then twelve and appeared as though she had been crying. “Brother your save! I was so worried those big men that got you.” She cried out in tears, and hugging him tighter. Hokyo only smiled softly, and wrapped his arms around the girls head making a comforting sound to her.

The Capital

Dark smiled a bit at the woman. “I will prepare for the celebration as later tonight, as some of the Generals prefer to only be out at night. Please be ready at least ten tonight, meet us inside of the main hall.” Dark said as though he considered what time everyone would be possible to come. He wanted to speak about Lord Daton about something as it was.

Standing he passed his hand gentle on the girls shoulder and walked to back up the stairs. “We will destroy anyone that stands before Lord Daton, soldier be prepared for even those you might be friends with.” Dark said as he entered inside of the castle. He walked along the dark shadows, carefully to avoid being seen even by the guards, they didn’t even know where Daton’s personal chamber was.

Mayumi frowned as her first conversation in some time walked away. "Friends?" She hardly knew the word's meaning. It could be rather trivial. Friends could be dependable, loving people to keep at your side for support. A wall to lean on when you are at your dark hour. But they could be fatal. A weakness you could not handle. They could be that wall for your darkest hour- that could crumble in a second.

Mayumi was so un-knowledgable. She found herself thinking about the celebration. What did Dark mean about that? a simple dinner, she supposed.Anything else would be indefinately too festive, and in Mayumi's eyes, rather unnessecary.

Ray entered the room and as soon as they were alone she turned to face the man. Her arms crossed her chest and she looked at the Priest “I can see your soul.” She stated softly “And I would much appreciate it if you didn’t taint my sister with your darkness. She is too pure for our kind.” Of course she was grouping them together. Ray was just as bad as he, or so she thought. She’d killed many more than her sister, done many things and loved doing them, but that was a side she hid from the woman. The last thing she needed was this man going out and showing his true colors to Yune. She lifted her hand and ran her fingers through her hair “I will tell her nothing, expose nothing, just because i know what you are, doesn’t mean anyone else has to know.”

She could feel his powers, or well one of them because it was like her own, she could see it around him, through him and damn it she was sure it was in his soul as well. But to show she wasn’t backing down a small fox like head poked out from the shadow her hair made upon her shoulder and red began to glow where it’s eyes should have been. “I find you interesting, but blood comes first in matters like these.” She paused and glanced towards the door. “now about that ex general you were speaking to… I hope you don’t have any attachments to him. I plan to kill him.”

Yunari grew tired of sitting and waiting for her sister. Slowly the blond stood. She knew that the barrier would be fine by itself now that it was in low energy mode. She would just have to make sure not to wander far, however she was curious. She cast a glance towards the temple and bowed her head in forgiveness before turning and making her exit. She wanted to see what was going on. Things had happened all while she protected this building. Now on the outside she could see. There was a change in the people, a change in the way everyone saw each other, she felt, peaceful. She walked silently, enjoying the soft breeze and the lighter air. It had been a long time sense she’d been able to do so.

A cry made it to her ears and she turned. Upon the ground sat a child, blood running down his leg as he cried. She smiled and moved to his side. She knelt down and placed one hand on the child’s head and the other over his skinned knee “child, sometimes we need to get hurt, if we are to understand what it was we did wrong.” Her powers lit up and the small scrape closed “If we learn from the mistakes we have made, then a brighter future can be found.” The child looked up at her and smiled a toothy grin. She could see a few teeth were missing but that was most likely due to time.

“You sound like my mommy.” The kid stated before standing, thanking her and running off. Yunari only laughed and turned towards the town. Esta felt different and it had only been a day.

“A mother huh?” She spoke softly to herself as she turned her attention to the sky “Not unless this world changes. Children are not suppose to be born just to fight.”

The Capital : Keilth

As always, the room was a frozen tundra. In one corner, three bodies were huddled together, though clearly dead. Due to the cold their bodies would not smell but that didn’t matter for there were dead bodies in her room. A thin layer of ice covered the ground, a cool breeze moved about the room as snow fell from the ceiling. There was little furniture in the room. But there was a single bed, covered in a heap of snow, and in that heap, a frail looking girl. When she was asleep many would think this child the angel of angels. She was a pale blond, her features porcelain with perfection. Her fingers were always carefully manicured but that was not because she took care of them, it was because no one could ever get close enough to touch her.

This, this was sub zero, nothing could live in this room, nothing had lived in this room and many times people died just by getting close to the door. But she hadn’t been yelled at. People stupid enough to come to her door had it coming. However today was different. A soft knock woke her from her peaceful slumber and she climbed out of bed. The door began to thaw and she pulled it open. Dressed in heavy clothing, thick furs allowing not even the slightest skin show. “The master wishes you train your soldiers today.” The man spoke softly and tried not to look the woman in the eye. He bowed and scurried off, thanking the gods that he had kept his life.

His prayers were too soon as once he was far enough away her eyes squinted and his body became just a smear of blood and body parts on the floor. She had caused his body to be to heavy, thus killing him under his own weight. A small smile came to her lips and she left the room. She would train them today…. If she didn’t kill them first. As always a woman waited at the very end of the hall “clean up the mess.” The woman nodded and ran down the hall to do as she was told.

Blake set out for the outside. However the halls were so winding and boring she wished to just make a hole, however she knew that would get her into trouble. So she walked, or well pretended to walk. Her feet never touched the ground, just hovered an inch above. The woman stopped in mid step and turned her gave towards one of the many shadows. “Good evening Dark” She figured by the way he was walking, oblivious to the guards that he was on his way to see Daton “do tell Daton while you are there that I am doing as he requested.” And she continued her walk.

"Ah yes, about that. There seems to be a little miscommunication about that." Evan said languidly and headed to a compartment in the wall, pulling out a clear glass goblet.
"People call me tainted and treat me as a heretic because I studied what people label as...dark arts... What they ignore is the fact that I studied just as much of the sacred scriptures as I have pegan." He explained as he poured pure water in the goblet.
"Thing about purity. It is so...unstable."
He proceeded to pull his feather pen from the bottle of ink. The felt was dripping with the dark liquid, like poison.
"Just one drop-" He tapped the pen, letting a drop fall into the water, and the goblet instantly swirled a dark indigo hue.
"-and it's irreversably compromised."
He then looked back at Ray.
"So is this water now ink? No. It's a concoction of both. But people only see the darkness."
He approached Ray.
"I did not study the dark arts for dark arts sake. My thirst is in the desire to study ALL that is known to man. But just like the myths of the man who coveted the fruit of knowledge, one cannot have knowledge of the world and espect to remain pure. There is too much darkness in the world for that."
He unbelted his sword and leaned it against the wall.
"And I have no desire to taint the pure. In fact, I admire innocense. It reminds me of what I once was. So do not think that I would spoil her purity with what is only my academic thirst."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 12, 2010 11:12 pm

For some reason, Ray felt better. Sure she was a bit out there too and she felt that she would be the one to taint her own sister but she wouldn’t simply because she had chosen this path, the one of the shadows while her sister chose the light. It was just who they were. None the less she relaxed, her hand lifted to pet the fox like creature upon her shoulder and it faded into black smoke. The Priest was not threatening, Now was he attacking. He had even unarmed himself. However she knew there was more to him. She had seen it, almost as if his should had left his body, though she did not know what it was or how it had been used to achieve his goal, only that she would have to be cautious of his abilities.

“ I desire to take what I want, when I want. To protect her light but I know those two will pass some day.” Her arms were folded across her chest as she leaned back against one of the many shelves in the room. She didn’t care all that much for idle chit chat, hell she didn’t care for this building. She was a creature of habit at best but this whole situation was new to her. ”what do you plan to do once you have learned everything?”

Evan could barely hide a smile.
"Dear lady. If I were to learn EVERYTHING, I'd be a god. Hmmm, but it is an interesting question.... I have never thought of a goal... you see, I am very much akin to an avid collector. I do not collect them for a purpose, but more out of the joy of gaining knowledge."
It was true. Just as the mind of others take the form of a library when Evan enters, Evan's own mind was very much like that. Only Evan's was huge. An expansive chamber with several stories of shelves linining a spiral chamber leading up. Most knowledge and memories took form of books and scrolls, but some of the more fond ones took shape of furniture.

"And if it would not be too rude, what is it YOU want? Are you searching something in the temple? Why would you set a barrier on this temple?"
PostPosted: Mon Jul 12, 2010 11:43 pm

Ray closed her eyes and let out a small sigh “ We protected this place for two reasons, one, you gained my interest and two, for Yune a place of worship, is and will always be a home.” That was the truth. While Yunari had never said anything she knew the girl wanted to make sure this palce was safe for future sinners. She was just like that, protecting the innocent and making paths for future generations. She unfolded her arms and turned. Her fingers ran over the spines of a few books “ I want the truth. I want the pain inside me to subside. I want my sister to find peace. I want the death of our father. I want… no I need to fill the hole in my chest.” Would this man understand that she was nothing without her sister, and in return Yune was nothing without her. They completed each other, even if they did hold their own strengths. But as much as she loves Yune, she wanted to be free.

She turned, the full force of her purple eyes on the man before her now ” I want to live.”

Evan smiled warmly. It was a rare occasion for him. But then again this girl was not like the other that only earn his ridicule.
"If I was any good of a priest, I would tell you to take solace in religion. But then again, I would guess that you wouldn't have taken that advice any way." He said.
