"More than a month, as I said before, I lost track of the date," Rayne sighed.
((Close enough, I think it's spelled infirmary, not sure though...))

"Oh." Jaxx contined walking in silence for a moment, aware that he was still holding Rayne's hand. "So what's your story? How'd you end up here in camp half-blood?" he asked. ((Ya I think you're right.))

"Nothing interesting really. It's one of the typical demigod story. I ran away from home to escape my own problems. But after coming to New York, I kind of accidently stumbled upon camp by mistake," Rayne said.

"Really? My mom told me about camp half-blood. When she died I came to New York looking for it. She'd never told me where it was though so it took me a long time to find it. I kinda stumbled upon it too. Seems like a lot of demigods end up finding it on their own." Jaxx said.

"It's never easy though, especially with monsters tailing you. I was a stowaway on several ships to get across the Atlantic and each one of them contained some sort of guest in store for me," Rayne conveyed.

"Across the Atlantic? Where did you live before?" Jaxx asked curiously.

"I'm from France," Rayne said. "But before my father died, I use to travel around a lot, never stayed in the same place for more than a few weeks."

"Wow. That must have been hard," Jaxx murmured sympathetically. He gave her hand a squeeze.

"Not really. Act innocent and the second they turn around, you knock 'em out. You can't really look conspicious carrying everyday objects around like a dictionary," Rayne laughed.

Jaxx joined in her laughter. It was quite infectious. "I'm sure you could do plenty of damage with a dictionary. And I've heard there's plenty of ways to kill with a spoon." He grinned at her.

"Guess it doesn't take weapons to kill," Rayne said.

"All it takes is your bare hands really," Jaxx shrugged. Then he frowned. "Why are we talking about killing anyways? That's not exactly a subject I usually discuss with beautiful girls." He smiled softly at Rayne. "Besides, I try to forget the past and live in the present. It's how I keep sane. All the past does is drag me down." Jaxx stared into the distance, silent as he thought for a moment, before he looked back at her. "Would you like to go to the music room? I could play my guitar for you if you'd like."

(( o.O I thought I posted already or maybe that was another guild... Sorry, my bad ))
Rayne sighed. "It drags me down too, but it just comes up often. I'm scarred mentally." She paused to think then smiled. "I would love to."

Emily trekked out into the fragrant fields, the warm sun kissing her skin. As she walked she trailed her fingers through the vines, letting the green tendrils twirl around her hands like getting hugs from long lost friends. She had a particular spot in mind, an open spot in the middle of the field, long flattened by the many demigods who found rest and comfort there. She settled down on the grassy ground, stretching her legs out far in front of her and looking down at the scars that would forever be a reminder of the fight that almost caused her death on her quest to find this safe haven she now called home. Without intending to she traced her long fingers down them, a wave of disgust coming over her as she felt the scar tissue that would forever remain there. Trying to get her mind away from unhappy memories, Emily closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath and enjoying the intoxicating perfume of the strawberries that surrounded her. Each one hung heavy and ripe from their vines, and when she opened her eyes she lazily reached over and plucked one from it's home. She popped it into her mouth, savoring the sweet flavor of the berry as it filled her mouth. She hadn't realized it until right then how much she missed these berries and this field. She had been so busy that she had lost sight of the beauty of this area. With a small smile on her face she picked up her sketch book, flipping open to a clean page and took up the charcoal, beginning to sketch out a vine.
