Bala'tan's life has left her with a hard, slightly bitter edge, but one she tries to hide. She would much rather forget the years she spent being discriminated against, and wants to start with a fresh slate and live a full life in her new pride. She sees her high status in the Mwezi as a sign - she was meant to follow the Moon, the true Great Lion, and was right to abandon the sun. Bala'tan is known to the pride as a dutiful lioness who is a bit shy, especially around males, and they find her piety moving. Cubs also make her nervous.

Personality Blurb: Isokisi is a hard cub to read, mainly because he doesn't talk. And never has. The smallest of the litter at birth, it took a long time for him to gain weight and was (most likely) the most worried about cub by his mother and the other females. Eventually he did, though, and was healthy enough to walk with his brothers and sister to be presented to the pride when the time came. The spoken words seemed to puzzle him, and when his siblings said their first words, Isokisi started making noises too. But he didn't speak.
All that came out were squeaks and chirps, and nothing like actual language. It's unknown by the pride whether the spirits took Isokisi's voice for some reason, whether there is something wrong with his throat, or if Isokisi just prefers not to talk, content with the cricket sounds he makes to get attention. Despite his usual silence, Isokisi is a playful and happy cub, willing to get dirty with his siblings and other playmates, eager to see his daddy when the time comes around, and in general racing around the pridal lands with a huge grin on his face as he finds something else to get into.
