karie came in and looked around, the school year wasn't going good for her. She had moved here only a week ago and already had three demons after her. She was looking through the books when something caught her eye. She found a few books " Wizardy: what and who you need to know, Demons VOLUME II the shadow monsters, and Angels: taking flight. i guess there is no use for this one yet. she said putting the book back.she could fly she just didn't have wings. she looked at the girl in the corner. Angels huh, interesting.did you start learning about them by sudden interest or are you part angel yourself she asked putting the demon book behind her back.

Haku-men sighed as he put back another book, "Geez. Where are all the good ones?" He grumbled more and more as he searched the shelves, but his eyes wandered around and locked with a girl sitting in the corner with and angel book. He chuckled when he heard another girl ask her if she just started learning about them, "You could never learn something like that from a book. Books are for tales not to learn about that. You need to experience the feel of meeting one in real life. Not from some little book."

Emily glanced up the girl that seemed to be talking to her, "Actually I'm part angel, I'm trying to find a section on half-breeds, but as it turns out they aren't really written about a lot" She glared over at the boy who had chuckled at the idea of learning from books. "So actually though I have never really met an angel, I consider myself fairly knowledgeable already." Mentally slapping herself for being rude... so much for angelic. She stood up to shake the girls hand, "Name's Emily, I'm new here. Just got sorted into Burnar." She pushed up her glasses, while hoping she didn't screw anything up (as usual).

Haku-men smirked, "experience outweighs knowledge. Without experience how will you ever get the knowledge of anything? Books always stretch the truth of everything, but since your part angel you shouldnt be looking in books at all." another half-breed. Just like his nephew. He rubbed his chin(mask) as he imagined Emily and him together.....which just made him chuckle even more.

Emily shook her head, "Experience does out weigh knowledge, within reason, but it's not like I'm going to test all my theories on myself, without prior knowledge. Plus since I am only half angel I need to read up to see things that I may or may not be able to do. A truly intelligent person knows that experience and knowledge must go hand in hand." She looked the guy up and down, "So what's your name?"

Haku-men rubbed his head at what Emily said, "Well well. Interesting." He went over what she said and nodded approvingly. He held his hand out to the girl, "My name is Haku-men. Nice to meet you Miss Emily." He tilted his head as he looked her up and down. Although she didnt look like a threat looks could be deceiving so his guard was up only a bit.

"Interesting eh?" Emily smirked and shook Haku-men's hand "Fine to meet you too, Haku-men." She checked him out, he didn't seem so bad. At least he's not an immediate threat, then again she'd been fooled before. Not to mention she hadn't done anything stupid in front of him (yet) she figured she might as well stick around. "So, how long have you gone here? I'm pretty new, myself. Just got sorted into Burnar."

Haku-men smiled under his mask and nodded, "Iv been going here for a while, but alot has changed so I feel kinda new myself. The only reason I came was to keep an eye on my nephew, but he doesnt need my help anymore so I decided to stay for good."

"Nephew huh? Well then if you're familiar with this place, what's there to do around here? I mainly only came straight to the book store, because wherever I am, books are always familiar for me." She glanced down at the book in her hand and held it against her chest. She really did love to read.

Haku-men shrugged, "Well theirs alot of things to do around here. You just gotta find something you like. If you like books so much why not see if you can work here? Not only will you be around books you'll get paid for it. If you dont want that im sure we can find something for you."

Emily looked around that book store, "I suppose I could work here, but I need to spend more time practicing." Emily sighed and adjusted her glasses. "I don't have the greatest control over my powers yet, I wasn't given a lot of chances to practice before my father sent me here. He was never very happy that his child ended up to be a half breed. I've only recently been able to get in touch with the part of me that's an angel."

Haku-men nodded and crossed his arms over his chest, "Not trained huh? Well how about this. I could train you if you want. My nephew is a half-breed and I taught him everything. Maybe both me and him could help you?" He was also thinking this could hep his nephew since he hasn't talked to people as of recently. He held out his hand, "What do you say?"

Emily bit her lip, thinking his offer over. On one hand, she really could use a trainer, but on the other hand could she trust him to know her powers? She'd start slow with him, but the allure of having an actual trainer was too good to ignore. "Look, I don't know you so well. So I'm not a hundred percent on whether or not I can trust you, but I like the idea of having a trainer. So, We'll start slow, but I would like to have you and your nephew help me train." She took a deep breathe, hoping that he could really help her. She would show him her Fire and Earth elemental abilities, but she wouldn't show him everything, just in case. "Just out of curiosity, what kind of half breed is your nephew?"

Haku-men nodded with approval, "I understand. I may not be an angel myself, but I do know a couple of things about them thanks to an old friend. My nephew? He's a half-demon. Now for a place to train and to call him. I'll take you to the forest in town so that way nobody can get hurt. Hold on." He gently took her hand and teleported them both to the Forest.
