Fenix looked on, amazed at her singing. She had quite the voice and a chill ran up his spine. Not a bad one, a good one of course. There was something about this girl that he admired. Here she was, infront of so many people, risking humiliation if she had messed something up, and that means she had guts. Fenix couldn't even paint something he thought was worth selling. He considered a few things before her song ended. The whole room looked on attentively, and when she was finished, they all stood from their seats and applauded. She got up, and Fenix stood by the steps to assist her down. As they were going back to their booth, he noticed Leon as he had entered the cafe, along with the two strange girls from earlier. For now though, he ignored them. "Wow, Caddy that was amazing. I don't think any of my paintings could reach the soul like your voice does." He praised her for a moment, and their drinks had just arrived. Fenix admired how nice his looked and how overly extravagant hers did. He gave it a sideways look and glanced back up at her. "Heart attack in a cup? But man, does that look good" He started laughing at his remark.

Leon made his way back to the gamestore he worked at, giving his two coworkers the food they requested as he got bombarded with questions as to why he was late, which he answered with shrugs and nods, before he headed into the back to test/play the used games. Even though he was focused on a game, his mind wandered into thoughts of the shift thanks to some monsters that kinda reminded him of fiends..

Are we a fantasy swimming in theocracy? We are far from holy. The wholeness of one, repeat after me. Tommy clapped as Caddy stepped down from the stage. The girl was very skilled. He sighed. Now he would have to go up there as well. He was an entertainer. He couldn't help it. Tommy picked up his laptop and a few cords. The boy drained his coffee and went up to the stage, "This is a vocal cover of the song The Sound of Silence originally by Simon and Garfunkel. I hope you don't mind that I use Atrocity's instrumental instead of Simon and Garfunkel's." he smiled. Tommy plugged the cords into his laptop and then into some speakers. The teen typed some things into his laptop and tapped the mouse pad. The music began and Tommy cleared his throat, "Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk with you again. Because a vision softly creeping, left its seeds while I was sleeping, and the vision that was planted in my brain still remains, within the sound of silence." he sang. Tommy's voice was smooth and light. He matched the pace of the music perfectly, providing a subtle beauty to the heaviness of the instruments, "In restless dreams I walked alone, narrow streets of cobblestone, 'neath the halo of a street lamp. I turned my collar to the cold and damp, when my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light, that split the night, and touched the sound of silence."
For a moment, Tommy thought he was with his band, playing a gig. He forgot where he was. Though this did not affect his performance, it did confuse him slightly when he finished the song and opened his eyes to find himself alone on stage. Tommy sighed, "Thank you." he smiled and unhooked his laptop. The teen left the stage and went back to his table. He returned to the internet, not bothering to look at anyone or discover how he had sounded or listen to any feedback. Fighting your empire, defending your vampires. Far away, we're going too far. Bombing your ignorance, defeating your insolence.

Two people had just sung, and still on the table Serrenedy screamed, clapped, stomped her feet, the whole enchelada. "OOOOHHHH-LET'S TRY" She giggled. Ignoring Sally's hgeady protests she picked the smaller girl up and placed her on the stage, vaulting up herself as Sally tried to escape. " WOAH, hello dudes and dudettes, my sister and I are gonna SING FOR YOU" Serrenedy screamed. Sally whimpedered as Serrenedy hopped around the stage. Stupid syrup. Sally thought to herself. She shoved her ipod in the speekers and started to sing along with it. Sally soon gave up and started to sing the english lyrics behind her, taking care to harmonize

Zachery checked his watch (yes, he sleeps with a watch on) and realized that he had to get going. He had things to do and a new energy projectile weapon to finalize, or more accurately, deem impossible to produce for no other reason than technology was not yet advanced enough to create such a weapon. Ah well, he thought to himself, it hardly matters. Billions of tax payers dollars go to waste on us anyways and all we've so far accomplished is a suit that bends infrared light around the wearer. He got up to head for the door when a third party hopped into the spotlight. It was the two girls who were posing before. He didn't mean to be rude, but he was busy so he tried to sneak out without being noticed, but that failed seeing as how there was a bell above the door. He sighed but continued going. Fun place, I'll have to come here more often, he muttered to himself. But as he thought about it he realized that everybody in the shop seemed to have not gotten enough sleep, probably just the regulars, loading on caffeen so they can stay up night and day, but then he realized that he had no way to get home, forcing him to walk back into the coffee shop and ding-a-ling-a-ling right in the middle of the two girs' song again. Sorry, he muttered quietly, and walked up to the counter. Mind if I use the phone? He asked the person working. He called his driver (being one armed, driving is nearly impossible) and found out he was a half hour away. Oh well, guess I'll just enjoy the music for a while.

"Heh, you people know how to have a great time", Orpheus announced while switching on his camera's recording function. He had almost been tempted to start singing as well, but he kept his cool, believing that if he did it would lose his allure. Taking another sip of his invigorating drink, Orpheus continued to film the shop in it's entirety, softly laughing as he did so.
His camera had started to beep, signaling that it's battery is nearly dead and is on the verge of shutting down. With an almost solemn look on his face, Orpheus turned it off and sat it on the table. His fun was over, but he was still being amused by the karaoke.

After thw two had finished thier song, Zachary smiled. He had time to kill, why should he just sit succluded from the group? He may be old enough to be the father of everybody else here, but he hardly cared. Maybe it was simply his yearning for the days of his youth that overtook him, but he took the stage next. "The man that hath no music in himself, Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, is fit for treasons, stratagems and spoils. William Shakespeare." And with that, he began his song, What a wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. He didn't pause to get reaction of his audience, not even once, because his mind was drifting back to a time when he and his friends had fought in the gulf war, he and six of his friends had sung that song to the rest of the barracks to keep moral up. A week later only two of those friends were left and he got shipped out due to a grenade having blown off his right arm. As he completed the song he realized he had tears in his eyes and was holding the place where his arm had once been. Sorry, he hastely apologized and went to sit down. He still had twenty five minutes and didn't really want to spend that time hogging the stage, after all there were still others to sing.

Caddy slipped back into the booth across from Fenix, thanking the waitress who brought over their drinks. Laughing at his comment, "Yeah, right? It's really good though, want a sip?" Did I just ask a guy I don't even know to take a sip of my drink? What am I doing? Why do I feel so comfortable around him? (Sorry that it took me nearly a week to respond, I've been working 10 hour days all week x.x)

Fenix felt so relaxed around Caddy, almost as if he knew her for longer than the short few hours. He decided to try being jokingly friendly. "Oh, I couldn't! Not unless you try mine, It's only courtesy that if I try yours, you should try mine" He gave a genuine smile. I only hope she's not a dreamer, please be normal.. The thought of this closeness with someone made him happy, but he was afraid that if she was a dreamer he might end up loosing his new friend easier than he thought.
((It's alright. Things are slowing down a bit for now so we can catch up much better))

After a little while the game he was testing took a turn for the worst..the character started moving around without his legs or head while a different one was stuck in a mid jump pose and floating after him.. amusing as it was Leon knew that someone used a cheat code in that game and now it was a bundle of glitches waiting to happen. Leon sighed and leaned back in his chair, it was one of the first times in awhile that he actually had plans with people in the Shift.. He knew he had to get the sugar-crazed one first, but he definitely had to meet with Fenix later to apologize.

((Not quite sure how to start this late in but i'll give it a go.))
Rellin had shot up in his sleep in a cold sweat. These thoughts and nightmares were getting horrible, all because of that damned voice that echoes in his head ever since that night. "Welcome to the shift. ." What in the world was the shift, and why did he have to experience it anytime he was trying to sleep. The first night wasn't the worst, because he atleast woke up quickly. But the past few nights everytime he entered the shift, he heard other voices and shrieks around him. Some sounded like creatures, some were human like voices. Yet he never went towards them, why would he? The doctor's tried makeing him think he was schizo, but now he's actually believeing them a bit. Either way, without any clue of how to stop this form happening, he'd eventually have to live with it. Or fight back, which means he'll be going back to the shift soon, and confronting those voices. .

Caddy Caddy giggled at Fenix's remark, and picked up two more straws, handing one to him. She pushed her drink towards him, and moved his towards her. Smiling, she stuck her straw in the opposite side of his and took a sip. "Mmm. I like yours"She watched as he did the same and waited for his reaction. Normally, ank kind of human interaction, on a personal level frightened Caddy. She never let anyone in, so what was she doing sitting at a coffee shop, with a randomm guy she ran into, drinking his Mint Swirl Mocha Latte? Caddy tried to rationalize it the best she could, trying to find out why she was going back to her old self. The self that had a bunch of friends, was always the person someone could go to if they had a problem, and mainly the person she wanted to be. After her first dream, things changed. Her thoughts were kept to herself, mainly because they were about the shift. But that version of her was long gone, or so she thought. Caddy's smile was still painted on her face, enjoying the time she spent with Fenix, and wishing he could never see past this facade. Never.

A half hour had passed and Zachary looked out the window of the coffee shop just in time to see a Mercedes pull up to the curb. The driver popped the trunk and pulled out a plastic arm and a buisness suit. He walked into the shop and smiled, Mr. Thompson, I took the liberty of bringing your suit and arm, again. You'll have to tell me of your latest dream, but that can be done on the way. Zachary smiled and walked back into the bathroom. There he attached the artificial limb and put on his suit. He scoffed at the tie, it was blue, and he was more in a red mood today, ah well, can't be helped. He reached into his front left pocket and felt his wallet. Good, he would need that if he wanted to get any coffee, which he did.He walked out and approached the counter, noticing his driver eyeing up the blueberry muffins. With a chuckle, he ordered himself a cappuccino with a twist of cinnamon, and a couple blueberry muffins. As he walked to the door he handed the driver the muffins, and sipped his cappuccino. The driver sighed and accepted the gift without question, after all, he knew that Zachary made more in a year than he would ever make in his entire lifetime. So then, about the dream... Oh, right. Of course, as usual, I woke up in my bedroom, everything torn up, you know that part so we'll skip it. Anyways, I did run into some fiends, you remember those dog things I explained earlier? Right. there was a pack of four of them, not much of an issue, so I shot three of them and loaded my weapon to take out the fourth. But then something rather strange happened. The fiend just took off as if afraid, which is really strange behaviour for one of those things. Shortly after alarms started going off in my head and this intense feeling of dread took over my mind. I could sense something approaching, and it felt strong. Far stronger than any other being in there that I have encountered yet. I glaced in the direction and saw it drifting past about a block away. Call me crazy, but I could have sworn it was Death, he had the full black cloak and even a scythe. Lets just say I didn't stick around very long to found out how he'd react to me, so yeah, I ran and hid in an old deserted coffee shop, woke up, and viola, here we are now. The driver chuclked and said, Man, this dream world of yours, it's crazy, just insane, but it would make a great story. Best seller even. Well then, get writing it. I don't mind if my crazyness becomes your insane profits, use what you are given. Just then Zachary realized they were approaching his company building. He glanced over his shoulder to see the coffee shop just two blocks away. Driver, rememer to stop at that coffee shop every day from now on before taking me to work, thier cappuccinos are the greatest I've had yet. And with that he got out of the car and approached the building. Another day of work to be wasted on a useless peice of junk, with a sigh he entered the automatic doors.
