Hearing the century remark, Kaito simply pouted and turned away. "Well, I apologize for being old-fashioned!" he harrumphed. However, hearing the second half of Akiyo's sentence, Kaito's face flushed red, and his eyes popped opened. "Wh-wha--I didn't--" he started stuttering and flailing about, completely confused.

Carmen_Hernandez_Carriedo Akiyo, closed his eyes and let his head fall back, throaty laughter blossoming from low in his chest. Never had he expected this amount of animation from the boy. A teardrop streaked down his left cheek as he held his stomach and finally managed to sober up. Then tiny bursts of laughter bubbled out of him until he stopped abruptly, his face molding into a stern and serious expression.
"Damn." he spoke. "I can't remember the last time that I really laughed, let alone not to be able to stop." He sat up, swinging his legs over the side of the bed. "I have a headache. I miss my mom. And I want a smoke." He rubbed his face into the palms of his hands and then raked them through his hair. "But you know what I want even more than a smoke right now? Something that might be able to help me even better. Come here." he motioned for Kaito to come.

Akiyo's hearty laughter rang quite well throughout the house, and Kaito hoped mentally that Akira was not stirred by the great laugh. This jovial sound only added more to Kaito's burning flush, as he felt quite insulted by the sudden outburst.
It had been a long time since he laughed...? The line finally registered within Kaito's mind amidst his shame-clouded brain. Pity started to take over instead, especially when Akiyo admitted to missing his mother. Akiyo started ranting, but suddenly hit something. He turned to ask Kaito, but the angel could only shake his head. After the request (more like a command) was given for Kaito to approach the human, he did so somewhat cautiously, but mostly because he wanted to help ease the boy's pain due to the absence of his mother.

Carmen_Hernandez_Carriedo Akiyo looked up at Kaito with sad eyes. He felt awfully vulnerable, so much that he almost took back his request. But he swallowed hard to keep his nerve. "I haven't slept in three days. Except for that nap I took at work yesterday and man that felt good." He couldn't meet Kaito's eyes, so he looked at the floor. This wasn't like him. He so rarely asked for help. "This is going to sound strange, but...there's something about you." He chuckled ruefully before continuing. "Even though you've only given me trouble since you've been here, there's something familiar about you, like I should know you or something. You feel like home, and there's this peace I feel." It all sounding like rambling to his ears. He dared look up at the boy again. Feeling like he's just stripped himself bare, only he wouldn't be half as helpless if that was really the case.

To say the least, Kaito was....confused, extremely so. Akiyo seemed to have started ranting, going on about his insomnia, and, once again, how he missed his mother. As the rant droned on, however, Kaito was slowly able to gather something about Akiyo; perhaps the boy had simply been lonely. Perhaps he just wanted to talk...But wait, his sister was there for that...why would Kaito make a difference? Shaking off this thought, he simply walked over, and sat near Akiyo, raising a small hand (compared to the boy's, anywho) and patting it, as a mother would pat her child's head. "I....don't know how I can help...but I know some humans do this to make each other feel better..." he muttered awkwardly.

Carmen_Hernandez_Carriedo Akiyo stared at him for a while, trying to ignore the awkwardness of the gesture. Then he removed the boy's hand and shook his head, realizing that in his own way, he was only trying to comfort him as he'd said. "You are one enigmatic little boy." he mused. He turned back to stare at the wall in front of him. "I want you to sleep with me. Just under the covers, i won't try anything don't worry." He sighed out a breath that he hadn't realized that he'd been holding. Cautiously he looked back at Kaito. "I mean you don't have to if you don't want to. Goodnight." He pulled his legs back on the bed and slipped under the covers again, turning to face away from the angel.

I want you to sleep with me. Those words rang in Kaito's ears as his face slowly started to heat up. Even without an ulterior motive to the request, it still sounded....provocative. However, he had chosen to trust this human...his savior...his long time crush...and if it would ease the boy's loneliness, then so he should do. If Akiyo said he would not try anything, then Kaito would take his word for it...they seemed sincere.
Though a bit hesistant, the angel finally copied Akiyo's motion, and slid under the covers. He felt somewhat bare without his wings to cover him, but he had to deal with it. He kept a small distance between their bodies, as he did not want to seem clingy or creepy...or whatever other words would describe such a position.

Carmen_Hernandez_Carriedo Akiyo lay quietly in the bed, his eyes roaming the ceiling, the foot of the bed, and his side of the bed. Finally he leaned over Kaito, slowly and carefully and reached to turn off the lamp. He returned to his position, on his side of the bed. A smile curled on his lips at the thought that he now had his side of the bed and Kaito has his. As he tried to drift to sleep he turned his head to look at the angel. It was hard to see him in the dark, but he was very still. He resumed to staring back at the ceiling and his mind wandered in his haze. Soft and hard skin sweaty against his own, musky scents mingling...he stifled a moan and was brought back to the present. He silently prayed that Kaito had not heard him and turned to his side, closing his eyes tight.

Though he was turned the other way, Kaito could hear Akiyo's restless turning and tossing on the bed, for the boy shook the bed quite a few times in his tossing and turning. He also heard something, but only thought of it as a sigh, as the other finally felt...somewhat at ease? Kaito could never be too sure...humans were strange. He was quite worried though...what could be the reason for the restlessness? Kaito decided to stay where he was, but he broke the silence, though meekly. "Uhm....is there...something wrong? You seem...quite restless..." he uttered, not quite sure if he had even worded his question correctly.

Carmen_Hernandez_Carriedo "Just try to ignore it. It's hard for me when I try to fall asleep." his voice sounded on the edge of groggy. He was getting more and more sleepy, but it was a continual chase to actually doze off. His insomnia had gotten so bad at one point that he ended up in the hospital on tranquilizers. After that he'd become addicted to them for a while which was even worse.
The last thing he remembered was really needing a smoke, and then he was hot, really hot. He woke up, his eyes swollen with sleep. He'd actually slept. He blinked up at shiny dark eyes, his mind too fuzzy to read the expression on Kaito's face. "God, you're so hot." he said feeling moisture against his cheek where it rested on the smaller man's chest.
He moved to rest his head on his shoulder and dozed off once again, his arm wrapped tightly around Kaito's waist. As the hours ticked by on the alarm clock, he was in the dark void of his sleeping mind. He'd forgotten what it was like to sleep so soundly so long. The alarm buzzed to life at 6am sharp and startled Akiyo awake.
He reached for it, eyes closed, his chest heavy on top of the angel's and turned it off. When he leaned back he sighed heavily and rubbed his face. The disorientation was new and quite unwelcome. He looked over at Kaito with a question on his face. "Who are you?" he asked. But the answer came to him even before the boy could speak. "Oh...yeah." he said.

Being a 'mythical' being, as some humans would refer to him as, Kaito did not need a long period of time to rest as humans did. His body had a higher physical limit (this being that he had to lift himself into the air with his wings), though he was getting more exhausted at flying. Perhaps being banished from heaven was the reason he was finally exposed to the pressure that had always been present within the human world, and keeps everything down. He wanted to practice flying now....
That was beside the point. Time had ticked passed him as he stayed up and pondered. He was suddenly startled by Akiyo sitting up in the bed, only to say that Kaito was hot, and fell back asleep, one strong arm wrapped around his chest, rather tightly, he might add. Kaito could feel his face getting hotter, but he did not allow the words to sink in...he tried not to let it sink in. Perhaps Akiyo was simply groggy, and mistook Kaito for someone else. The angel closed his eyes, and attempted to push the thoughts out of his head...
When Kaito next woke (barely an hour from the previous time he was awake, a record resting time for him too), he suddenly felt squished. Akiyo was now closer than ever, and the heat started growing on his face. He had long wished to be closer to this person...but this was a bit too much. People were right when they had said to be careful what you wished for...
More time continued to whizz by, and the sky outside the window was slowly being illuminated by the giant orb of fire. Something started to pierce the silence, quite abruptly, and startled the poor angel. He groaned as he felt somth--Akiyo, pressing himself onto the angel as he reached over to shut the device off. As if delirious for a moment, the human had forgotten Kaito, questioning him with the most unpleased look. However, he remembered, and just mumbled recognition for Kaito. The angel sat up, and scrambled out of bed. "D-did you s-sleep well?" he stuttered, trying to talk normally.

Carmen_Hernandez_Carriedo Akiyo sat up, looking at the boy as he scampered out of bed. He had to ponder momentarily whether they'd actually 'slept' together. He was struck with awe at how it could be to sleep like that again. A small smile pulled at the corners of his mouth. "Yeah, I slept pretty good." He pulled his knees up to his chest, suddenly embarrassed as an image of himself curled around Kaito's body flashed in his mind. "Um, what about you?" he asked.

"I've told you before...I need not to sleep...I had a good rest though, t-thank you..." Kaito muttered. He felt it to be rude if he mentioned the fact that Akiyo had pretty much refused to let the angel from his embrace. He simply looked out the window and around, averting eye contact when possible.

Carmen_Hernandez_Carriedo Akiyo scooted off the bed, the sheets falling off him, revealing his pajama bottoms. They sagged around his hips, and the swells of the top of his buttocks. He grabbed his towel off the back of the swivel chair and walked over to the closet and pulled out a folded one from the top shelf. "Here," he said handing it to Kaito. "I'm bringing you to work with me. Maybe we can find whoever lost you." he pouted sweetly and playfully in the angel's direction as he headed into the bathroom.

Kaito caught the...thing thrown his way, and nodded as a thanks. As he stood up, though, Akiyo's little teasing comment got to the angel, and he stormed after the teen. "What do you mean 'who lost' me?! I thought that you had finally resigned to the fact that I fell out of Heaven!" he hissed, not quite pleased nor understanding of the playful comment.
