 A'cuil noted the newcomers with a flick of his ears only, his head swinging over to Icarus. "Was he? Good, then." The wolf shook himself before nodding to Icarus as well, watching him lean into the praise from Taki and Rouqie. "Well done, bright one." He noticed - and felt - the pup restraining his abilities, and frowned deeply. How would he ever hone his power if he kept it all bottled up?
He turned back to Rouqie. "I heard you speak before about a mountain wolf's ferocity. Would you and the mighty hunter care to see it firsthand?" His tail wavered slightly, bordering suspiciously on an actual wag. He flicked an ear at Kora. "The quiet pup here and I were going to go scare up some wood pheasant. You are welcome to join us."

xxxxxAfter the excitement of the first hunt, Icarus was extremely excited. Another few words of praise truly encouraged him, making him crave another hunt. He stopped for a moment, and aknowledged the cold that had begun to seep closer towards them. Shivering, he increased his heat to replace that which was lost. Returning his attention back to A'cuil he was surprised. He had seemed so rough and burly previously, but now he appeared to be excited almost.
xxxxx Cautiously, Icarus took a few tentative steps towards the brown male. However, the game that the spotted adult mentioned wasn't one familiar to him. He cocked his head to the side shortly after being invite, "Pheasant?" He yipped, almost unable to pronounce the title of the prey. Quickly, he sniffed the air, hoping to catch a whif of the creature.

For a moment Rouqie's pride battled with her curiosity to see how the mountain wolves hunted. She'd heard rumors and stories, but never seen with her own eyes... With a sigh she let go of the antler she'd been dragging, letting the stag's head fall to the ground with a muffled thump.
"I'll come. To observe." She decided and stepped up beside A'cuil. Besides, these pups still need more practice, she grinned coyly.
"After you, o' great hunter."

 Taki turned to gaze at the brown wolf and Rouqie as she twitched her ears unsure of what to do. Although she longed to join them she wanted to stay out of the way. She stood there, battling with herself as she whimpered low in her throat. She wasn't used to being around so many. She would hunt alone since she was a loner. The grumbling in her belly suggested that she probably should hunt as well and leave to deer for others. She nodded quickly to Rouqie before turning and padded into the bushes the opposite way.  As the icy male stopped before the body of the deer he sniffed it then glanced at Rouqie. "I could carry this back to the clearing if you like. All I ask is I may have the antlers of the creature once the meat is gone." He watched the other female bound into the bushes her own way as he faced the other female. He could always gather herbs or something. He needed to find a den around here as well. He wouldn't swelter to death by his thick coat for the chill he created would keep him cool. His otherworldly eyes locked with the female's golden ones as he gazed coolly at her.

Rouqie's attention was drawn back to Departed for a moment by his question. "Sure." She said, in a genuine tone. There was definitely something more to this wolf than meets the eye. She was really regretting snarling on instinct earlier.
Perhaps his was like those icicles of his, cold and sharp outside, but full of light within? "Then again..." She thought as another wave of cold washed over her.
"You can have some of the meat if you like, since it seems like you plan to stay. I have a feeling you'll be able to earn your keep, Medic." She said that last word with a slight grin.

Ceres walks gently in between the trees, searching for something, anything. Her ears perked up as she heard a noise off in the distance. Slowly walking up to the noise, she starts wondering what it could possible be. "What do I do if it is a member of my old pack?" She thought to herself as she gets closer to the noise. She looks through some trees to see that it is a few wolves close together over a corpse, their meal.
Ceres cautiously moves closer to the group as she knows how others get over their food. Clearing her throat quietly, she builds up the nerve to try to get their attention. This was her chance to start over, to be someone again. She eyes the purplish female, sensing that she has the most authority right now, and hopes that she can please her.
"Excuse me, I was wondering if you would mind an extra wolf around?" Ceres said before taking a deep breath to soothe her nerves. "I have been without a pack for sometime, and I will work my stay if you would let me." Eying all the wolves around, she starts to lower her head towards the ground, wishing that she knew how to deal with other wolves without being awkward. What she had said was true, it had been a while since she was part of a pack. Though she didn't mention why she was without a pack, without anyone to rely upon. Reflecting about it, she knew that she didn't do what her old pack thought she did. Even thinking about it made her shutter. She knew that whatever had done it was something unspeakable, something mysterious. This something, she felt, was not done with whatever it's evil mission was.

Kora watched A'cuil and Rouqie talk about hunting, silently wishing that they would hurry up so that A'cuil would teach her how to hunt. She saw with dismay as first the strange medic joined them, then a pink wolf showed herself. When will the hunt start? she thought. She wanted to learn, not talk.
As the pink wolf spoke, Kora saw how nervous she was. Did Darkness come to her pack? she wondered. She could relate to that, at least. Kora padded over to the wolf and asked, "Why no pack? Darkness come?"

Ceres looks down to see a young brown and flowered pup speaking to her. She pondered what the darkness was, and had decided that it sounded like it could have been what she faced. "It might have been the darkness that caused my pack to chase me away." Ceres sadly says to the young pup. "Though I am not quite sure what it was, but this isn't a conversation for now."
Looking closer at the pup, she realizes that her muscles are waiting to do something. "What would your name be young one?" She calmly asks while smiling, "And what might you be so excited about?"

Kora nodded, but she knew it probably wasn't the Darkness if her pack had still been alive to chase her away. The Darkness only killed, as far as she knew. She wanted to say as much, but she could tell that the she-wolf probably would appriciate it if she tried to continue with the subject.
The she-wolf's question somewhat suprised her. She had been around the group of wolves for a while, knew most of their names, but no one had asked hers. "Kora. Whats yours?" Kora said. "And A'cuil teach me to hunt!"

"Kora, what a pretty name." Ceres declares with fascination. "What are you planning on catching?" She asks while wondering which wolf was A'cuil. "Are you planning on being a big, strong hunter when you are older, Kora?"
Ceres looks around, and notices that this isn't her forte. She was never a powerful hunter, which is a wonder how she had managed to make it this long with only her small catches. Maybe she could pick up a few pointers from this group of wolves, so that she could prove her worth.

"Pheasant." Kora said with difficulty. She shook her head when the she-wolf asked if Kora planned on being a hunter. "Warrior, so I fight the Darkness. A'cuil says hunting show I have mettle to learn." Kora cocked her head. "What mettle?"
She watched the she-wolf look around at the group, and hoped that they wouldn't chase her away. The pink wolf was the only one who Kora felt she could really talk to. Thankfully, due to the number of wolves- incuding herself- popping up, she doubted they would.

"'Mettle' is fighting fire." A'cuil spoke from the trees behind Kora and the pretty pink wolf. Amidst all the talking, he had worked his way beck over to the quiet one he was supposed to be teaching. For such a large wolf, he knew how to move without drawing attention to himself. "It is the passion to commit yourself to your teachings. Without it, you will never be as strong as you want to be." His eyes burned down at Kora as he said this.
To Ceres, he looked up and nodded. "You, too are welcome to join the hunt. You don't look like you have experience; you'll need at least a fraction."
So saying that, A'cuil waved his brush in a silent signal: his hunt was ready to begin. He loped off in the direction of the pheasant hiding place he had spotted earlier.

xxxxxIcarus watched silently as the wolves in front of him conversed. His limited speech abilities prevented him from entering the conversation and instead he looked around. He analyzed the surrounding foliage and inhaled. The scents he registered were fresh stag, and the smells of the wolves around him. The sight before him gave him warmth. To see the group of beings like himself together reminded him of having a family.
With a last interested look at Departed, he turned towards the direction he had just watched the brown canine lope off into. Icarus inhaled deeply, trying to garner courage and leaped off after him, excited for his second hunt.

Rouqie nodded to Departed as she trotted past him to follow A'cuil. She gave Icarus a quick grin as she fell into pace beside him, he already looked stronger, bigger even, and he didn't seem to be having trouble keeping up like before.
She immediately caught the scent of the pheasant, knowing in her gut it was only a few miles to the west. But this was A'cuil's hunt, not hers, and she had to keep reminding herself of that as they slipped through the forest.

Kora met A'cuil's eyes and nodded. Well, she hadn't understood all the words he used, but atleast she knew it had to do with will. Why didn't he just say that? She looked at the she-wolf and hoped she agreed to come.
Seeing A'cuil lope off, Kora ran to catch up with him, Icarus, and Roulqie.
