"Oh, I'm sure he's busy with the rush of patients coming in. Must be the end of the first rounds," Carolyn says

Well then, if the doc was busy... this man had his own idea as he held up his finger to keep the parents where they were. For a larger fellow, he moved quite quietly out of the waiting room and into the area that Thurgood was in. His left hand rested within his suit coat, grasping something which in fact was identification. He'd end up next to the bed, remaining rather silent as he watched this boy to see how he was doing...

The aide of Shinjiko Enterprises would find Thurgood unconscious, but his eyelids are moving a little, as they would on a normal person in the REM stage of sleep; his heartbeat would be steady, and his oxygen saturation would be at about 83% due to his lung damage though, but stable for now, awaiting possible surgery.

He watched for a moment before turning, grabbing a chair and sitting on it backwards facing Thurgood. "My name is Alexander Gabrielus. I work for one of the fighters here in this tournament... Tous Shinjiko. I come, even in your state, to make sure you pull through." Alexander explained to the more or less knocked out Thurgood. He didn't really expect a response, but doing what he did he knew that in that state Thurgood would hear him without a problem, even if he was on the edge of death. Lucky he was almost better.

“We told you to rest a few days last night, you didn’t listen and look what happened.” Medics who where on station from the night before chided Joseph as he re-entered the infirmary. His shoulders where sliced up, blood oozed out, dripping down onto the floor. His abdomen was charred and cut into, the organs behind the flesh starting to fail. Staggering around Joe crashed into a wall, the blood loss from his fight finally affecting him.
“I saw your fight. To be honest, you shouldn’t even be standing right now. Whatever you have going on in that body of yours that keeps it going under that much punishment, seems to have finally given out.” A doctor from across the room said as he walked over, and helped the fighter get to a bed. “If you go on because of pride, just remember the story of Icarus. You’re libel to repeat it.”
The doctor called for a small staff of white mages to come see to the fighter, before leaving to attend to his other patients. “This time listen to people! Rest you ignorant s**t.”

Of course Thurgood couldn't hear the aide, he's too busy dreaming about his newest tool: the one he really hasn't built yet, but he's dreaming of cutting the tough igneous island rock into blocks with it and using them to finish the retaining walls at either end of his driveway in no time flat.

There was a gash on the left side of her forehead, all purple and swollen. So she thought she'd stop by and have it looked at, make sure there was no trauma. The blurry vision in that eye had cleared, she didn't have a headache, but the lump on her head felt really tender.
A check-up, some treatment, and she'd be back in her room watching tapes and enjoying actually having a hotel to stay in.
She went to admissions desk or wherever new patients check in.
"Erm... can I get this checked quickly?" she said, pointing to the lump and the gash on the left side of her head. "I'd like to avoid too much scarring if possible."

Alexander watched for a little bit longer until his cellphone beeped once. He gave a sigh, standing up and turning the chair back the way it should be. With his left hand he pulled out his wallet from inside his pocket. It was opened, right hand taking a few folded pieces out and a black business card.
The pieces were foreign currency from Tous' homeland, two bills with the number 100 written on all four corners. They were folded around the business card, which simply was more of instructions to meet with Tous Shinjiko if interested in the prospect of more currency.
Alexander then walked away after shoving the folded bills and card into the right hand of Thurgood, heading past the waiting room and past the family members without saying a word... with that... he left.

After being swept from the scene of his hopeful victory by a throng of over-zealous tournament officials, Jace found his way to the infirmary.
Not an easy process, by the way. Most of the spectators he encountered on his hunt for the damn thing couldn't make out a word of his thick, rhythmic accent, until it seemed he finally encountered another American on the tenth or twelfth attempt.
Gunmetal blue eyes scanned the chaos in mild surprise as the Acadien stepped into the infirmary; some people, it would seem, had taken some serious injuries in their first round. Most of these looked nearly fatal. If they were anywhere else, they probably would have been. Was this what he could expect to be up against in the rounds to come?
"Ah.." Jace called softly to a nurse as she bustled past. The redhead passed him by and began tending to a woman who looked like she'd gone toe-to-toe with a freightliner. He didn't have the heart to ask when he could be tended to; his own wounds were minor at best. Instead the man ambled slowly along, knitting his brow, in search of a free aide to question, his fractured left arm hanging nearly motionlessly at his side.
"Where do ah wait?"

The laugh of an estranged hyena filled the room.
"Lookie at what I found." Kenji Hood, Fighter #7, said aloud as he busted through the medicine cabinet. It was chalk full to the brim of Vicodin to give to as samples before the patients left to go to their local pharmacy. They were packaged in small little wrappers which were ripped open with his teeth like a pack of Skittles. Dropping the tiny, white pills into his hand and dry swallowed two of them quickly and then shoved a two hand fulls in his pockets. It had been a few days since he had a good fix, so the itching and cold sweats were going to start hitting him hard if he didn't do something more than Marijuana.
A few seconds later a calming effect swooned over his body. The initial euphoria was yet to come, but it was nice to know the drugs were already coursing through his system. He walked over to a sink and began to wash his hands and stared at the blank wall.

Matilda, vhere is meiner mask? I can not do surgery without it!!"
The angry doctor came stumbling from an unseen passageway into the room where Kenji now stuffed pills into his pockets. How this man had gotten into the clinic was up to interpretation, but clearly the man was insane.
Blood splattered the front of his medical scrubs. He was holding a rather sharp scalpel in his hands. His glasses covered eyes looked rather piercingly at the drug addict, watching with a keen gaze as the man enjoyed the beginning effects of the drugs.
"Who are you, herr? Vas are you doing here?"
The doctor wasn't going to wait for answers, he jumped straight at Kenji, scalpel extended.

"First the dragon... now Mengele." Kenji said just as the crazy doctor lunged at him.
Every time he entered a place of health it always turned into a place of death. Either he was killing someone or ER was having a zombie episode. This time a bloodied up doc was enraged that the drug dealer was stealing... drugs. Could he blame him? All these painkillers just laying around for the taking would entice the best of men. Hell, if Yusuke had bills and child support to pay he'd be selling baggies of weed to middle schoolers. It wasn't his fault that the infirmary staff were ******** retarded, but it was up to him to quell his addiction while keeping up with supply and demand.
As the scalpel headed his way he would rotate his left arm counterclockwise from the bottom up so his forearm would strike against the man's arm deflecting the incoming stab. Following that would be a right fist to the face.

Smiling pleasantly, a woman with bright red hair in a white nurses uniform greeted her from behind the triage desk.
"Of course! Do you have any allergies to magical healing? Our clerics on duty from the Temple of Falis can close that up without any signs of scaring if you're fine with divine magic." Standing up and moving past her coworkers to lead the woman to a nearby examination table, the other woman would be able to see a cat's tail sticking out of the back of her white uniform.
Yes, Cat Girl healers.
"Please have a seat right here. Someone should be over shortly." Another bright smile of now noticeable canines, the lovely red haired cat girl sauntered over to a crowd of clerics before returning to her station at the triage desk.

"Well, as far as I know I'm not evil or undead, so that should be fine," she said, smiling.
Adaire couldn't help but blush, she loved Nekos, especially the ears, the soft furry ears. Must not search for the soft fuzzy ears. It would look rather rude to glomp a nurse from behind just so she could find and pet those velvet ears. There was certainly a sweat drop on the back of Adaire's neck as she elegantly restrained herself so no one would ever know what she really wanted to do at that moment.
As she nodded and sat at the examination table to wait, she sighed to herself. Then she sort of squinted, this was like being a kid at Disneyland and not being allowed to go over and hug Micky mouse. She looked around for any cat guys. Scratch that, she looked to see who else was around. Then she remembered they had a roller coaster somewhere around here.

"HELLOOOOOOOOOOO~!" A cheery voice erupted from Adaire's side as a little girl no older then fifteen popped out from seemingly underneath the table, her little nurses armband in disarray over her dark blue and white clerical uniform. "I'm Sooz, a Cleric of Falis. I'll patch you up in a JIFFY okay?" And before she could voice any complaints, the girl swooped in on the woman with the tenacity of youth, hands covering her wound and glowing brightly as she furrowed her brows and pouted in concentration. In that moment Sooz looked even younger to Adaire in her eager moment of concentration and a normal person would be worried to have such a young healer attend upon them - and Adiare should be. Sooz still had a bit more practicing to do before the Priests would let her heal on her own but she'd snuck along anyway. "Hmm, this is strange..." ... Good luck Adaire! (( So, I'm out for the weekend. Sooz will have done a wonderful job, but you can make it as funny as you want xd ))
