Town - ORANGE!

User Image

A small giggle escaped her throat as she slipped down the sidewalk. People moved out of the way as though they were about to catch on fire. Good...cause she wasn't exactly good on the skates. Didn't stop it from being fun though, just meant she couldn't exactly turn on a dime.

There was a bit of a current feeling as Antonio slipped past her. Well, he did weigh more naturally so it wasn't all that unbelievable. Still...the speed at which he caught up and slipped past wasn't right. He was cheating.

But that's okay, she cheated all the time.

Besides...he just gave her an idea she want to---

oranges.

Shandra pushed herself upward without a second thought. She felt herself in the air, as though she'd just been bounced up from a springing board. Her eyes were wide, trying to figure out just how to land properly. But even as she started to cushion her fall, her body reacted on instinct.

Thank god for years of practicing parkour...

Otherwise the maneuver she just did with the booth, her powers, the pole, and the ground would have hurt. However, the role that followed on that ended up getting messed up...stupid skates changing the shape and weight of her foot. And that's how she ended up on her butt...laughing.

Yes, she was definitely laughing over forcing herself not to trip over an orange, doing something in the air, and then landing on her butt for it.

The damage that Antonio did to the orange cart, however, apparently wasn't a laughing matter to the vendor owner. In fact...the lady seemed quiet perturbed. Her accent, which already had the slight blur on Ls and Rs, came out in a rush. Thankfully, Shandra was good with hearing the difference of the Asian L/R accent exchange.

Unlocking her rollerblades, Shandra pulled her shoes back out and put them on. So much for not getting in trouble...damage control. Carts like that cost a good deal of money, and she was still paying for all the equipment back at the Academy with her school credits...technically she still had plenty in places that the academy wasn't supposed to know about...

And she was planning on donating some...

Biting her lip, Shandra got up. She could simply leave Antonio there to fend for himself...but...why did she always have to feel bad about things like that when they weren't her fault?

Sighing, Shandra walked over to the woman, not trying to placate her because that wasn't what she was there to do. The woman had a right to be angry, her cart had been destroyed. She was just going to try to get her to calm down before that area decided that they were bad people. With a quick whisper of a sum that was probably a good deal over what the produce would have cost along with the cart, Shandra pulled back. It took a moment to write down a number and the name she'd put an account under...

This all felt very wrong, she hadn't touched that money in years. She knew it was still there, she'd had her own private one made, but...she hadn't had a need for it. What did she need that she couldn't just steal or sneak into?

Still, the look on the woman's face promised that they weren't going to get too much trouble from her, so long as she got the money soon. That part was going to be interesting...she couldn't remember if she could print out a check to give the woman or not...

Bend down to eye level with Antonio, Shandra shook her head lightly. Not upset, but not amused anymore. She still was feeling the grip of confusion as to why she was dipping into a resource she hadn't thought about until recently. What was it about forming a group with people that made her want to tap into things she knew she had that others didn't know she did?

Standing back up, after attempting to help Antonio to his feet, Shandra searched over the people to try and see just what had made the normally graceful gymnast to crash. There had to be something...

And her eyes spotted Raine, Sophie, Christian, and Varian just a moment later. It was almost too easy at that point...for some reason, mutants just stood out in how they interacted with others - including their walk. She was no expert, but spotting Varian, who held himself with a prideful aloofness, was little more than child's play.

Wait a minute...

Her eyes narrowed lightly.

Was that Alek trailing behind them, almost as though he was trying to go unnoticed with them? What was a bunch of the newer recruits, and one not so mentally sane, doing out in such a big group?

Shandra mentally pushed at herself. Now she was starting to think like the older x-men. Those four (five) weren't too much younger than she herself was. She just...it felt weird knowing that for all intents and purposes, she had more experience on them in a few areas.

Looking back to Antonio she couldn't help but motion with her head towards the group of four and in an odd way to Alek who was following them.

"Do you want to try and keep an eye on them...or pretend we never saw them?"

After all, two thieves navigating a city would be very hard to find if they did want to try and make a break for it. Especially with all the practice they both had at it.

Omega- Beach - Top Gun Has Nothing On Us

User ImageAlright, so it was true that Maddy's abilities weren't the most friendly, nor were they much use in volleyball. Well, I suppose that she could cut the ball in half, but then she would probably chased across the beach for ruining the game. She jumped at Evie's first attack with the ball. It hit her palms squarely. She could tell they would be red by the end of all this. At least they weren't counting that, because it wasn't to brilliant of a hit. Evie was putting up the poles right quick and in a hurry without any real help. So, a restart then? She walked over to the ball, sunken into the sand, and kicked it up like a soccer ball.

Maddy rested the thing nonchalantly on her hip and looked about at her team and the competition. Already they lost a person who she thought could be some help. Alek, from the little that she had seen of him, was by her standards a complete idiot. No sense at all; a love for stupid violence. Even still, a frozen ball headed towards the sand of the other team would have been helpful. Now, who else did she have? Just Jacen? Okay, he should be pretty damn awesome. And... okay, for the life of her, she couldn't remember this girl's name. It was Vietnamese, right? It had to be Nguyen, then. No, she didn't even look Vietnamese... Japanese? s**t. Maddy, for all her book smarts, was terrible with remembering names. When she had been captain of her old school's Archery Team, she hadn't even known the names of a good number of the freshman. Oh, alright, somebody had said it. 'Hoshi, Hoshi, Hoshi,' she rolled over in her mind. she wished more people were around. she hadn't heard anything from Cissa, at least. She pushed the idea of a flaming ball sent flying at Vallon out of her mind.

Alright, getting a move on then. She stepped back into the corner and spun the ball around in her hand, as if such a motion would do anything for her. With an intake of breath and the solemn hope that she would screw up too badly, she set her self up, trying to get settled in the sand. Tossing the ball up in front of her , she smacked it with her palm again and set it flying with what seemed to be a good speed across the court. It made it over the net by about a foot and continued on it course forward.

Now all they needed was some epic background music courtesy of Kenny Loggins.

Omega – Come to the Dark Side...

Growing up in a tropical climate surrounded by beaches and pretty-much cut off from the rest of the world had it’s disadvantages. No watching Chelsea Lately (which had become a favorite of Jacen’s since arriving at the Academy), No Internet chatting, No cookie monster youtube videos. But the advantages far out-weighed the cons; like having not much else to do but be outside as a kid. Outside on a beach most of the time. Maddy had it right, Jacen had lived on things like volleyball.

Jacen stepped in front of the 10ft line, taking a position before the net in the middle, shuffling his feet in the sand only to have Alek leave their team. “Oh, umm, okay then.” He could hang two to four, but… “Any of you guys wanna join the winning side?” he asked, smiling at the taunt.

Evie would definitely be a problem, what with her enhanced reflexes and such, along with Vallon and that golem arm of his. They’d have to be careful to keep the ball away from them. Jacen didn’t know whether or not Leion’s powers could affect the ball without blowing it up, but he figured the boy would come up with a few tricks to pull. Hoshi was a wild card, depending on whether she transformed into her dragon form or not, and if she did she was going to killer at defense…

Thinking of the possible ways of absolutely destroying their adversaries didn’t keep him away from the game, watching the ball go soaring over his head, then the net. A pretty good serve if he did say so himself.

Omega - Jolly lil stroll

Christian laughed a bit when Sophia directed the conversation from her singing. He just shook his head a bit when she looked at the ground and blushed. Just when he was going to say something, he saw Varian approach the two. Shortly after that Raine joined the trio sitting on the porch. He listened for a moment while Varian and Sophia conversed before turning his attentions to the group’s ‘new arrival’.

“Good to see you out and about,” Christian said to Raine as he began to head towards the steps. Sophia had just basically taken the lead of their little menagerie and headed out a few paces before the rest of the pack. The four reconvened on the way down the path that cut through a grove of palms. Nothing fancy, but an access from the condo to wherever the path led. He didn’t say much though as they walked briskly towards the marketplace. Christian had a gut instinct that they were being… followed by someone. He couldn’t tell how or why it was he felt that way, but he did. He was taught to never ignore his instincts, and that had always how he managed to steel himself into surviving week long treks into the wilderness.

He almost ran over Sophia when she stopped and saw the sprawled out market. “Sorry, Sophie,” Christian drawled absently while he overlooked the entire area. Plenty of touristy type stuff, but Christian wasn’t sure that they had what it was he wanted to replace and knew they had all the time in the world to find out. That feeling in the pit of his stomach wouldn’t go away, and he felt compelled to say something. Just as he was about to, he watched Varian duck away from the group and into a tent.

“Very well,” Christian drawled a bit again, feeling the laze of the day beginning to creep up. “Raine, Sophie. Don’t want to crap in anyone’s cereal, but I got a funny feelin’ we’re bein’ followed.” Just as soon as he said that, his attentions focused to the guy crashing through a nearby orange cart. He blinked a couple of times until he recognized the guy was Antonio. That was all but confirmed when he saw Shandra skate up to where he was getting himself back righted again.

“And it looks like we’re not the only ones here,” he said with a smile as he waved in Shandra and Antonio’s direction. Christian could at least acknowledge their presence, even if they weren’t going to form a tourist group of epic proportions. While he was waving, he felt something hit his foot and saw an orange right at the toe of his boot. Without a second thought, he picked up the orange quickly to dust it off. He knew the proprietor of the demolished orange cart would be angry, but Christian did intend to pay for it. Not a single beat was missed as Christian peeled the orange in semi-record time.

“Anyone want an orange?,” Christian said between bites of the rather delicious fruit. “I’m buying.”

Alphas: Fun and games will return after these interruptions

Hoshi lifted an eyebrow as Alek basically threw a miniature tantrum and stomped off. She was tempted to go over and give him a Gibbs smack and tell him that her eleven year old sisters were more mature, but refrained from doing so. She shook her head. She now understood why Bella had gotten that expression earlier. Hoshi stepped to Evie's side. "Hey Evie, I'm gonna switch sides to even things out okay?" Hoshi ducked under the net as Jacen served the ball. "Hey are we allowed to use our powers in this game?" She asked.

Hoshi shook her head while waiting for an answer. How things ever got done around the mansion was a mystery to her. this was the third time they'd restarted the volleyball game and she didn't doubt that there would be a few more false starts. She couldn't wait for her sisters to join her at the school. She knew that Sorcha at least, would love it. Morgan was another story. she sighed and shook off her gloomy thoughts. This was vacation-no gloom and doom allowed.

Omega: Coming Down From the Tower - Beach Bumming ItUser Image

Narcissa downed her tea, scalding hot—And passively watched Kerrigan and Forellen finish theirs. One of the few perks of having blood akin to the temperature of molten lava was that the rest of her was just as insulated… The heat never bothered her. Only extreme cold, perhaps, being stuck in the arctic circle for months would bother her. And that, was only if the sun wasn’t shining.

Kerri has sun block.”, Narcissa responded to Blight on auto pilot, before her expression became as contrite as the sun child got when she glanced at her red head. “Not to offer up something that isn’t mine… But I certainly don’t burn, and with that pretty complexion and previous experience I know you do…”

She rest delicately on the bed, her right leg crossed elegantly over her left. Her empty tea cup rest on the edge of the bed in its saucer, her arms holding her upper body up. It was a relaxed position, though it didn’t stop her from looking entirely fierce. Kerrigan had been right about the way her hair cut made her look… and even pulled back, it was perfect and sharp with its simplicity…

Narcissa looked the part of a prissy spoiled princess… But instead of carefree crassness and cruelty that should have been in her eyes, there was a darker look. It was haunted, sad… It added to her visage, though she wasn’t sure if it affected her positively or negatively…Just that it made her look dangerous, in certain lights. She’d always held an edge of visible malice… It just came with the territory of being first a Hellion, and then an Omega.

Now it was clear, and driven—That she would just as soon talk about the latest fashion, just as she would burn someone to dust… With the same conviction. It disturbed her on a few levels… But part of making the rest of the world think she was hunky dory, depended on her hiding her own personal monsters in mental closets. Compartmentalizing. She’d been good at it, once. Now she was simply unable to decompress.

“And for the record, yank tea is crap…Whoever came up with a berry zinger was bored and drunk.”, she chimed in thoughtfully after a brief period of silence. She stood up in a fluid motion and set her tea cup down on the tray as she walked over to the bathroom and dug out a few towels. No way, she was going to fill her own towels with sand and muck. They were crisp white, and large. “Anyone else need a towel?”

Depending on what the reply was, would depend on how many she grabbed from the well stocked bathroom shelf.

**

A little while later found her padding down the front porch, flip flops slapping her heel lightly as she moved. There was a volley ball game going on, and a few people in the water. There were quite a few Omega faces she didn’t see—But she chalked it up to them either being inside resting, or having gone to town. Knowing her progeny, they were out causing some trouble… But if they didn’t get into a little trouble, they wouldn’t be Omega… It was a find thought. The closer she got to more people, the more she felt like going back inside… But she couldn’t do that. Nope, not her. She would walk with her head held high, her voice would obey her, and she would be… Herself.

Today was going to be exhausting.

But she had told Kerrigan and Forellen that they were going to the beach--- So here they were… The beach. With people. So many, that it made her skin crawl.

But she simply laid out her beach towel a safe distance from the game, but close enough she could watch what was going on, and still get some sun. She sat down on her towel and promptly closed her eyes for a moment, skin warming from the sun.

“Mm… Sun.”, she murmured, not really to anyone but herself. She loved the sunlight…Needed it. It made some of the negativity within her fade… Seemed to push the darkness back.

Her eyes then focused on the volley ball game... Was Evelyn really there? She had trouble accepting that the natural blond rapid healing sassy mouthed alpha managed to appear in just the nick of time... Part of her wondered if she was just another of Belasco's tricks.

But another part of her so badly wanted it to be her...Friend... That it didn't care.

There were lots of parts of her that didn't care... But watching some of her Omega's play, she did care.

It was nice, relieving, to be able to care.

O+M+E+G+A- Volleyball Return

As the game was restarted for the third time, Maddy served the ball, a nice serve flew over the net in the middle of the court. Leion was the first to move for it, "Anyone care to help me finish this sentence?" he asked playfully as he maneuvered under the ball and put his hands together into a double fist and bumped the ball into the air to keep it in their area "Bump-"

He was referring to a lame sentence that had been plastered all over his old high school's gym BUMP SET SPIKE, set there to inspire the volleyball team to play to their best or something. He really wasn't sure if anyone else had ever heard it, after all he didn't know if all high school, outside of Academy X, were at the same level of stupidity and pointless school spirit. Though if they had it would make for a pretty good moment of apparent teamwork and add some psych damage to the volleyball attack.

he actually just wanted someone to set the ball for him to spike it, rather selfish but he just wanted to use his powers to install some volleyball-themed fear into his actual teammates who were playing on the side with Hoshi. Sure him playing with two Alphas rather than the Omegas might come up later in some team meetings if anyone was that shallow, but he could deal with that later.

User ImageAlpha: Serving Up

Alek's behavior made her roll her eyes. That was exactly the attitude that Gideon was referencing and exactly what would have driven Bella mad. Evie felt slightly guilty for making Bella have to deal with the behavior. In some ways, she felt responsible. When Evie was team leader, she had done nothing to help Alek. All she had done was put fuel to the fire. And he was lucky that she was entwined in this game or she would have buried his a** in the sand, real hard.

There were no team lines in this game. They were just kids playing a game, and that was her goal. See how everybody worked and after two months, learn about people. Teams meant nothing at the moment to her. People did. Limbo was justification of that enough.

"Absolutely powers are allowed, Hosh," Evie responded and winked, "After all some of us can't turn ours off so that wouldn't exactly be fair."

And with that the game began. She watched Maddy serve it and as Leion clearly wanted the set up. She knew the phrase but also knew that it's targeted action wasn't always easy in mutant volley ball. They would be lucky if anybody scored a point anytime soon.

Her brain worked as quick as it could and she did her best without knowing what Leion had in mind. Had she be going for the spike, she could have hit the exact location she wanted based on the movements and likely powers of the other team. But Leion would be unpredictable. So she shut her brain off and set him up as logically as she could, "Set, my dear."

Evie put it up for him to spike it. At that moment a scent hit the breeze that let her know they had new company. Cissa. She hadn't talked to Cissa since Illyana sent them home. No mention was made of the fact that Cissa could have ended Evie's existence in the flash of a second or that Cissa didn't or that Evie almost didn't care if she had. She always lived to lay it on the line when it had to be.

For a brief moment, she looked out towards the Omega leader and nodded. Just an acknowledgment. They would talk.... at some point.

Alpha: Vacation: hitting the waves.

User ImageGideon could hear and easily see what others were doing. He noticed a group leave and some start u a game of volleyball. He saw Cissa come out to the beach as well. It was good to see the girl getting out. She was decent at putting up pretense hiding things from others. Gideon could tell some of how she felt through her subtle be still clear changes. But he understood her conflict and lingering effects of what she went through. He would talk to her later on. Maybe having someone who understood more of what she went through then others would help her healing process.

But his focus was still more towards his girlfriend. He hoped she would truly let herself go and relax on this vacation. He could tell the Alek thing was still bothering her. When he reached the shore line as the waves rolled across his bare feet. He had taken off leaving his shirt and sandals further up the beach. Not that he was worried about them in the first place. He wasn't bothered by lose of something like clothes not that anyone here would mess with it anyway. He heard Bella's words. Laughing lightly he shook his head. "No since if I had the desire to put the Popsicle in his place I would." He said moments before launching himself into the waves. A rare occurrence where Gideon displayed his physical prowess. Using his considerable strength he made it out to where Bella was with a minor splash as he was met with a wave. In a picture perfect dive well as much of one as can be done in the pacific surf and not from a diving board.

He heard her next comment as he breached the surface of the water. "Well that is true. I would certainly be more likely to then she." Gideon said with a hint of sarcasm and yet at the same truthfulness to his words. "But in all honesty lets ignore the ice cube and just relax." Gideon said going back underwater and coming up right next to Bella tickling her sides. "Come on Bella we are on vacation we just need to relax and have fun."

Alpha: Oh la la-- Romantique!User Image

S’allright mon ami…”, she responded to Christian, who was apologizing for nearly running into her. “Ah’m the one that shoudn’t stop in the middle of the road.”

She tore her eyes off of some of the jewelry hanging n an outdoor shop… There was a pendant she especially liked, a rose carved out of some kind of pink quartz. Her eyes lingered on other thin silver and gold chains, and little bejeweled bracelets… Her attention was taken as she heard Varian break off from the main group. She nodded her head… “Ah have my comm, if you can’t find us…”, she called after him, blinking back mild concern. He’d seemed like he wanted to hang out with them… But just as suddenly he wanted to be alone. She would never really understand him… Or any male, for that matter. They were all so complicated.

She hadn’t noticed Antonio right away though, until he smashed into a vendor selling oranges…. Was he rollerblading? She covered her mouth with her hand to hide an involuntary smile as the oranges tumbled everywhere, and she immediately felt bad for the vendor who started yelling… And for Antonio, who landed flat on his back in the street.

Her eyes caught Shandra helping him up… And she couldn’t help but wonder if they were on a date. It would be so cute! Antonio was flirty to say the least, and Shandra seemed to be the opposite…But opposites attract, so they say. Sophie liked entertaining the idea of star crossed romances… She’d officially read too many Jane Austin novels… If she were any other girl, and if Shandra were any other girl, she would have plied the truth out of her with chocolate and girl talk--- But sadly, Sophie wasn’t that bold—And Shandra, she had noticed, wasn’t that easy.

Sophie, being Sophie—Felt the need to go over and ask if Antonio was all right--- But if they were on a date, far be it from her to interrupt. So she waved instead, and started moving to help pick up the oranges. Some were beyond repair, but some were still seemingly fine—So she carried an armload over to the vendor as he fixed the stand leg with a crate.

“My friend would like to buy some, if possible m’sieu…”, she intoned lightly, bending down to help pick up more of them as she gestured towards Christian.

The man grumbled but nodded his head in thanks as others started to help clean up the small mess.

She never realized that Alek was behind them, despite Christians warning. Sophia wasn't a hunter, unless shopping for sales counted.

User ImageAlpha: Inside where it's safe.

Molly didn’t pause long enough to thank Hoshi for handing over the book she had lost when she had fell back in panic. Clutching the book to her chest Molly was quick to retreat back to the condo and quickly holed herself into her room. She stood there looking around the room almost not remembering where she was or what she was doing here. Finally she shook her head and dragged a hand through her hair with a ragged breath. Okay she wasn’t going to have a total breakdown...this was supposed to be a vacation...you know where you relax and enjoy yourself. Then why did these people stick her at the beach? Molly was sure that somewhere in her psychological profile the senior staff kept on people there was a sticky note that said she suffered from aquaphobia.

There of course was the core of her problems with this situation. The condo was situated almost right on the beach and it was a place that Molly was unable to make herself go to. It seemed that no matter how many times she told herself that the fear was all in her head Molly just couldn’t seem to shake it. It was something that both infuriated and embarrassed her. At the moment it was all she could do to not curl up in a ball in her bed and cry herself to sleep. Molly let out a frustrated noise. ”What is wrong with me?” She groaned wanting to shout but biting her tongue. If she started shouting at herself she would no doubt roust the concern of the others and there was no point in her worry everyone else because she was afraid of a little water.

With a heavy sigh Molly flopped on her bed and lay back to just watching the ceiling listening to the sounds of the ocean and the voices of the others here all enjoying themselves out in the sun and here she was more or less hiding from the bright outdoors. She couldn’t go outside again today...if she tried to make herself leave the house for any other reason besides going to town she would have a breakdown. Molly sighed again and after a few minutes of listening to nothing other than the noise coming in from the open window and the small wall clock hanging over the dresser she slid from bed and flipped open her laptop and buried herself into it wanting to do something mindless to get her mind off of her troubles.

Omega:Catalina - In Omega Company

User Image
Kerrigan finished her tea leisurely, smiling at Forellen as she asked if someone had brought sunblock for their nearing beach excursion. Before she really had a chance to reply, Narcissa answered for her, the redhead chuckling softly to herself as she caught the blonde's glance. She shook her head to show that she harbored no ill will against the girl - there was more sunblock in the bottle than she could use in this vacation, but she had to be prepared. As her blonde bombshell pointed out, her redhead complexion made the sun an almost constant factor anytime she thought about going outside.

When the three omegas were ready to go, the redhead sat up from where she was on the bed, collecting her bag that she packed with her beach gear and slipping it over her shoulder. She shook her head no when the blonde asked if either of them needed a towel, Kerrigan pulling a corner of her beach towel from her bag to show that she was already prepared int hat department. Her aviator sunglasses, perched on top of her head, slipped over her eyes, the redhead messing her fingers through her curls as she followed the two of them out the room door, making sure that it was shut behind her.

------------------------------------------------------------------

The sea breeze washed over the redhead as she made her way through the sand in Narcissa's wake. Her white shirt cover up gave peeks of her bikini underneath as she moved, the redhead smiling despite herself. It was not like her to enjoy the relaxation that came with vacation, but with the events in Limbo, helping to fix the mansion and trying to meander the complications that arose from the whole situation with Narcissa, Kerrigan was ready to take a break from training and such to lay around and do absolutely nothing. No doubt that would change in a few hours, but for the time being, it was all she could think about.

Her green eyes fell on the volleyball game that was going on, the redhead waving to those that she knew well. Normally she might have joined in, but she had a feeling that a certain blonde needed her close for now, and so that was where she was going to stay. Spreading her towel out an appropriate distance from her friends, the redhead used her sandals to hold down two of the corners, an attempt to keep the towel somewhat in place. Her white shirt came off, revealing her bikini body in all it's pale, lightly-freckled glory. She settled down onto the towel, pulling the sunblock from her bag and starting to apply it to her arms and chest. The corner of her eye caught sight of Jack, the redhead making sure that her gaze never fully landed on him as she tossed her hair over her shoulder to get the back of her neck.

"Feel free to lather up Forellen," she said with a nod towards the bottle on her towel, her eyes wandering to the surf.

User ImageOmega: Well, hallo.

Petra slid her long and shapely legs out of the taxi and delicately put the strap of her designer bag over her shoulder. The driver assisted bringing her luggage to the door without question since the tip she handed him was rather large. Dark brown eyes peered out from behind dark Armani sunglasses and her delicate chin nodded in approval of the house that Ms. Frost sent her to. Even though she had the credentials of a super model (which most assumed meant she was ill-mannered), she thanked the driver for his help and walked into the vacation house.

In a thick Russian accent, she whispered to herself as she opened the front door, "Da, definitely better than camping vith Logan." Yes, she was world traveled and pretty decent to adapting to different environments, but luxury beach house was a huge step up from tents with no showers. She may have been a trained student, but she still liked cleanliness.

There wasn't much activity in the house so she took her bags upstairs to the first empty room she found. Petra only knew a small bit about the Omega and Alpha teams. The Institute was fairly large (when it was still standing) and students often focused themselves and their training... not necessarily what the other X-Men were doing. The big dogs she knew about. Everybody else would be a surprise.

She heard somebody [Molly] walk down the hallway so she poked her head out of the door. Whoever it was whisked into their room pretty quickly. Petra pushed her sunglasses up to rest on the crown of her golden hair. Might as well find out who some of these folks were now rather than waiting.

As she walked, she ran her fingers along the adamantium cross she wore around her neck. She pulled the metal up around her fingers like she was playing with candle wax. When she got to the door, she reformed her necklace in it's usual form and knocked on Molly's door. Petra looked in and said in her best English, "Hallo, I am Petra Morozov. I do not mean to disturb you. Ms. Frost put me on team and I am looking for leader. Do you know vere Narcissa is?"

Omega: On the Beach User Image

Narcissa felt Evelyn’s eyes on her—Knew that the former Alpha leader would have smelled her coming. She remembered that, out of all things—That Evie had an exceptional sense of smell. The strange things that she remembered sometimes amused her. While certain things that she didn’t remember, annoyed the hell out of her.

She could have killed her… Back in Limbo. She could have killed Evelyn. Would have, if it weren’t for the fact that something about her reminded her that Belasco being dead was a good thing. Perhaps it was her scent… The way she said nothing at all, and just let her be the broken, tormented girl that couldn’t breathe… Because her head told her that she loved, the demon she had just run through—While her heart railed against it.

Her stomach was queasy was Kerrigan set up her towel, and the volley ball game continued… Thinking of Belasco always made her want to be physically ill.

She placed her hand in the sand, and picked up a fist full cupping it between her hands, letting light and heat flow—Extreme heat like that, and pressure easily turned sand into glass. Light flashed from between her fingertips for a few moments, and then she pressed her hands tighter, rolling what was becoming solid in between her palms.

A few moments later she let the light die down, and then held the glass until it cooled. Opening her hands, she saw a simply glass ball, almost complete round—Though there were strange cracks running through it. She set it down on the towel and picked up more sand, and tried again, turning to glance back up—Just as a girl she was unfamiliar with got out of a taxi and walked into their vacation house.

She was confused, but didn’t say anything…

~New Omega… I mentioned her on the plane. Her name is Petra…~

Emma’s voice echoed in her head, and sure enough, it brought back their conversation.

~You should pay better attention.~

‘You should stay out of my head.’

Narcissa heard nothing else after that, and assumed that the White Queen had bowed out—For the time being. She… Hated, having people in her head. Now, more than ever. Distracted though she was, she didn’t miss Kerrigan glance down the beach. Curious, she looked the same way and saw Jack. She wasn’t really familiar with him. He’d been brought into the Alpha fold while she was…Gone.

“Are we trying to be coy? Or are we pretending we don’t notice how muscle bound and salty goodness he is?”, Narcissa questioned her friend, tone amused, for one of the first times since she’d been back. She’d been sarcastic, and cruel--- But being amused was too close to being happy for her. "Alpha or not... He can make equally...Interesting... Copies of himself. So if you don't succeed with the first one... Try, try again."

Opening her hands again, this time the ball was perfect...Perfectly round, with no cracks. She set it down on Kerrigan's towel and picked up more sand.

Alpha: No Vacation for MeUser Image

Isabella didn’t mean to sound quite so callous with Gideon… But she knew that he took personal offense when someone attacked her, or purposefully hurt her. He could feel how upset she was… Had seen the things that Alek had done, through her. She hated it… Hated that nothing made him less self absorbed.

She had never wanted to change a person so badly before… Never wanted to take something from them. Never wanted to make them into something they weren’t. But when it came to Alek…She wanted him to revert. To change back… To be the boy, after his Narcissa loving phase—But before his fighting with Evelyn phase. He unfortunately had many, many phases—Many faces. And she didn’t know which one to trust.

“I would ignore it if I could…”
, she responded to him quietly, knowing deeply that this was, as always a problem that once and for all, needed fixing. She shouldn’t have to worry for his safety, or the safety of the others, the moment he left her eye sight. She felt Gideon swim up to her, but didn’t expect him to try and tickle her. She gasped and her body sank into the water as she let out a quiet shriek—One that was ‘quiet’ to her anyway. Those on the shore would probably hear it loud and clear.

“Mi rey…”, she whined as she twisted artfully out of his grasp and got a safe distance away. Gaining her breath and her ground, she gave him a playful evil eye—“You’ll be the death of me, really…Tickling? Really?”

She drew back her arms and laced them with sonic energy and shoved forward sending a wave in Gideon’s direction. She knew it wouldn’t hurt him, but it would be good to get him like he’d got her—Payback and all that.

She realized with a start that she was smiling—And that she had forgotten the trouble at hand. She followed the wave and found Gideon the moment after it crashed over him and wrapped her arms around his neck. “I don’t know what to do with him. You are on vacation. The others, are on vacation—But Narcissa and I don’t get vacations. Not when we have problems—Not when I have problems, like Alek.”
