I like official strategy guides because of the artwork and you get the actual details and pictures to go with what they're saying instead of some person who may not be able to explain what you need to be doing at that moment.

personally, I try my very hardest not to use guides.. but if i need to, then i get all the info i need online. i only buy a guide if i really love the game and want all the pretty pictures and such...
i used to use the guides, but when i did it, it didn't feel like i beat the game, that someone else had done it for me. now i avoid the guides and i feel a lot better when *I* beat the game...

I have always found that I like going through the game a few times on my own before reading anything. It is more fun that way. Besides, there is the glorious Internet with all the answers. There are also human beings I could talk to and compare notes with. 3nodding

The Panda Alchemist I personally like strategy guides. A lot of times people on the web are wrong, and unless you print the strategy guide, which uses a lot of ink, you have to either copy the info by hand, memorize it, or have your system in the vecinity. Also, if you like to be a perfectionist like me, guides can show you how to get to secret areas you didn't know existed, items you can't find or don't know about, and other helpful things. I'm not one of those people who goes by the book, though. I just use it to help me. It's more fun exploring on your own! ninja So agree cool
