Z laughed. "Hungry, aren't we?" She gestured to a waiter and ordered 5 bowls. "One for me, three for you, and one extra in case mystery man over here wants some. And yeah, I do live around here. I rent an apartment, right around the corner. I had a pretty decent job before the scientist started ******** with our lives."

Z shrugged. "I was the personal assistant to a journalist. I went there after school and on the weekends. It was actually a pretty cool job because he let me help out with some of his pieces. He actually gave me credit in the newspaper too." She smiled, but it soon became a scowl. "He was so sweet... We- he asked me out about a week before the Metas came. On our first date, a Meta chased us down and raped me. When the Meta was done, he killed him." Z's eyes welled with tears. "I-I miss him." She quickly pulled herself together. "You can see why I hate Metas."
Winter wiped a spot of oil from her cheek and sauntered out of the shop. Seeing a man push a girl, she made her way over to him. "Hey, that wasn't all too nice, was it?" She raised an eyebrow at him and tossed her white hair behind her back.
