Arcane flinched a bit when Buck touched his now very sore body and he moved. There was another large cracked and he yipped as the ice split under his paws. In a panic he headbutted Buck away from him sending him sliding in to a snow bank. The ice around Arcane split more and more as he tired to find a big enough piece to stand on. But it was to late and the poor pup when under.
(D: DRAMA...lol :3 this is to <3 and that would be super fun XD Arcane would be SO mad)

Buck wasn't prepared for the attack and flew easily to the bank. In moments he watching in horror as Arcane and the fur went under. "NOOOO!" He shouted and moved closer to the hole. "Arcane?! Oh please be ok." He wanted to jump in and find Arcane but Arcane shoved him out of the way on purpose so instead he took to glaring through the ice trying to find his mate periodically shouting Arcane's name.

Arcane felt like his whole body was frozen solid he struggled under the ice and finally broke free using his horns. He clawed at the side of the ice trying to get out and finally did, he had come out on an unbroken part of land. He gagged a few seconds before he coughed up quite a bit of water and stumbled over to Buck shivering hard.

Buck was so relieved to see Arcane alive but now he had to get Arcane dry and warm before he got sick again. He grumbled while looking around. "Stupid ice. Stupid cold." After a few moments he saw a tree that had a spot under it free of snow. "Come on Handsome let's go get you warm." He bent down and scooped Arcane onto his back and with a grunt carried him under the tree. "We may have to hold out here for an extra day to make sure you don't get sick again." He started grooming Arcane to get the extra water off his fur.
((Also Paws is up for the confrontation at Buck's place when we get the baskets. She guesses it could be this weekend if we can drag this out she could post here as Nema meets them at the den when they arrive LOL ))

Arcane shivered heavily and began to help with the grooming his whole chest hurt and he couldn't talk just yet either. He coughed a few more times and got up a bit more water. "ugn...s-stupid ice." He muttered his teeth chattering as he groomed. He shifted a bit letting Buck get this belly and even a few more privet places because he couldn't get to them.

Buck kept his dirty little thoughts to himself and concentrated on what was important, helping Arcane. "I agree. Don't worry the snow and ice has already melted around my den." After he finished helping Arcane get as dry as possible he snuggled up close to help him get warm.

Arcane shivered heavily and finally wiggled him self under Buck curling up heavily as he trembling. "w-w-we need ot m-move...or I-i'm going to fr-freeze!" He wined he could feel ice forming on his limbs and finally crawled out from under him and started walking.

Buck sighed but followed Arcane out. "It would have warmed up under there." He mumbled worried Arcane would push himself too hard and get sick again. "But if you're set on moving why not fly down to the base of the mountain and I'll run down as fast as I can. Without that fur I should make decent time and you wouldn't have to wait around too much."

Arcane thought a moment his shivering getting worse, He then flushed open his wings. "a-alright. careful not to trip." He took a running leap and flew in to the air, its was even colder like that but he knew it would be faster. He had loss the fur in the icy water much to his sadness.

Buck watched in awe as Arcane flew away. "BECAREFUL YOURSELF!" He shouted after Arcane and began to trot down the mountain. After letting his legs get used to that pace he ran a bit faster gradually increasing his speed til he was almost flying across the ground. It felt so refreshing to just let loose and run, he didn't do this often enough. Seeing a log up a head he easily jumped over it and gracefully landed on the other side kicking up a bit of dirt and snow. He glanced in the sky every once in a while making sure his course followed Arcane's.

Arcane landed in the based of the mountain and simply collapsed in to the snow almost completely frozen. He lay wining as his body shivered hard.

Buck saw Arcane land and quickened his pace, pushing himself past the pain and rushed to Arcane's side. "Arcane? you still awake?" Buck didn't wait for an answer just heaved Arcane on his back and continued their journey. He only had to make it farther into the trees where the temperatures were warmer. The pain in his limbs worsened with the added wait but he didn't care. "just hold on we're almost safe Handsome."

Arcane was just barely awake and groaned weakly feeling his body shivering and tense as he was carried along. It took a few moments for him to notice he was being carried and lovingly began to lick Buck in thanks.

Buck leaned into the licks but kept most of his focus on where they were going. Soon enough snow was covering less and less of the ground. They'd covered alot of distance in one day and Buck was feeling the effects. He slowed down and started looking for a spot dry and in the sun for Arcane. His eyes fell on a sunny patch next to a stream and headed straight for it. He slowly laid down and gently rolled so Arcane slipped fluidly to the ground. Using the last of his energy he waded into the stream and plucked a fish and brought it to Arcane. "Eat Handsome it'll help." And with that his legs got wobbly and he flopped to the ground his tongue hanging to the side.

Arcane had take a bit of a nap till they got to the sunny spot. He opened his eyes flinching as Buck hit the ground. He was shivering less and got up killing the fish Buck had caught for him. He then nuzzled the poor tired pup in to the sunny spot and ate half of the fish leaving the rest for him. "you okay?"
