Chakra stemmed from his toes to the wood. He sped up, rushing along the branch. His hands disconnected for a split second so they could both snap. Jumping up, and twisting his body, he chucked both of the roses that were formed in his hands when he snapped his fingers.
The tree stopped moving. Humbra fell to his knees at the base of the tree, holding himself up by placing both hands onto the two razor sharp roses that were embedded in its bark. A small bit of blood was coughed up from his lips, covering the two roses with a reddish-black bile.

::Myou had watched silently, examining the moves of the two as they went about. She nodded, murmering silently to herself. She had seen enough. Her decision had been made. Things should be able to progress nicely from here. However, there was another step to take. She needed to be able to groom a group to stay with her, because Myou couldn't always be around. The regulars would watch her, but she also wanted a group that would grow in talent with the young leader::
::she jumped from the tree, landing on all fours and then stood, walking calmly with her usual grin::
Ah, well you two have done very well
::her voice interupted what it was they were doing, though she didn't expect them to really stop::
My choice has been made and I beleive it to be a good one. Thank you.

Kaida lept down from the tree with Shojiro in her arms not wanting him to hurt himself in his sleep by falling and looked up to Myou. "Thank you, but what choice?...Um... You're welcome?" Kaida was confused, but she tended to Shojiro putting him in a more comfortable position. She would stay with him til he woke up later. It took a while for that jutsu to wear off, but at least it left him without damage.

Blood gurgled from his lips as he forced himself up. With all thought, and all mind, the Gennin forced his body and soul to get back up. His body twitched, and his shoulders shrugged up and down as he tried to pull himself up. Humbra's fingers bled from the roses that he had thrown against the tree.
Eventually he got up, with blood covering his clothing. His eyes stared down at the bark. He punched the tree with his right hand, making a shattering cracking sound. With punching the tree, he broke several bones in his right hand. Now, on his right hand, several long shadowy divets formed along the fingers.
He fell back onto his knees, and his head hit the tree- sending him backwards onto his back. His feet slid out from beneath him and sprawled. Humbra's eyes quickly closed so he could rest for a while.

Kuro had wandered for a while, somewhat in a daze. He had been laying down for so long that he felt as though he would fall asleep as he walked. It wasn't until the sun vanished that his senses finally became alert. He let out a sharp yelp as he noticed the tree in front of him, and he reacted so violently that he threw himself back rather than crash into it, falling on his back.
He kept his eyes open for a moment, staring up at the leaves hovering over him. He grunted before finally rolling onto his stomach and lifting himself up.
"Well, I'm fully awake now." He scratched the back of his head, then walked to the tree and leaned his back against it.
"So now what do I do..." Kuro didn't give a chance for boredom to set in. He slid down to sit on one of large exposed tree root and placed his hands into a horse seal.
"I wonder if I can make this tree grow... never tried this technique on something this big." A smirk etched into his face as his eyes closed to concentrate.

A pained look came upon Humbra's face. He tried to push himself up, but found that he fell in agony when he placed any weight on his right hand. A tear formed on the side of his face. Shadows laced his neck as he forced himself up by sliding his feet beneath his buttox.
He was on his knees, and lifted his left leg. The Gennin pushed himself up, feeling every inch of pain in both of head and hand. It didn't matter, though. Through pain, and training- one gets stronger. Both of his eyes stared at the bloodied up tree in front of himself.
Then, oddly enough, he saw another Kusa-ninja. The boy had placed his hand on a nearby tree that Humbra had trained with/against some eighteen odd hours previous. "Hello?"

Kuro's eyes suddenly shot open. Without any warning, two vines lashed out from the tree, stretching in the direction of the strange voice. The move was pure reflex, Kuro having no idea he was even doing it.

Humbra's left hand swished to his side to pluck his thrown rose from the bark of the tree. The Gennin quickly ducked, and cut one of the vines aimed at his chest area. He quickly slid his right foot back, dodging the second vine. As he shifted his weight his right hand twitched in emense pain.
When he twisted his headband shone and shined with the Kusagakure symbol.

Kuro flinched when he saw the vines. Still unaware he was doing anything, he thought for a moment that he was being attacked, but the moment he became fully conscious, the vines immediately fell to the ground.
"A he-headband?" Kuro stiffened his legs and stood.
"Wah, h-hey, are you all right?" Thoughts started running through Kuro's head. A headband? That meant this was a shinobi, a real shinobi. Altough the kid wasn't much older than him, he felt for a moment to show some sign of respect, but he was still startled by the vines. It took him a few seconds before he realized it was his jutsu that causes it.
"Yah, was that me? S-sorry, I haven't quite mastered that technique." He laughed nervously, not knowing what else to say. An apology seemed somewhat insincere at that point.
"Pardon me. My name is Kuro. I don't normally see people around this area."

"I don't see that many people here, either. It's why I train in this seclusion.." Humbra fell back onto his bottom, and quickly felt another shattering rampage of pain his right hand. His hand twitched, then became still. He looked at the new person, who was called Kuro, with his calm lime eyes. "I'm Hiyso Humbra."
He tossed the rose to the side, where it let the Gennin's blood drip off it. "Why are you here, anyways?"

Kuro couldn't take his eyes off the headband. An actual kusagakure headband. The boy had never seen one before. Humbra's question didn't hit him until several seconds after it was spoken.
"Me? I like to sleep in the grass. If you grow it to the right height, it can be as comfortable as a matress." Kuro stepped a little closer, noticing the blood on the rose. He dropped to his knees and ran his hand over the ground, then made the horse seal again. A plant sprang up almost immediately, and Kuro pulled it up by the roots. After examining it for a while, he crushed it in his hand, a faint glow of chakra peeking through the grooves in his fingers. When he opened his hand, all that was there was a thick gel.
"This aloe should numb the pain, and the wound shouldn't leave a scar when it heals."

"Oh." He looked up at the moon that hung over them, ignoring the gel in Kuro's hand. "The pain will make me a stronger ninja." The Gennin sighed, looking up at the black heavens. Shadows formed behind him, laying thickly on the northern wall of Kusagakure.
"So.. I'll have to refused your gel, Kuro-kun. And you can stop staring at my headband. If your able to create a plant technique that can attack someone without you telling it to, you should be at the Gennin rank quickly enough with some simple guidance."

Kuro simply blinked vacantly. Pain make you stronger? It wasn't a concept he understood. He shrugged and started to spread the aloe between his palms, rubbing over both his hands. There was no point in wasting it, and it made perfect lotion.
"Well, I was trying to make the tree grow. The vines were just a side-effect." Kuro stood back up, brushing the dirt from his knees. Guidance, he said. The word repeated itself in his head.
"It's not easy, being the first shinobi in a family." Kuro blurted out, as if he had thought it and not said it.
I'm even more awake than before, now. He grunted after turning around.

Shadows loomed beneath his eyes. "A side effect? That 'side effect' would make a rather deadly jutsu." Humbra sighed, and returned his gaze to the skies. "I'm not good at conversations."
