Chuunin - Genjutsu~ Harmonious Illusion - Moon Village - Sage - Cats Summoner

O/b]nce Miirror got away from his district, seeing as his father chased him all the way out from the market place, the child was able to catch his breath once more. He hated when he acted like a buffoon as he could clearly see that the shop needed some work but... Miirror did need to hit the training just as hard. The sooner he learns the Sage Mode the sooner Miirror will be able to accurately help and protect his village from any harm. Nodding to this, Miirror entered the large and magnificent structure of an Academy and headed indoors. Seeing as he was going to be doing nothing more than just Genjutsu and Ninjutsu Miirror decided it would be best if he found a large room that could accommodate the needs that those jutsu's required. Then again... if he did a higher leveled Ninjutsu he might just wreck the entire establishment. Thinking about breaking a... couple of rules, Miirror departed in rather... 'borrowed' the Academy Teachers office. With how sly the Tsukikage was, he didn't think the man would rather care if Miirror took the Academy Teachers training space for a while.

A big, spacious room that seemed like it could handle a bit of impact simply from the damage Miirror already saw the room had bore. Even more so, it had a pool of water which Miirror could exercise out his Suiton Jutsu's. In fact, the room seemed capable to hold and accommodate all the natural elements of jutsu." Perfect..." He said softly to himself as he began to think what was it that he should start beginning on now that he was in such an adequate training space.

There was one technique that he found rather fancy. It wasn't truly a Ninjutsu move though it was more of a tactical skill within fighting. All that was required was ninja wire, aim, and shuriken! Seeing as he didn't really own the proper shuriken that was required for the technique he believed a regular one would do just fine until he goes back to the shop and orders a Fuma Shuriken. Fishing into his weapons pocket, Miirror retrieved a ball of near to invisible ninja string, and some Shuriken. Sitting down, Miirror prepared to fix up this new method of fighting for him to utilize.
1/2 Soushuriken no Jutsu - Manipulate Shuriken Technique
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a good hour of tying and modifying, Miirror had completed his new weapon. By cutting a small grove in the inner portion of the Shuriken where one's finger usually loops into, Miirror slid the Ninja wire in the tight little space and tied it along the back. Yes, this would restrict the spinning of the weapon but it's purpose wasn't to gain momentum off of the initial throw. It was all a ploy to lower his opponents guard so that he could initiate it's true purpose. Picking up one and taking it for a test drive, Miirror slung his weapon out, after tying the thin wire around his lower arm and upper wrist, and let it pass a leaf barely grazing it. Though as Miirror felt the weapon reaching it's extent to how far it can go with the string, and utilizing those sharp eyes of his to keep his target on-lock, Miiror yanked back as that the weapon would split the leaf in half before moving to the side so that the Shuriken could slam into the wall behind him. This will be much more effective once I get some Fuma Shuriken. But until then, these should work out perfectly. Miirror thought to himself as he looked down at his newly created weapons.
After obtaining some new weapons and gaining a new skill, Miirror decided it was time to work on his Elementals again. He indeed had a lot of work to do with them and so little time to master them. Feeling something in his pocket back pocket as Miirror was about to sit down an ponder, he reached back and blinked as he pulled out a small scroll. Not really small but small enough that he could tell it was only one technique in contained on the parchment. Thinking it was probably his father who slipped this piece of paper in his back pocket, Miirror felt a small piece of writing drop in his lap as he cracked open the document.
Mii-rror-chan... This is a very good and useful Ninjutsu technique for us Raiton users. Learn it, and use it wisely... I'm sure it will fit well in your arsenal.
~Sun Ce
Miirror tilted his head as he wondered what type of jutsu his father gave him this time. Seeing as it wasn't a clan jutsu this time, he wondered if it was perhaps a high ranking Ninjutsu technique like the fabled Chidori that he heard so much about. Although upon looking at the parchment Miirror could tell it wasn't even close to that magnitude but indeed it had it's usefulness. Indeed, extreme usefulness for a battle against an overly strong opponent. Imagining in hitting the opponent in one area three of four times in one area would make them utterly useless in a fight. Even more so, it would make Miirror's job as a hopeful ANBU operative much easier when capturing foolish escaping individuals. Reading over how the technique is supposed to be done, Miirror would set himself up for later when he actually applies what he has read.
1/3
Dendou Kariyou no Jutsu (Electric Overdose Technique)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It seemed like quite an easy application of Raiton, it was simply just time consuming. It would take a good little moment in the battle to charge but one the power is gathered the opponent would be at nothing but within your whims. Holding out his left hand Miirror began to focus a decent amount of chakra to that limb, more specifically his hand, while simultaneously working on releasing his Raiton affinity. In which, due to the blood that ran thick in his veins, it didn't take but a few moments before his hands to mid-forearm was glowing lightly with an outline of light blue chakra while a violent arrray of electricity was created.
2/3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once Miirror gained control of the electricity, controlling its wild sparks into one concentrated power, Miirror squatted down and picked up a leaf with one hand.... feeling it's weight and testing how heavy it was before placing it back down. Then, utilizing his other hand, with a zap of the jutsu manifesting itself into the organism Miirror smiled in astonishment to see the plant leaning over. As if someone invisible was tugging it over. Amazing... He thought to himself.
Since Miirror had taken a rather high interest into Ninjutsu, he thought he should check out more of it's techniques. They were very deadly and extremely intriguing for him to have underneath his belt; for, not many people liked to take the knowledge of the elemental-less jutsu's. Once technique the knew was good was a jutsu that took the elements around you and utilized them to attack an opponent. Kawara Shuriken was he believed. When all of your projectiles are gone or even more so if you just don't feel like utilizing them, having this under your belt will keep a steady stream of projectiles launching at your opponent. After finalizing his decision, Miirror already knew what he needed to do but thankfully he already knew it. The handseals of the technique was frequently used by the ANBU when they run out of materials. After seeing them use it so many times, Miirror was quite sure he had that move underneath his belt.
1/3 Kawara Shuriken
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next technique was all one Miirror discovering what they did next but... Miirror had and idea. If he releases his chakra similar to what he does when he utilizes Suiton jutsu, Miirror would be able to lift the tiles off the floor and attack with them. Looking around at the tiles around him, Miirror clasped his hands together and weaved through the technique before sending out a solid burst of chakra like an invisible wave from around him.
2/3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This in fact made Miirrors thoughts and speculations true as he cvalled out,"Kawara Shuriken!"He exclaimed as the tiles around him were lifted up off the ground and flung at quite a good amount of force. Each slamming into the wall that Miirror stood in-front of. Smiling lightly brightly at this perfection, Miirror decided he'd take a small break. Not to leave but simply a break jutsu to rest a little as he walked over to the pol and splashed a little on his sweating face. Rather relishing in the cooling water before laying down a bit. Wanting to feel lazy for a little while before hitting it hard one more time and then calling it a night.
This time Miirror would go on the other side of the spectrum of his elements. Suiton. He had only learned a few of those techniques but he knew that he would need some more of this element if he wished to effectively combine it with his other element. There was one jutsu that he thought would be a very good and interesting technique for him to utilize... a jet stream of water. So many Suiton users have some form of spraying water at their opponents at different velocities and at different sets of power. If Miirror could also put this into his belt of skills he'll be able to increase the abilities he has already, and maximize the his Raiton effectiveness.
Moving to pool of water, so that if in fact he does the technique it won't make a mess, Miirror started on developing the jutsu. First was manipulating his Suiton affinity, which was a little bit harder since it was simply a secondary trait, and let it take over where his Raiton affinity once stood.
1/4 Taihouden
~~~~~~~~~~~
Once Miirror felt he concentrated one that enough he started to work on the hand-seals required. Like any jutsu, hand seals would help manipulate the chakra within him and create the jutsu he so desired. Thinking about the hand-seals the Suiton ANBU users did, knowing that their level of techniques would always be at least Chuunin or high, Miirror tried to copy would he could gather from his memory. Slowly developing and molding the technique slowly into his mind as his hands mimiced what he could remember.
2/4
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once Miirror felt comfortable with that, it now rested on the incantation. That was a little harder to remember because most of the ANBU ops had masks over their faces which would falter their voices a little. Breaking it down, Miirror knew that the word 'Suiton' had to be involved in the technique somewhere. In which, it will usually be placed in the front since most elemental techniques do. But then again... this jutsu was irregular, from what his father said as it was one of those iffy jutsu's that wouldn't require the word Suiton because the technique's incantation resembled the an adjective, Scratching his head a little Miirror finally had to pull back and actually look the jutsu up.
Moving to the books and shelves the Academy teachers had, Miirror scrounged up a Suiton book that had nearly advanced techniques. Though the one he wanted wasn't actually in there was something quite similar to it. Reading over the technique, hand-seals , and manipulation required, Miirror walked himself back over to the pool and concentrated.
3/4
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once he felt confident, Miirror's hands clasped together and he weaved through his hand-seals. Molding and controlling his chakra into what is needed and exclaimed as he inhaled,"Taihoudan!!!"As he exhaled, like Katon molding from one stomach, Miirror had instead water which shot out like a torrent from his mouth. Blasting at powerful stream of water at the pool which made a small bowl like feature from the force the water was spouted out. When Miirror ran out of breath the water halted and he gasped for air. That technique is amazing.... Image if an opponent was to be extremely close to me and I manage to get that technique off. Truly amazing! He thought to himself before clutching his stomach as he growled in agitated protest."Seems like I'm running low in the tank."Moving back to his items that he carried, Miirror placed them back into his satchel, even grabbing a few books from the Academy pertaining to Genjutsu and the mind of a Shinobi before departing the Academy Teacher's room and heading towards the food area. He was a bit hungry indeed and was ready to grab himself a bite to eat after good bit of training.

Returning back to the Academy after a filling and rejuvenating meal, Miirror was ready to get back to working on his Ninjutsu's. Hoping to cap off his abilities to the fullest before returning back the Land of Cat's with a better understanding of Ninjutsu and it's creation.

Instead of heading inside this time, Miirror moved towards the small pond that lay a little outside of the Academy for scenery purposes but Miirror was going to push the rules a little to learn this technique. Seeing as he needed an elemental Bushin he thought, why not just utilize a water bushin? With it's elemental status and Miirror's primary elemental status he could bring up quite a devastating combo if he gets his opponent in the right position. With the replacement of one sign and an addition of two to the original Bushin Clone technique, Miiror focused on the pond of water as he continued with the hand-seals.
1/2 Mizu: Bushin no Jutsu
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mizu:Bushin no Jutsu." Miirror said softly as he saw the water before him start to bubble up as if some chain reaction had occurred when he finished his last seal and emitted chakra from himself. The bubbles started to form a body which solidified and created a pretty solid representation of himself. Smiling and dismissing the jutsu, Miirror would put that technique into his stock of jutsu's as he still have a good little bit left in him. 2/2
AAfter learning that last technique Miirror felt... accomplished. Yes they were 'uber' strong techniques but they were good enough that they each could be stringed together. Something Miirror needed the most which was to string up combinations that would help him out in the long run. Now that he had a better, or rather, greater understanding of Ninjutsu he decided to cut his training for now and instead work on his ranking. Maybe even visit that rather creepy Kage and see what it would take to become a Jounin of the Moon. Sucking up his nerves, Miirror decided to re-visit the Kage and see what he had to do, to become a proud Jounin for the moon.
Rika was locked in a private chamber, scrolls of jutsu spread out everywhere near her. There were simply so many that she was allowed access to that she just couldn't decide on what to do first. She was a rarity, only a handful of people in the world could use more than three different elements and she could use them all. But that was because of Houkou, the Bijuu that was sealed inside of her.
With a grin, she picked up the scroll that was closest to her. It was a Katon one and it was filled with quite a few higher caliber jutsu. The first was appealing to her and it was listed as an A-rank jutsu, but it would require some intense reading and then application part was not going to be easy. She looked at the scroll with her hawkish eyes, the only part of her body that was visible, and analyzed every bit of the jutsu.
It was complicated and was easily one of the more difficult jutsu that she'd witnessed. But it was also a tricky jutsu, one that could make an unexpecting ninja simply move out of the way of the small fireball. But if they just sidestepped it, they'd be in for a rude awakening when the small fireball turned into a huge firestorm. The thought of catching a foolish ninja in a fiery blaze almost made her giggle.
She stepped out of her chamber in the grand library, five scrolls tucked into her pouch. She stepped up to the Keeper and smiled behind her mask, her alluring, yet commanding voice filled the air. "I'm going to borrow a few of these scrolls to further my learning. Unless you'd prefer that I attempt them in here?" With that, her gaze wandered around the massive walls covered in rare jutsu scrolls. The man shook his head frantically before replying that it was fine for her to walk out with them.
At times, she really enjoyed being feared by the common person...especially in a situation like this. Generally one was not allowed to take scrolls from the repository without the Mizukage's permission, but only a fool would deny a Jinchuriki they know nothing about. She was as feared as any missing-nin and very few people knew what she was really like. She'd never even went on a mission at this point, it was nigh on ridiculous how sheltered she was.
And on top of it all, she wasn't even put on a squad. A genin for five years without a squad, left to study on her own and hope that maybe one day she would be accepted. Either way, she was still loyal to her home and would die to protect her and her people. It was this loyalty that her father instilled in her, reminding her of her lineage as a possible heir to the Mizukage title. But at this point, it was too out of reach for her to even hope for...a genin not trusted with a squad or missions...or to even go to the exams.
She clenched her teeth behind her mask as she felt tears welling up in her eyes. She looked around to make sure that she was alone before she sank down to the ground and allowed her tears to flow. It was a rather depressing life for her, but at least she had family. She'd heard that many other Jinchuriki were shunned and generally hated by everyone, including their families. After a few moments, she felt her tears dry and her breathing return to normal. Now wasn't the time for her to be feeling sorry for herself, she had things to learn. She was at the training fields and didn't even realize it.
Setting herself, she did the hand seals as instructed in the scroll for the technique. After that, she held out her left hand and felt the fire warm it before she even saw the chakra molding. A second later, it was blazing bright as any fire she'd seen and she hurled it out into the field. For a moment, she thought she may have failed as the fireball died out. But the huge firestorm that followed let her know that she had done it perfectly.
Rika, satisfied that she learned that jutsu well enough to claim mastery, removed another scroll at random. It was Suiton, which had a few powerful skills listed inside of it. A few B-ranks and an A-rank were listed inside of it. She figured that she would learn two or three of them before moving on to another scroll. She enjoyed variety, especially since she had the options available to her.
She picked out the one she wanted, scowling at how complex the hand signs were for just a B-ranked jutsu. Hopefully it had enough power in it to actually be worthwhile to her, she didn't want to waste her time with the more useless techniques. She knew that she'd more likely fight stronger foes that would be expecting those weak techniques from a genin, but they'd be in for a rude awakening when they encountered what she had up her sleeves.
There seemed to be a string of about fifteen or so seals in this jutsu alone, which was a bit daunting for even her. But she stood there in the fields, initiating the hand signs. She stumbled once in the middle of them, cursing something foul and scolding herself for her carelessness. She made a second attempt and grinned as she nailed it perfectly. The signs were already in her memory, but this next time she needed to be serious.
The initiated them for the third, and what she had hoped to be the final time, with absolutely no luck at all. She felt her chakra surge and then leave, but nothing happened. With a curse of frustration, she snatched up the scroll and inspected it for what could have went wrong. She didn't even make it to the jutsu before she realized it and she could have hit herself for being so dense.
Water Style jutsu were one of the few that actually required the user to be near the source of the element. Earth users were almost always near the earth, it was everywhere. Fire, Lightning, and Air users used the air itself molded with their chakra to make their elements. Water was one of the more difficult to use any time, as quite a few jutsu required one to be near a large body of water. There was a river than ran through the training fields, that would hold the sufficient amount of water for this jutsu.
Rolling of the scroll, she stuffed it back into her pack and headed toward the river with a slow gait. There was no reason to rush, she had all day and plenty of chakra left to spend. When you were a genius, ninjutsu wasn't hard to learn when given proper instructions But one day, she knew she had to create her own techniques and those were generally much more difficult to do. She approached the river's edge, stepping lithely onto the surface while focusing the chakra to her feet.
It was a skill she mastered a long time ago, but hardly had need to use because she never received missions. But she just increased the difficulty of doing this jutsu by almost double, having to shift her concentration on her feet to her new jutsu as well. The last time she intended to the signs was now, as she initiated the large string of seals. As the final seal was made, she felt the pull of her chakra as the water surged from in front of her. A spiral of water rose up and the end of it resembled that of a serpent's head, which she directed to slam into one of the tree's off to the side.
The tree splintered as the mass of water collided with it, and it brought a satisfied smirk to her face. It was the second A-Ranked technique that she has managed to learn in less than an hour. It was definitely going to be a good day if she could keep this up, though she was beginning to feel a bit weary after it. A few more and she could rest easy for the night, having put a gratuitous amount of effort already.
With a grin of self-satisfaction, Rika removed the water scroll from her pouch. It took a few tries, since they seemed to have been jumbled up during her travel across the field. She inspected it and looked for what she needed inside of it, a technique that would allow her to actually breathe underwater. It was because she was planning a secret expedition, because she knew full well that she would not be allowed to leave the village if she asked. She had heard about an island that wasn't too far off that had many secrets that she would be overjoyed to be able to learn.
With her mind set on learning what she needed, she read the hand signs that were required to initiate the water breathing jutsu. They were childishly simple for her and she really doubted that anyone could have difficulty learning it. With a resigned sigh, she placed the scroll back into her satchel with a bored look behind her mask. She tapped the center of her forehead, the ting of the steel always amused her. It was a mask that he father had made for her when she was younger, it always seemed to fit her face perfectly. Maybe he just made a bunch of them and every time it started to even look a bit small, he replaced it while she slept?
Setting her satchel on the shore, she stood quietly on the water. Then she got serious, doing the three hand signs required to breathe underwater. With a prayer of hope, she dives headlong into the water and took a deep breath. The water filled her lungs and for a moment, she was worried that she hadn't done the jutsu properly. But it was almost like taking a drink of air, it refreshed her as well as quenched the thirst that she had been building up. She reached the bottom of the river, which was just about twelve feet at its deepest point, and grinned. It was freeing and she knew that she could now go after that which she desired.
With a grin of determination, Rika launched herself from the bottom of the river and broke the surface. Her chakra stopped being depleted, almost slapping herself in the forehead for being so stupid. Hand signs weren't even required to do the underwater breathing, she was looking at the wrong jutsu. With a shrug, she moved to the shore and climbed out of the water. Glancing at the still open scroll, she noted there was an academy ranked technique she could use. A singular hand sign, she did it and feel a slight tug at her chakra as she muttered the name.
The water lifted from her body and coalesced into an orb in front of her. By sheer will power, she made the orb boil from the inside out. It turned to pure steam and she grinned, releasing her hold on it as it drifted away. Rolling up the water scroll, she grabbed the next one and unfurled it. Raiton, the next element on her list to master. More A and B ranked jutsu filled the scroll, which made her grin. Powerful jutsu were what would turn the tide in any battle that she was in.
The signs for one particular jutsu on the page were considerably difficult, so she gave it an extra look before deciding on whether or not she should learn it. It was listed as an A-Rank jutsu, supposedly only a select few shinobi could actually pull it off. Chidori as it was listed, required considerable speed to even be able to use properly as a thrust attack. It wasn't what she was after, though it was a powerful technique. She didn't want to get into close range unless it was absolutely necessary, and this technique required one to charge into close range.
She skipped down to the next one on the scroll, her eyebrows bunching up in thought. The next wasn't much better, it added a similar property of the Chidori into a blade. She glanced down at the spring-triggered assassin's blade on her wrist, knowing the the range on it was not suitable for productive use of the jutsu. She huffed in frustration, that was two useless jutsu to her on this scroll in a row. She found one, however, that seemed promising.
She studied it and frowned again, but this time it was due to the difficulty of the jutsu. It made the other two look like chump-jutsu, in terms of difficulty and possible power. Gian, or False Darkness, was able to produce an elemental of sorts that fired a singular blast of black lightning at a foe. It was definitely one that would come in handy, it could be well timed for a collaboration attack as well due to its ability to be delayed.
The signs were a complicated mass of various poses that ranged across most of the spectrum. And the timing, as well as speed of the hands, was absolutely intense. Even a genius like her was going to have some serious difficulty doing this jutsu, but after she learned it the first time she would have no more troubles trying to do it in the future. Setting her face to stone behind the mask, she stood and stepped away from the scroll. She marked a target, designated as the tree beside the one that she blasted with the water previously.
Doing the signs, she messed up the first time she tried it. With a huff of frustration, she looked at the scroll again almost daring it to say something so she could destroy it. With another huff, she attempted it again. This time she got all of the signs correct, but she didn't do them fast enough to produce the desired effect. She cursed and stamped her foot in agitation, silently wondering why this jutsu was giving her such difficulty. Especially after the ease she had with the previous three.
Lightning seemed to be her enemy right now and she knew without a shadow of a doubt that she needed to conquer this jutsu or forever give up the hope of being able to master all of the elements' most powerful techniques. She was going to be the greatest kunoichi who had come from the Mist, hopefully even the greatest in all of the world. But that wasn't really her dream, to be the best in her village and make her people proud was her main concern and lifelong goal.
Giving it a final try before giving up the hope of learning the jutsu today, she set her mind on the tree and blocked everything out of her mind. There was no way she could fail, Raiton would not be her enemy any longer. She was its master, not the other way around and she could almost feel something pushing her to go further with her training. Like a helping hand of sorts, but she couldn't really tell what it was. She felt it many times before, but never this powerfully.
The signs and speed were perfect as a humanoid shape escaped from her back, composed of pure, black electricity. She felt a mental connection to it, as if it were merely an extension of her own body floating behind her. She narrowed her eyes and mentally commanded it to fire the lightning, at the same time pointing her finger at the tree. The spirit opened its mouth wide and a sinister crackling filled the air, her hair stood on end as it prepared its strike. Rather suddenly, the pitch black bolt of electricity exploded from the being's mouth and collided with the tree in a great shower of sparks and splinters. Satisfied, she felt the presence leave and she sank to the ground in exhaustion.
There was another side effect though, she noticed as she felt something new with her body. She had been taught when younger about building up a resistance to electricity, since it was a painful element to master. As such, she practiced it and never really got the hang of it because she never had any real lightning jutsu to use. A second one was the ability to generate a charge from her body and into a weapon. It was a wonderful ability to have, but she never cared to practice it. It seemed that unlocking that A Rank jutsu inside herself brought out those latent abilities that she trained.
About an hour passed and Rika lifted herself off the ground. She'd apparently passed out for a bit, which agitated her greatly. She had better things to do than just lay around and be lazy, there were still so many more jutsu that needed to be learned. Especially the next element on her hitlist; Fuuton. She picked up the green bound scroll and unrolled it, reading its contents and nodding along at some of the techniques listed.
They were more defensive, which annoyed her because she didn't care about having a great defense. The best defense is a great offense. She found one, however, that seemed to fit the bill of her caliber jutsu. It was another one of the few A-Ranked jutsu listed and she knew that there was much more to it than just doing the signs...as with every other A-Ranked jutsu.
This one was considerably less difficult than the Raiton technique, but more so than the Katon and Suiton techniques she'd previously learned. With a satisfied grin, she read over the proper signs and chakra molding required for her to take advantage of this powerful technique. But she found a second that was even better for her to learn, which made her smile all the larger.
This second technique was actually able to cause a slight amnesia in the target, as well as shred their skin. It was, to her, delightfully effective and definitely a technique worth having in her arsenal. And the best part was, if she timed everything perfectly, she could collaborate the jutsu with another one of her elements to cause added damage. The first and most logical being a Katon jutsu.
But as she was about to practice more, an enemy ninja appeared seemingly out of nowhere. It was more shocked that he infiltrated the village to this point, but she was far enough out that it was possible to break past the border patrols. His headband, it looked like it belonged to the Hidden Sound village...but there was a long scratch across the center of it.
"Who are you and what do you want?" She silently cursed to herself, she didn't know how strong this individual was going to be...but he had to be at least of the Chuunin rank to even be able to break through the patrols. She flexed the fingers in her left hand, the leather gauntlet creaking slightly with movement.
The enemy ninja only laughed quietly, "I'm after the Jinchuriki of the Mist, I was told that she was a weak genin and that she hadn't even been able to make contact with her Bijuu." The man grinned, tapping the side of his head. "I was told that I would know the Five-Tailed Jinchuriki when I saw her, she'd be covered head to toe in clothing. And guess what," he smiled, whispering the last part, "You fit the description." With that, the man rushed forward with a kunai in hand and Rika was a little shocked.
Not because he was rushing her or the fact that she was sporadically thrust into combat, no. She was shocked because someone actually believed her to be so weak that she couldn't defend herself. Well, now was the perfect time to show this ninja that she meant business and she wasn't going to back down just because he was higher rank than she was. With a graceful backflip, she was already forming her signs at a rapid pace.
"Wind Release: Chaos Theory, here's your ticket to hell." The air was building inside of her and she knew that she had to release it before she blew up. With a mighty gust, she blew out the air and it felt merely like a breeze had picked up. 'Odd, this jutsu is an A-Rank? Where is the power and amnesic reaction?' Her thoughts were going crazy at this point, the enemy ninja was drawing nearer to her.
Thinking quickly, she knew she had to push him back and fast. She initiated a rapid set of signs that she had merely glanced at earlier on one of the scrolls, she felt the surge of power rush forth from her. It moved throughout the entirety of her body until it reached the climax of her hands, forcing their way out in a massive, yet focused burst of electricity through the blade of her gauntlet. The force of the jutsu propelled the small blade out and towards her foe. It caught the enemy ninja square in the chest and blew him clear across the field.
But he was fine, which boggled her mind temporarily. How could he be so strong as to take that D-Ranked was one of the most powerful D-Ranked techniques around and there was no reason for him to be able to take the hit squarely and still keep coming. Maybe there was something a little different about him that she needed to watch for?
But that was when she realized that the wind had picked up severely and the enemy ninja realize that it was too late for him. A massive tornado erupted around him and his scream echoed out across the fields. Rika smiled behind her mask, the A-Ranked jutsu wasn't useless after all...it just had a charge up time that they failed to explain. But that was alright and she wasn't about to take any chances as she unleashed her Katon jutsu.
Rika formed the seals for the jutsu and threw it out into the center of the tornado. For a moment, everything died down until an explosion of light and heat radiated from the epicenter of the tornado and the enemy ninja's screams died down to nothing. She had finished him off, so she released the the jutsus and walked over to the smoking corpse. He was still alive, but only just barely. She grabbed his headband and tore it from his head, searching his body for any other evidence before she initiated the Blaze Eruption Jutsu again.
With that having been finished up, she stepped up to her scrolls and merely frowned. He didn't have any information on him, but his headband would be enough to satisfy the Mizukage. She was almost tempted to not say anything, but the unleashing of so many jutsu would have brought the area under the attention of quite a few of the village's ninja.
She rolled up the scroll and decided to take a final look at the last scroll in her possession before she made her report to the Mizukage. It was an earth scroll, as indicated by the brown wrapping around it. She unrolled it and searched its contents for a powerful A-ranked technique, the last one she'd be able to use today so she knew she had to get it right or she'd be quite displeased with herself. She demanded perfect and that's exactly what she was going to get from herself.
She turned to the smoldering corpse of the enemy ninja and initiated the jutsu, grinning in her pleased manner as the hand signs flew from her memory and the jutsu was nearing completion. At the end, the earth opened up below the bones of the dead shinobi and swallowed them whole. Then the hole closed itself, instantly crushing the body and she knew that it would easily kill an enemy ninja. With that she left the fields and returned the scrolls.
Rika arrived back at her training grounds, in reality just a shadow clone of her was there with a few scrolls she managed to liberate from the vaults. She looked to her right, nodding to the other Rika that was with her. Two shadow clones were sent to continue their training in a different field this time. Their progenitor focused on Ninjutsu during her time, but these two had completely different ideas in their head. One was going to focus on learning at least one genjutsu, the other was dedicated to advancing bukijutsu so that she wouldn't be useless in close combat.
The first removed a scroll of genjutsu from her hip satchel and began to look over it. There were quite a few listed and their application was simple enough, though she was far from a genjutsu specialist. These techniques would be considerably more difficult for her to master than the previous ninjutsu were. The other clone stood about ten feet away, looking right at her. They were in silence, preferring to keep themselves focused on what they were required to do.
The reason the original made a pair, rather than one, was for this situation. One could hardly practice genjutsu without a target and there were few in the village that would allow her to use them as a guinea pig. With a snap of the scroll, it rolled up and Rika set to work trying to cast a genjutsu on herself. The one focused on genjutsu then leaves, activating the jutsu with a set of hand seals.
At first, nothing really happened but that didn't last long. Swirling shadows appeared around the Bukijutsu Rika and their cloaks billowed about. She swung at them, but each time she connected with one, another appeared in its place. Then the unthinkable happened, there was a line of black chakra leaving her body and she could see the faint outline of a large creature. It had five tails and it roared silently to no avail, as it was siphoned from her body.
The Bukijutsu Rika dropped to her knees, tears dripping out of the bottom of the mask because she was losing Houkou. He was being ripped away from her before she even had the chance to impress it. Houkou was the only one that she could rely on fully, it was always with her so she was never alone. But to have him torn away, it was almost worse than death to her. Without him, she wouldn't be able to protect her village or fulfill her desires to one day become a strong shinobi.
She was paralyzed with clutching terror, it was her worst fears come to life. She lost Houkou, she failed her village, and now she was going to die once the shadows were finished taking Houkou from her. Wait. Shadows? How could shadows be taking something from her, and why couldn't she feel her touch to Houkou slipping away as they siphoned the great beast from her body? There was something seriously not right about the jutsu and she knew that it couldn't be real. Forming the seal, she released herself from the genjutsu and stared around for a long moment.
Her body was wracked with sobs, she could hardly catch her breath. But her mind was clear and now she wanted vengeance, even if it was upon herself. She couldn't believe that she would attack herself with their greatest fear, it was a dirty trick and it angered her immensely. It was just not right, one shouldn't attack themselves with their greatest fear so callously. Just because that one didn't experience it, that didn't mean that it didn't matter. The original was sure to feel its effects should the the jutsu be released.
Clenching her teeth, Bukijutsu Rika changed her mind entirely. She didn't care if the original wanted her to learn some Bukijutsu to further balance out her fighting style, this was going to be fixed. There was no way she was going to allow herself to be shown up by that genjutsu and she needed her vengeance. Clenching her teeth in rage, she unfurled a Katon scroll that she managed to acquire. Analyzing the scroll in a matter of seconds, she already memorized everything she needed to do the jutsu.
With a quick leap into the air, she surveyed the area until she spotted herself laughing behind a rock. Apparently she didn't realize that other Rika managed to break the genjutsu.Which was all the better for this Rika, as she formed the hand signs in rapid succession. She clenched her teeth and lifted her mask as she took a deep breath. The curse mark shifted along her features, never staying in one spot for took long. "Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu!" Her voice rang out, acquiring the attention of her other self in an instant.
Due to her almost precognitive ability as well as knowing how she would react in this situation, Rika unleashed the great fireball directly upon her clone. The fireball was intense, much greater than what the scroll said it would have been and she knew that the other clone hadn't made it. But that was fine, Rika didn't care as she landed on the ground with a smile. She then collected the scrolls to return them and then to dispel herself back to the original.
Rika collected five scrolls from the repository, grinning at the perplexed Keeper. "Mizukage's orders, I'm sure you understand." It was then that she remembered that she had forgotten to replace her mask, which she did before leaving. Luckily enough, he was the only one that actually saw her face. "I suggest that you forgot you ever saw me without my mask." She winked with one eye and vanished in a burst of mist.
At the fields, about twenty minutes later, she formed the signs and did her Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. There were suddenly three of the completely covered kunoichi standing in the field. Each bent down and picked up a scroll, reading it over and deciding which jutsu made the most sense to learn at this point. Their test, given to them by the Mizukage, was surely not going to be so easy as to where they walk through it. At least, she hoped not. And then she wondered about who her squad leader would be, as well as any other possible squad mates. The original was going to focus on a more difficult one while the others did lesser techniques.
The true Rika stared at the fire scroll in mild disbelief. The B-Ranked technique was similar to an A-Ranked one she read in one of the Raiton scrolls. But it had a few more uses than just combat, and that's why she wanted it. The second Rika, looked over her Raiton scroll with a grin. There was already one that she wanted to learn, so she set to memorizing it. The third Rika grumbled to herself because she had to learn Doton, but knew that it would help in the long run.
The signs for the Katon: Go were complicated and rather complex, which provided her mind with a challenge and brought a smile to her face. There was nothing like giving a genius a difficult problem. The Raiton Rika was already forming signs and unleashed a torrent of lightning from her hands. Its form was similar to that of a powerful bolt of lightning that looked dangerous. The Doton Rika was also in the process of doing signs, but didn't produce anything from her body. Instead, a tree in front of her was being sucked down into a large conical crater that had appeared. Satisfied, she undid the jutsu and the pair that finished picked up another pair of scrolls.
Rika initiated her own hand signs, her hands flying like lightning as she did the seals as fast as she could. That was the best way to get better and faster, push herself every chance she could. The second Rika picked up a Suiton scroll this time and looked it over. There wasn't a whole lot that interested her until she made it to one that looked promising. The third Rika felt as though she was getting the short end of the stick, first with earth and the second with air. But air was still better than earth in terms of devastation, so she knew that she had to make the best of it.
Rika felt the jutsu that she had been working on tug at her chakra, as it require as much as creating the shadow clones did, though it also cut her chakra into a third by using them. But the flames erupted around her left hand all the same, which brought a large smile to her masked face. The other two were also hard at work, doing hand signs for their prospected jutsu and succeeding as their abilities and chakra molded into powerful attacks.
The second Rika fired a large blast of water from her mouth, watching it punch a hole in the ground about five feet in diameter and it continued to tunnel down deeper. The third Rika created a whirlwind around the same hole that the second was attacking, which instantly repulsed the water stream off into another direction. The second Rika cut off her stream and merely laughed, before receiving a burning stab through the ribs and dispelling into a puff of smoke. The third, not paying attention, also fell pray to the original's flaming hand. The two were gone and their knowledge passed into the original, making her grin and release her own flame jutsu.
Rika had climbed out of bed with a massive headache, so she hurried and dressed in her full suit before grabbing some water from the tap. Three glasses later, she slipped on her mask and left her apartment for the repository. Collecting some scrolls, she didn't even bother to make herself known to the Keeper. He had to be used to it, by now. With a lightness to her steps that hadn't been seen in a while, she enjoyed herself on the cool day.
Luckily enough, the field was just behind the academy and the dojo, which meant she didn't have to go far to get a quiet spot to train. Besides, when anyone saw her coming, the just bolted like scared cats. Lifting her hands, she formed the necessary seals for a Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. Upon the creation of two more Rika, she did it again to make a total of four clones and one real Rika. They all five lifted a scroll and searched for something to learn.
Rika one picked up Suiton, scanning the scroll for a suitable attack jutsu. There weren't too many that did high damage, but there were plenty of support ones so she picked one of those. Rika two had Doton, running into a similar problem as Rika one. Earth style had a lot of support jutsu, so she decided to pick one of those as well. Rika three and four had fire and lightning respectively, running into no difficulties in their search. Rika five, having a Fuuton scroll, was agitated. She set the scroll aside and picked up a Null scroll instead.
The pack of Rika studied their scrolls intensely, despite the throbbing of their headaches. The hand signs that were required of them were intense, to say the very least and one mess up could prove disastrous. It was a good thing they were all genius class shinobi with talent for ninjutsu. Water, Earth, Fire, Lightning, and Null scrolls were lined in a row, each of their wielders lost in their thoughts.
All five Rika placed their scrolls on the ground and attempted their jutsu, the sound of their hands cutting through the air filled the cool morning. And at nearly the same time, all five of them stumped their hands together and cried out in pain. One mess up, shared by all five, was enough to agitate them all into furious growls as they picked up their scrolls to verify that they were indeed doing their jutsu correctly.
They all tried once more, after having set down their scrolls a second time. Their hands moved so quickly that the common genin would stop and stare, unable to fathom the speed and difficulty that was put into these jutsu. Each felt the familiar tug of their chakra being pulled out to fuel their jutsu, and they turned away from their scrolls to activate each ability.
The first Rika grinned as she unleashed the Suiton: Sensatsu Suishou - Death by a Thousand Flying Water Needles. With a stamp of her foot, water rose up in front of her and took the form of a thousand senbon made up of water. The second Rika frowned, unleashing her technique. Doton: Ganban Kyuu - Earth Plate Coffin was a jutsu specifically designed to destroy a non-doton user. The earth rose up and cracked apart, forming what seemed to be a large coffin. The third Rika used Katon: Haisekishou - Burning Ash Accumulation. A large cloud of ash burst forth from her mouth, covering the surrounding area in the hot material. With a click of her teeth, it ignited into a powerful explosion that rocked all five of them.
The fourth used Raiton: Hiraishin - Sparking Electric Needle. Grabbing a frog from the ground, she lifted her hand into the air and a bolt of lightning struck her. Using her chakra, she channeled the blast through her body and into the frog. It exploded in her hand and she winced in disgust. The final Rika bit her left thumb and slammed her palm into the ground, unleashing her jutsu. The Rashoumon was a powerful shield technique, said to be the ultimate defense of a previous Sannin. The first Rika fired the Water Needles into the Rashoumon, small dents appearing in the wall but otherwise not breaking it.
Rika released her jutsu then, taking in all of the knowledge that she had acquired from her clones. Her body was feeling rather like lead, as she bent down and collected her scrolls. Her vision blacked momentarily before she used her sheer willpower to stay awake and return the scrolls to where they belonged. With a satisfied smirk as she laid the scrolls on the Keeper's desk, a smirk that the man couldn't see, she walked out of the repository and headed elsewhere.
