Ken listened to her speak, laying down next to her and looking into her eyes when she finished. "Sosay...that's a noble nindo, but...sometimes you have to think of yourself before others. You have a duty to this village, and to me...a duty to stay alive." he said softly. "We're not out of choices yet. We'll find Ukiyo...but you need to heal first, and send others to find him." he said. He wiped the tears gently from her face.
"It's okay...you didn't hurt me badly..." he said softly. "I just have to ask...I know that you shouldn't abandon your villagers, but it was his choice to leave. Why are you so adamant to get him back that you nearly killed yourself in the process? If I wasn't there you would have bled out on the stones."

Ken nodded. "It's a good thing I trust you completely, and that I know you love me back, otherwise I would have thought something was going on between you two...but in all seriousness, I understand completely." he said sincerely. "I understand that this jewel has connected you now. In fact, he's the closest thing you'll have to say, a twin brother." he said, as many twins had a connection between them that let them feel similar things to what she described.
"But you have to learn to relax, and to shut these feelings out...or you're going to end up hurting yourself, and hurting others."

Ken smiled softly. "Just relax here...I'll be right here." he told her. Before the words even left his mouth properly, she was asleep. He chuckled, and kissed her tenderly on the lips. He'd stay next to her until she woke.

After a while, Ken found himself drifting off as well. He half-feared falling asleep, and having her run off again, but he made his point, he figured. she wouldn't run off again without telling him. He closed his eyes, and soon fell asleep next to her, rather tired himself.

A few hours later, Ken woke up. He found he woke before she did, and thankfully, Sosay was still there. He kissed her gently on the lips, then got up. He wrote a quick note on a piece of paper and left it on her chest. It told her he was still in the house, just preparing a surprise for her.

He went to the kitchen to prepare a quick breakfast for her, of eggs and toast, with a glass of water (they were out of anything else). He started back for his bedroom.

Ken walked into the room and smiled softly. "Try not to move too much...although you look a little better." he said. She wasn't as pale today. He handed her the tray and smiled, sitting on the bed with his body mostly turned toward her. "How are you feeling?" he asked. He knew she'd be sore and stiff, and likely still in pain. She had taken a beating, and made it worse with all her moving about yesterday.

"I say it because I care for you." Ken said with a laugh. "My mom says it because that's her job." he teased. She also cared for Sosay, being the Raikage and all.
"Hey, it's alright. You're fine now, so that's good." he told her. He smiled warmly and held out his hand. "Here, I'll go refill that if you want." he offered. She looked like she could probably use the water, and especially the food, to get her strength back.

Ken smiled warmly back at her and took the glass. He went to the kitchen to refill it, then came back to see her. He sat down on the edge of the bed and handed her the glass, noticing she'd taken a bite of the toast. "You should definitely try eating at least that...it'll get your strength back." he told her.

Ken laughed. "Alright, fair enough." he said. He didn't know the extent of her wounds...he just thought it had been a bad gash to her stomach. After a moment, he spoke.
"What happened?" he asked, meaning how she got her wound.
