I'm not vegetarian per se, but I don't like to eat meat. Ever since watching Earth Girl Arjuna (really good anime, everyone who hasn't seen it should see it) I can't seem to eat meat without feeling the same as she did when she tried to eat a burger (she saw in her minds eye the death of the cow. very sad indeed crying ). My mom bought me a Big Mac when she went to McDonalds one day (we've both been craving one, she's on a diet, and I'm trying to go semi-vegitarian until I get a package from PETA about it) and I had to eat it quickly so as to not think about the taste... still makes me sad, though.
I eat meat when I'm exceedingly hungry though. I do NOT starve. Ever.

I eat meat. I don't eat seafood because I get sick from most of itI perfere the vegie meat though since it tastes better than the real thing surpizingly. But like countless people have said, it is kinda pointless since you are killing something for your own concumption. That'sjust how life is.

I avoid red meat, and for the most part I avoid seafood (I don't mind some of it, but on the whole, I'd rather just steer clear). But yes, chicken (and occasionally turkey) is the meat I haven't yet parted with. sweatdrop

We Used every part of the Chicken (Except feet, beak and stuff of that nature) We even used the feathers! (My Family is Native American, go figure) I've never killed an animal Just for sport, or to just kill. I've always killed for food. Things that I cannot finish on , lets say a chicken, Usually end Up going to other animals or To a homeless person ^_^

i'm semi-veg. but i latley i've been feelin bad about eating fish. but....
fish is a good source of vitamin e and well, not every restraunt is going to have a vegitarain option. It makes my family happy that i still eat fish.
After i gave up gelitan though everyone in my family thinks i am crazy. lol.
I dont mind what other people eat, as long as they dont brag about what they eat. I dont think their's any diet that is "the one and only right way to eat".
Although it wouldnt hurt to have a vegitarian bf......
Peopel eating meat doesnt bother me. What bothers me is what kind of animals they eat.
I dont like it when people eat endangered or exotic animals simply becuase "they wanted to know what it tasted like"
I don' like it when people hunt "just for fun" even if non of the animal is wasted. THis is becuase i dont see a need for hunting, unless for survival.
I don't like musuems full of dead, stuffed animals. but i know the animals their probably died natuaraly so they might as well educate children, right?

I'm a vegetarian. The thought of eating flesh grossed me out completely, so I stopped eating meat. But I don't freak out if anyone else does.

I have been a vegetarian since the 6th grade and I can remember the exact moment in which I said I never wanted to eat meat again. We had to watch a video on the treatment of animals in the meat industry and it made a huge impact on me. Needless to say, my revoltion for meat outweighs any cravings I used to have.
For as long as I have practiced being a vegetatrian, I have dealt with all kinds of reactions. Mostly 'hippy' comments that I now tend to think of as just endearing. But I have found simply saying that I "don't like the taste of meat" is usually most effective in curbing people's words.
The downside to my vow is that I have developed an iron deficiency to the extent that I can't donate blood, which really bums me out. I take iron pills which has helped to some extent but until I have my own kitchen and no longer live in the dormitory setting I have to work around what I got.

I love you so much it hurts meAnd there's nothing I can doI have to eat meat due to a problem with my metabolism. If I turned into a vegetarian I would literally waste away and die. I love animals and I hate the thought that I'm devouring them but at the same time, my body would devour itself. neutral
On the other hand, I refuse to eat veal, eggs, or lamb. Killing a young animal bothers me a lot more than killing an adult one. And, yes, I know the eggs aren't fertilized but there's always that scary what-if question in my head that I can't get over. I want to hold you, my dear, forever and ever I love you so much it hurts me so

I first started my path to vegetarianism this summer to reduce my ecological foot print. It just grew from there.

I don't eat meat or any dairy.
It makes me sick when I eat it.
