I skipped all the way to the pavilion. I literally felt like I was walking on air. She walked up to the Hermes table. Everyone got up to get food she didn't know what there "dinner routines" were so she stayed behind watching. All of a sudden something bright orange flew and hit her in the face. "You might want to put that on", someone called. She unfolded the orange blob, it was a shirt with the words CAMP HALF BLOOD written on the front. I looked around for the person who had thrown it at me. I saw a blonde haired boy about seventeen walking up to me. "Sorry wasn't aiming for the face, I'm Aron son of Athena",he said holding his hand out to me. I grabbed it and shook it. "Nice to meet you I'm Emma daughter of...someone. "Haven't been claimed yet", he guessed. "Nope." "You will soon enough" "I certainly hope so", I said slipping on the shirt he gave me. "If you got any question just ask." "Actually",I answered, "How do I get food?". He laughed. "Come on I'll show you.

"After you get your food just take it over to the fire pit scrape a little off and say your parents name, or in your case say a silent pray to be claimed." Aron explained. We walked over to the fire together. "I'll go first", he said. He scraped a corner of his food off into the fire then said "Athena" I walked up behind him. The fire smelt WONDERFUL! Like everything wonderful in the world was combined in to one scent. "Smells good doesn't" Aron laughed. "Yeah", I said composing myself. I stood in front of the fire and scraped of my piece of what was probably steak. If you know me at all, I said in my mind to my mother, you know that it is a huge sacrifices to give ANYONE my meat. Please just claim me soon. I went and stood by Aron again. I had a sudden realization. "You're flirting with me aren't you." I said to Aron. "What?!?! No!!" "That's creepy your like seventeen and am like thirteen!! Eww!!" He just laughed and sat down at Athena's table. I slowly walked over to Hermes table As I sat down I had a great feeling. I had kissed a guy and and had a different one flirt with me within an hour. "YES!!", I yelled jumping out of my seat. Everyone glanced at me and started quietly laughing I sat down slowly. embarrassed but still incredibly happy.

I finally got to the camp store and got new clothes. After that I headed to pavillion for dinner. I saw Rex and sat down next to him.

Rex sees Emma sit. "So, I see one of the sons of Athena has taken a liking to you..." he said. "Lucky you" Rex continued with a slight smile.

I turn bright red. "Oh...you heard. That's embarrsing. He's like 17 and for all I know I could be Athena's kid so he would be my brother that would be weird."

"Well, age is just a number, as they say. But you may be right about Athena possibly being your mom. That'd be weird." Rex said with a laugh. "Guess it's best to wait until you're claimed." Then Rex pulled out some paper and started drawing absentmindedly.

"Well, I was thinking about the lake. So I decided I'll try and draw it from memory, but there's a bit too much going on here." Rex started to get up. "I think I'm gonna go for a swim, even though it's not my kind of thing" He said with an inviting smile.
