Name of Skill: Bullheaded
Posts to Learn: 10
Type: Passive Indirect
Description: 'Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me' is taken to extremes with this skill. You gain the ability to completely ignore others -nearly- at will. You don't care if they grab you or try to look powerful, they'll all die the same way.
Effect: You are completely immune to the effects of Taunt, Grapple, Pin, Brandish, and Reputation.
((the old definition said Taunt AND GRAPPLE. I assumed that it was meant that way and went from there))

hmm...the tip?
I go by If it is important to remember when using the skill, or the literal definition, it goes in Effect. If it is an 'application' of the skill or something that is 'good to know but unimportant' then it goes in Description
I want to do more, but I have a trip underground tomorrow. G'night everyone!

okay, I figured 10 was a bit little anyway, but then I thought 'well, nobody'll ever use Brandish or Reputation when they could attack...right?'

Maborofel hooray!...wait, micro-stories for descriptions are fine? Name of Skill: Back Slice Posts to Learn: 12 Type: Active Direct Description: It's always easier to stab them from the back than from the front...right? Get behind them to win...right? A quick roll, a swift stab, and a dead body come in succession...right? Rather than go for a frontal attack, you attempt to roll behind your enemy and deliver a powerful blow to their back. Effect: Parry and/or Counter take a -2 penalty against this attack. If you could Dodge your enemy's last attack, this skill can be used in the same post as Dodge. Back Slice can be used up to 2 times per battle with no penalty. Each use after the 2nd takes a -3 success penalty. ((I added the -3 penalty because fighters learn as they fight, and eventually they start to expect certain things, like this attack)) ((the 'if could dodge=add to dodge' part is there because you could possibly roll to avoid an attack...take it out if you'd like)) A minor change relating to the description - again, "descriptive" stuff goes in "description." Also clarified "in the same post as dodge," you could also use the term "stacking" for future reference. Other than that fine, I like your ingenuity. Really captures the spirit of the skills and combat in general.

Name of Skill: Call Wind
Posts to Learn: 5
Type: active direct
Description: Basic wind spell. This spell gives you the basic power to control the wind itself. You can use it to whip air at enemies and make their eyes water. Also good for putting out fires, making small waves, moving paper, lifting clothing, blowing on soup, and creating that perfect windswept hairdo.
Effect: Summons wind to whip around the area. Spell has no lasting effects and damage is minor. There is no limit on how many times it's used, but fighters may be annoyed.
----- Name of Skill: Dust Storm
Posts to Learn: 8
Type: active direct
Description: A little more advanced than call wind. This spell has the power to blind their enemy or to hide their own bodies behind a cloud of dust. Can you say cheating?
Effect: Summon a cloud of dust to hide yourself or blind your enemies. Not very powerful, but still useful. Need to roll the dice to use. Duration depends on number rolled. 1-2 nothing, 3-4 blind or hidden for 2 turns, 5-6 blind or hidden for 3 turns
Limits: Can be used 5 times a day. (no one needs to have to get glasses because of you)

((@mabo: not really the final idea, so i'm only using the basic concept. Which of course can be modified)) Name of Skill: Trampoline
Posts to Learn: 10
Type: PASSIVE DIRECT
Description: Boost yourself high into the air with a gust of wind! Then carefully fall back down to earth. Useful to get you out of those hole you dig yourself into, or play a GREAT game of leapfrog. It's like being a giant bunny, only not as cute (in most cases. Cuteness may vary)
Effect: This spell springs you into the air on a gust of wind, then gracefully helps you float down again on it's air current. No roll needed to perform. No limits on usage.
----- Name of Skill: Whispering Gale
Posts to Learn: 5
Type: PASSIVE DIRECT
Description: This spell work great in lieu of a phone! Send messages on the wind to a person of your choosing which only they can hear. Send secret messages to allies. Confess your love over long distances. Or just freak someone out with disembodied voices. This spell has many uses, but none to actually help in battle.
Effect: Another basic wing spell. Call upon the wing to send messages to the person of your choosing. Only the receiver can hear the message.
No limits on useage. No roll needed

(doing them two at a time so it's easier to write, check, and make fixes) Name of Skill: Gust
Posts to Learn: 12
Type: Active Direct
Description: This spell is a little more advanced in wind play. Whip wind at your opponents to knock them back or whip the wind at an item to deflect it away from you. A great way to show someone you mean business while also blasting the pants right off them (not really, results may vary) Show that dust bunny demon who's boss!
Effect: Call upon the wind to either knock back an opponent or to deflect an item away from hitting you
Power depends on rolling 1-2 wind does nothing, 3-4 wind knocks back slightly and barely deflects an item, making it graze or cut you still but avoiding major damage, 5-6 knocks them back HARD and completely deflects an item
Limits: Can be used 5 times per battle. Controlling wind is hard work! ----- Name of Skill: Levitation
Posts to Learn: 9
Type: PASSIVE DIRECT
Description: Clumsy on our feet are we? that's okay! cast this spell and you will never have a skinned knee again. Float up to 8 meters (about 26 feet) into the air. Also helpful for you daredevils out there because it helps you to resist from falling from a great height. So be crazy even higher now! (warning: do not attempt any crazy stunts while floating)
Effect: Float up to 8 meters (26 feet) in the air and resist falling from great heights.
No rolling needed. No limits (just be sure to cast it BEFORE falling)

Name of Skill: Fatal Blow
Posts to Learn: 17
Type: Active Direct
Description: Hard to fight when the wind's knocked out of you, isn't it? With this skill, you take advantage of an opening to hit an enemy hard. Do it right, and they'll be out of commission for a while. Just remember, don't try this on old people...just don't do it.
Effect: If partly successful, this skill Stuns the enemy for 1 turn. If completely successful, they are stunned for 3. This skill may only be used twice per battle.
Name of Skill: Break (Combat Style)
Posts to Learn: 15
Type: Active Direct/Indirect (depending on usage)
Description: 'Door? What door?' With you, there is no door...anymore. You have turned that shoulder (don't point that thing at me!) and rammed it into your obstacle, busting it into many tiny pieces. Unfortunately, your shoulder is taking the brunt of this force, so hitting a very solid or otherwise hazardous object isn't recommended.
Effect: Break can be used to physically destroy nearly any human-sized object, such as a door or small tree, or to cause severe damage to larger objects, such as a wall. When used this way, it requires no roll. When used on people, it has the effect of -forcefully- knocking them off their feet, causing even more damage if they hit something while flying.
((will we have a set definition for 'Stun'? I don't think we even have a definite one right now))

so it is:
Stun: A Stunned character cannot move, and is therefore incapable of combat. Most magicks may still be cast, however, as they require next to no movement to use. Any magic used while Stunned takes a -2 penalty.
(because it's hard to concentrate if you've been immobilized by, say, getting the wind knocked out of you)

Limits: Can only be used 3 times per battle. ----- Name of Skill: Catch the Wind
