Aira entered the club sat down next to James. "I guess so."

"Wait's over. Follow me." James said walking over to the bar and giving Avarice a hard slap on the back. "Well, look here. My fellow divorced man Dr. Rosenthal. What a pleasure seeing you here." As he talked he sat next to him at the bar and ordered a bottle of vodka. "I hear you got yourself in a huge fight with the old lady. Is that true?"

Aira nodded and followed James obidiently. She sat down next to James.

Avarice chuckled, running his finger along the rim of his glass. "Divorced? Technically, she and I are still married." Shrugging slightly, he added, "You could call it a...fight."

"Mate, when she is getting 'friendly' with guys like Edward and Salazar, you're divorced." James replied bluntly as he took the bottle from the bartender. "Now you see. I don't think it's right for a man and a woman to fight like that. This is the kind of thing that should be settled man to man." Fumbling around in his pockets he grabbed two tall shot glasses and put them on the bar. "Seeing as Edward is too much of a pansy to do it, how about you and I settle this like men do."

Aira turned to watch the two, getting ready for a drinking match, just as James has said.

"Like men." Avarice chuckled, but pushed aside his glass of wine and took the offered shot glass. "The rules of this game?" The room had become suspiciously silent...

As James spoke he poured the vodka into the glasses. "The rules are simple. I take a shot, you take a shot. First one of us to vomit or pass out loses." Raising his glass in the air he smirked and said. "But first, a toast. To your wife. The most sought after, and received, woman in Haven."

Avarice raised his glasses and nodded. "To Kirai." His skin broke out in goosebumps and he had the familiar feeling of arms encircling his shoulders. However, no one had touched him. Aside from James. Shaking the feeling, he said, "Whenever you're ready, my friend."

James gave Aira a wink before turning back to Avarice. "Lets begin." He replied heartily, taking the first shot. As the alcohol went down he gave a slight twitch and nothing more. "Bartender needs to get a better supply."

Aira only sat there, confused after James winked at her. Who is going to win, I wonder? She thought to herself.

Avarice swallowed his shot, placing the glass against the counter for his refill. He seldom drank, but instinct and the proposition of inflicting pain upon Eddy's honor, without him present, was too good to pass up. Although the possibility of him winning wasn't very likely.

James filled the glasses once more. "Wait, I got a CD I keep just for moments like these." He reached into his other pocket, grabbed the CD, and gave it to the bartender. "Play this. It gets me pumped." The bartender just shrugged and popped it in. 'Gonna fly now' by Bill Conti started blaring over the club, a definite change from what usually played here. "Round two doc." James said taking another shot. Still, it had little effect on him.
((BTW That song = Rocky theme))

Aira stiffled a laugh after listening to the song. She had heard it many times before and it was interesting to know that people still play it to get "pumped".
