 WAVEPELTA loner by heart . . .

Wavepelt watched in horror as Serpent and the bird plummeted. He gasped and looked at the bush, then bit off the the leaves, and carried them close to where it looked they were going to fall. He looked up, he couldn't get any more leaves and they were too close. He looked at Serpent "jump off onto the leaves" he yelled and dove, then landed in the leaves, ready to save Serpent.
(please I really think he needs to get hurt, and a dislocated paw isn't too bad right?)

(( i guess thats not too bad. alright. smile ))
[Serpentpaw was full of fear, she could practicably see her life flashing before her eyes. she squeezed her eyes shut as they fell.] Is this it? Serpentpaw dosent know how she is going to get out of THIS one! [Then she heard a voice, calling out to her. her eyes shot open as she saw Wavepelt, waiting to catch her as she fell. She felt bravery grow inside of her as her eyes wached him. She used her long, serpent like fangs to rip at the hawk's wing to damage it and then released it, free falling in the air. quickly the ground came closer and closer, but she was not afraid, she knew Wavepelt would catch her.
The hawk helplessly tried to fly with it's newly broken wing but instead of flying continued to fall. it hit the pile of leaves with a thud and quickly scrambled to it's feet, screeching with rage!]

Wavepelt was still on his paws slightly When Serpent fell on his back. He hit the ground and got the wind knocked out of him. He looked at his his right front paw, it hurt worse then the rest, but it didn't look any worse. He slowly got to his paws, and looked at the hawk "are you okay Serpent?" He asked looking away from the hawk for a fatal second.

[She quickly looked up into his eyes, a shocked expression still on her pretty little face.] "Serpentpaw was just about to ask you the same thing! She didnt land on you too hard did she?" [Her voice was full of concern. suddenly her expression changed from kind and caring to alert and vicious!] "Wavepelt look out!" [The hawk was running towards them slashing it's sharp beak at them. Serpent tackled the bird and they both went rolling, both desperately trying to get the upper hand. Both of them slashing viciously at each others flesh!]

Wavepelt frowned and turned around, to see the scene with Serpent and the hawk. He gasped and ran over to the two, then leaped at two. His claws made their mark on one of the bird's wings. But then he jumped back to dodge one of the claws, and a piercing pain shot from his paw through his entire body. He screeched in pain and fell on the ground, then looked at the awkward position his paw was in. Then he saw the gleam in the bird's eye, and Wavepelt realized he was a now defensless target.

"WAVEPELT!!!!" [She screamed in terror as she saw him fall to the ground, a look of pain on his face. Everything seemed to move in slow motion for Serpentpaw. The hawk sensed Wavepelt's defenselessness and immediately bounded towards him.] "NO!"[She screamed as she chased after it, desperate to get there first! Her claws snared it's tail, pulling it back.] "Serpent is your opponent! You will fight SERPENT!!" [She let out a horrifying battle cry as her claws dragged it close and climbed from its tail up it's back. the hawk continued to move forward slowly, Serpentpaw dug her claws into the ground, slowing it even more.]

Wavepelt gasped as the hawk started moving towards him. He tried to get up, but only got the same horrid jolt of pain and screamed. He tried scrambling away, but he felt like he was getting nowhere. He saw his life flash before his eyes, and he suddenly felt like crying his eyes out. No Starclan no, I can't join you yet, there's so much else I want to live for!

[Serpentpaw begain to eye it's neck] If only Serpentpaw could reach it, but Serpentpaw DARE not let go to jump for it, not even for a second, it ids too close to Wavepelt! Think Serpent THINK!
[a burst of energy and rage flooded through Serpentpaw as her tail knocked the bird off its feet like a child tripes over a jump rope. Her tail smaked it's eyes like a whip, temprarally blinding it as she knocked it on it's back and dug her extrordenarally long fangs deep ito its neck. the hawk screeched and thrashed, scratching her up as it struggled. Serpntpaw ignored the pain until the hawk finally stopped moving and breathed it's last breath. She unsheathed her fangs from its flesh, blood dripping from her mouth. slowly her war like expression softened into her more common, caring look. she ran up to Wavepelt.] "Wavepelt! are you ok!? your not hurt are you? Serpentpaw is so sorry! She didnt know her plan would back fire like that! She is so very sorry!" [Her eyes filed with tears as she looked at his injured paw.]

All Wavepelt did was smile at the bird for a while.. Then he looked at Serpent, the smile still on his face. "Y-you did it Serpent, you killed the hawk. Now everyone's safe" he winced as another jolt of pain shot through his leg. He layed down and looked at the sky "I'm, just going to take a nap" he closed his eyes.

[Serpentpaw stared at him with disbelief. she turned to look at the lifeless bird that lay still on the ground.] "Serpentpaw did dint she..." [she then turned back to Wavepelt and returned the smile. she was so worried about Wavepelt she hardly noticed what she had done.] "We did it Wavepelt! Serpentpaw could never have done this without your help!" [When he laid down for a nap she looked at him with bewilderment.] How could he take a nap after all that!? Amazing... "But Wavepelt, shouldent we_" [She stopped, she was about to say go back to Breezeclan but then looked down at his paw.] He really probably should rest before walking... [She then turned her attention to the bush she had hidden her little cousin in. she padded up to the bush and peered er head in.] "Its safe to come out now Moon, the hawk cant hurt you now."

Wavepelt suddenly opened his eyes and he looked at Serpent with a frown. "You know, maybe we should get back to camp right away. I really think the medecine cat needs to look at my paw and your scratches". He looked at Moon "besides, we should get your cousin food right away, but, I need sone help getting there".

[Serpentpaw immediately turned her attention to Wavepelt.] "Serpentpaw agrees!" [ Serpent walked over and picked up the lifeless hawk and then carried it over to him. She placed it at his paws and looked up with loving eyes.] "Serpentpaw thinks you deserve to take the hawk back. She wants to thank you for saving her life. Serpentpaw will Carrie Moon and you can lean against Serpentpaw." [She turned and lovingly picked up Moon in her still bloodied jaws then returned to Wavepelt and started to rub up against his side.]

Wavepelt smiled weakly at Serpent, trying to hide his pain. He tried moving his paw, but winced in pain. He shook his head and slowly got to his 3 good paws. Then he leaned against Serpent and picked up the bird. He started walking back to the clan with Serpent.

[Serpentpaw tried to smile beck even though she was carrying a kit. The both of them walked back to camp. She could tell Wavepelt was in pain by the way he would limp against her. she tried her best to walk slow to keep him at a more comfortable pace.] "murhumphur." (Dont worry, we are almost there.)
