Dr. Miller gauntlet holder I guess the bets off then? With the flick of a small lever, Alexia turned the saftey off for him before dissapearing ound a corner for some personal business but was back after just a few minutes. Taking up the same aim as before, Ian looked at the line of five bottles sitting on the ledge and prepared to pull the trigger. When thundering over head flew The Icharus. Lowering the gun immediatly, Ian gaped up at the massive hovership as it sped over the small canyon. "What the F**K is that thing. Ok, spill it. Who are you people, and what do you want with me?" Wentk base leader Ex-Sgt. Delany Oh, s**t. "All personel to their stations. Be ready for one hell of a fight 'cos we got a Wk battle ship coming in fast. If any of you believe in a god, now's the time to pray to them. The message was called out to all the rebels inside the Wentk base, giving the signal for effectivly a full on war in the space of a city block. Bringing up the image of the rapidly closing ship, his face paled and he began to prey for the first time in his life. This wasn't going to be a war. It would be a massacre. Flicking on the comms system again his clearly shaken voice sounded once more. "Ladies and gentlemen. This is Sgt. Delany giving the order to evacuate through the tunnles. I repeat..."

((I'm assuming Lex is in at the Namvin base, different from Wendt. I'm also assuming Kyne can't hear Delany's orders unless the base initiates communication with him.))
"You need to calm down," Kyne said to Alex. He almost rolled his eyes in response to Ian's outburst. Obviously, they were all surprised at the appearance of the Icharus, and none of them had ever mentioned that they wanted Dr. Miller, although Kyne and Alex were interested in gaining the doctor's support. "Dr. Miller, we all need to get out of here. That is a WK battleship, and the man on that ship will kill anyone he suspects of being a rebel... and being in a place rumored to have a rebel base isn't really the best place to be now, is it?"
Kyne turned. "Heh. Never a boring day, hmm." The rebel leader, though surprised by the appearrance of the Icharus, kept his calm. It wouldn't have been very like him to freak out, and it wouldn't have been a very "leaderly" act. "Let's get out of here, guys, and quickly."

Alexia ShadowWolf This is turning out to be one hell of a day...
"It's never boring with the likes of us." Alex answered with a small chuckle, as she calmed down. She then looked at Ian and shook her head after his little episode. "I.m surprised neither Fi or Ian figured that we're Rebels yet..." She thought before grabbing the weapons she had hidden, strapping her swords to her back. They would most likely need more than what they had at the moment. If anyone asked, she'd say she lived in the canyon in a cave not far from we they were. "Kyne's right let's get the hell outta here..."

Fiona Lineweaver ”FI” hmm... Bad times, lets skedaddle children~ razz " Nice, it's been a while since I seen one of those.... I guess you're right Kyne, or should I say commander?" Said FI cheekily, It was true that she had only just figured out the true nature of Kyne and alexia, and rebels were not perticularly high on her list of people to meet but FI didn't have time to be picky with who her company was, she just needed to move. Looking up as the Icharus as it dissapeared behind a rocky outcrop and beyond FI felt a sudden urge to fight flow through her veins, the surge of adrenaline pulsed with a hot tint into her muscles. " Right, I say we get back to Juggs and hide out there for a while, It is bomb proof after all..." Feeling a little twitchy she started to walk out of the sandy gorge hoping that the others would tag along. It wasn't too far to Juggs, but the walk was over pretty open ground and the feeling of defenselessness was creeping in. Without realising FI started to play around with her 'gauntlet', fiddling with the delicate chains on her fingers out of restless habit.

Arik Diedrich ”The Tyrant” BOOM! Holding his scorching hot mug of tea in hand Arik brought the Icharus to a stop above the little village of Wentk next to a small cliff. " Aim at the designated target and ready to fire on my command" He said. Ariks voice was a stern tone, laced with malice as. slowly the large battleship turned to face the cliff side on so that 85% of the guns could see the target, deep within the cliff face was the Wentk outpost and all that was visible to the naked eye was the occasional hole in rock, or a few scattered huts on the top. they had done a good job of converting the ancient dwellings. " I want that cliff reduced to a gently slope..." " Yes Sir!" " Fire at will! BOOM!!" The command was loud and clear as most of the ships guns all started firing, just as quickly the cliff face gave way and the rock crumbled back with each ear shattering explosion. Blasting the terrain into an unrecognizable form was fun, but it was not the main attraction, the 'clean up' was what the more seasoned strike members really enjoyed as they got to take out any survivors and particularly hardy groups of rebels, although Arik himself didn't join in, he preferred to man a remote machine turret. " Right, Strike team prepare to disembark and get this village squeaky clean for me. Exa, you'll be in charge of the ground operations. Don't let me down now~." Markus ”Generic grunt #1/Field Commander” Markus scanned the ground for tracks leading from the unmarked APC, and to his luck, he found some... Then another three, It looked like one of them wasn't used to walking without disturbing the ground alot. " Looks like we might have three EX military, or at least trained and one civilian. Be on your toes men." He said looking back at the group. Grant was busy scanning the APC and Dave was standing guard. The rest were still in the W.K. APC waiting for their orders. " Right, Dave you follow the tracks from the outside. Grant, Ignore the scanning just now, Man the turret and keep an eye out for trouble, but don't shoot to kill... We need someone alive to interrogate." He ordered before getting into the APC himself. Dave ”Heavy grunt” Dave ran in front of the APC, which wasn't tiring due to the suit, but a little unnerving having that amount of power following on silent running right up your a**. Setting his scanner visor to highlight the civilian tracks Dave led the group out of the town. " Stop!" He shouted into his communicator and raised his hand. " The tracks dispersed here, I suggest we spread out and take cover..." " Understood.. Troops, you heard him. Find some cover and stay put until I give the order." Said Markus to the group who efficiently found various rocks and dunes to cover with. Grant ”Generic grunt #2” " Commander... I can detect some faint heart signals in the distance, although from here it really could be anything" Said Grant over the radio, there were three or four at least, though it was hard to tell through the sandy desert air, the grit in the wind seemed to distort the signals. " Understood, keep sharp men...."

Dr. Miller gauntlet holder Escape~ It was clearly a good idea to get out of the area, as Kyne had suggested. One that was backed up by Fi quickly after. Commander? Wai-Nooo...He couldn't be. THE commander of the Rebels? Explains so much really. "Ok. I'm all for getting out of here. What do you think the ship was for?" Seconds after Ian stopped speaking – BOOM! A mettalic clatter was heard as Ian dropped the gun and sprinted up the hill at max speed in fear. Reaching the top of the hill he immediatly went straight for the APC that was in sight. The wrong one which had brought with it five Wk soldiers to aprehend the people in the gorge. It was only as he was slammed into the ground roughly by gloved hands that he realised that he was in a lot of danger. ((Now you have to rescue me. Gauntlet time~. But leave one for me.))

As if they hadn't dropped enough subtle and not-so-subtle hints already...
Kyne smiled mysteriously at Fiona as he followed her. "Your choice." As an S.A.L. member, he was sure she would be a military asset to the team.
Dr. Miller, on the other hand, did not seem to have potential at first glance, as was evidenced by his reaction to the boom. However, Kyne wasn't so dense as to deny the doctor's potential. While Kyne had flinched at the sound, the doctor had run away. "Miller, not that way!" But his words fell on deaf ears.
The enemy was here, and they had the doctor, who could be a useful ally, and not simply because he was a gauntlet user. "Fi, I'd appreciate your cooperation here. What he left unsaid but implied was that it was completely up to her choice. "Alex, we should get the good doctor away from them." After all, Dr. Miller had acted rather suspiciously running toward the enemy. Who knew if the enemy would kill the man on the spot?
"Lex, give us a closer look at who's there. Other than that, no need for support. We'll be fine here. Keep an eye on that battleship, and if it does anything, be sure you record it," Kyne spoke into his headset. There wasn't enough time to type the message this time around. And no, he wasn't crazy. This would be a good skirmish for them, depending on what the enemy had.
Of course, Kyne had no idea that the Icharus was in the process of bombing the heck out of Wendt, especially with the noise in the canyon area now. But he did have plans on how to annoy Arik more.
((Assuming Wendt and Namvin are far enough that they wouldn't hear each other getting bombed. ...eh, slightly disorganized post.))

Alexia ShadowWolf "Are you ******** serious?"
Alexia didn't flinch as she heard the explosion. She was used to them, since she was pretty much an expert with explosives. Alex tossed Kyne and Fi the guns she had gotten from the base, before picking up the one Ian had dropped placing it in her bag. "I'm going in."She said before she drew her swords and sprinted up the hill to take down Ian's captors. She saw the APC and smirked as she charged the nearest one, Markus.
Lex Moore ~ The Guard Dog "There's an APC, sir. One of them is heavily loaded and The Icharus won't leave my sight." Lex repiled as he watched what was going on on the monitors in front of him. "It looks like Arik is bombing the s**t out of Wentk..."

Exa Winds ~ Wheee... finally, some action!
Exa watched silently as Arik and the rest of the battleship demolished the structure of the rebel base hidden in the ridge. She got excited when Arik told her she was in charge of ground operations. Defying all logic, she would be going down without any heavy armor and would be a wildly katana slashing girl. "Tee hee," Exa laughed darkly. "I won't."
The butler bowed slightly and charged out of Arik's office to join the rest of the strike team, some of which stared at her for her lack of armor. "What?" she growled. "Let's go have some fun and kill people!" ...because that totally sounded intelligent. "Spread out in teams of two." Leading the way, she jumped down first.
((Exa isn't going to go and smack Delany, is she?))

((I don't think this is where Delany will die off. Small fight scene, he gets taken prisoner.)) Wentk base leader Ex-Sgt. Delany Delany had been the last into the tunnles, and was spared as the collapsed onto most of the forces inside them. Pushing the slab of rubble that had ended on top of his body, he scrambled out of the tunnle and into the sunlight. The Icarus was hovering lower to let the soldiers off from the lowest point, and many were spilling out already. Each armed with their personal favourite weapon, they mass of troops quickly began flushing out any rebels that they found before swiftly killing them. Lifting his rifle, Delany slipped back into the half sunk tunnel that he had emerged from. Flicking his visor to night vision mode he aimed at where the enemy would appear from.

Joseph Wilkens Duck and Cover
Seph felt the Icarus shake as it decimated the village, the smell of sulfur and powder wafting up to the hanger bay. He closed his eyes, he could barely make out the distinct sound of gunfire from the fight outside. This wasn’t his first mission, but this was his first against armed rebels. Nervous, he shifted his gear on his back as his platoon leader yelled at everyone to “Givem Hell!” The landing signal began screaming to life, he knew he had only moments before he was pitched out into the battle outside. He lifted his lucky necklace from his shirt, kissed it, and made a quick prayer. Anxiously he grabbed his gear and gun, and jumped out of the Icarus with the rest of his platoon. The bright light of the sun blinded him, making him falter just outside of the hanger bay. Suddenly five or six grunts in front of him were consecutively shot down by an unseen sniper. Without even thinking, Seph returned fire, missed, and dashed to the cover of a nearby imploded building.

Dave ”Heavy grunt” Markus ”Generic grunt #1/Field Commander” DOUBLE TEAM!Dave responded immediately to Alex's movement and blocked her attack on Markus. The solid armour covering his forearm that took the brunt of the swords, stopping Alex in her tracks. " Really, it's an old saying. Don't bring a knife to a gun fight!!" Shouted Dave into her face. Just as Dave had finished Markus raised his rifle and fired through his comrades legs at Alex's feet. " Really... Was that ever going to work? This isn't a cartoon you know. Don't take us lightly..." Markus laughed. Someone in combat armour was basically a human sized tank in the ways of offence and defence, the disadvantage is that against others in suits all advantages are negated, and since all armies have suits they were more a necessity now. Markus fired another burst at her feet to make sure Alex got the message. " Dave, seize her for questioning!" " Copy." Dave responded immediately and moved towards Alex to confine her. Grant ”Generic grunt #2” " Hmmf, what the hell kinda' training are these rebels even getting. That was pathetic..." Grant murmured to himself. He gave the signal for the other three to harden their positions and keep a sharp eye for any further resistance. Rich was manning the APC controls whilst the weapons went to auto-assault, if it moved and wasn't WK... It was dead. Sven and Murry on the other hand had moved silently between the jagged rocks that littered the area to get a better picture of the battle field. " Markus, I've found something on the ridge." Messaged Murry crouching behind an old and battered CCTV camera. " Rig it, I want to see everything that they see." Replied Markus quietly. Fiona Lineweaver ”FI” Oh man... " Wai..." Started FI as Alex ran up out of the gorge and out of sight, then realized that by shouting after, she could potentially reveal her position. She looked at Kyne and nodded, true she didn't chose sides, but these people weren't bad, and the doctor was a civilian, why should he get hurt for something the rebels and the W.K. have stirred up. " Yeah, I'll help... But, this doesn't mean I'll be joining your ranks. By the way, do you have ear plugs on you?" She knew her place, a freelancer, though the way things were going FI had a feeling it would only be a matter of time before she had to choose a side. " We'll need to find their positions. Can you ask that Lex guy to have a look? 'Cause I'm not for sticking my head over there. Who knows how many there is, there's a pretty good chance we're out numbered though. Man what a time to not have my armour..." She trailed off as she tried to concentrate on the area and look fr potential positions.

((For some reason, I thought Lex said there were five...)) Kyne Balderon Well, this is nothing new... "Ah, wait...." Kyne called after Alex, but she was gone before he could stop her. Not good. The going in alone part without knowing exactly who was there. He was hoping she would have at least waited for Lex's reply, but he knew she had tricks up her sleeve. Nevertheless, they were going to have to act quickly and just like the WK soldiers, they would want to leave one alive for questioning, optimally the leader of the group. He nodded at Fiona. "Of course. That is your decision."The rebel commander slightly frowned when Lex mentioned Arik's actions. The Wendt base would not be able to sustain a heavy onslaught by the Icharus. "Thanks, Lex. Don't worry. We'll get them." The rebels' response to the Wendt attack... Kyne had an idea of a publicity stunt. Delaney, I wish you and your men well. Unfortunately, there was no way to send them help directly without revealing locations of some of the other bases. The more pressing problem was that he could not seem to contact Delaney either. He didn't like it, but there wasn't much he could do. "Let the other bases around the area be on the lookout for Wendt's men." That gave Lex and the men with Lex three things to do. One: Keep an eye on the situation in the canyon. Two: Record and track the Icharus and Wendt situation. Three: Contact the other bases to take in any refugees from Wendt. He turned back to Fiona. "Five men. One heavily loaded. An APC." Kyne unhooked his pistol, not that it would do too much damage against armor, but it was good for distractions. He had no intention of using his gauntlet unless it was absolutely necessary. Kyne looked at her, slightly confused when she asked about earplugs. "The headset should do the trick. Kyne tapped the headset. "What's on your mind?" Guerilla warfare was one of Kyne's specialties. Alex and himself knowing the lay of the canyon helped. However, Dr. Miller and Fiona did not know the terrain. He pulled Fiona behind a large rock. They couldn't just stand still out there in the open as sitting ducks, but they would have to go back up Alex soon. One against five, with one heavily armored and an APC wasn't quite fair. ((Alright. Didn't want to have him say/do too much without letting you guys post. Edited again.))

Alexia ShadowWolf "I really need to stop being so reckless..."
Alexia dodged Markus's attacks and smirked after the last shot he fired at her feet. Even though a few of the shots grazed her legs, she took a running start at Dave and jumped high, landing on Dave's shoulders. She swiftly pulled a homemade bomb from her bag and stuck it on his helmet. She then leapt away, detenating the bomb as she hit the ground with a thud, covering her head and ears. BOOM.
Lex Moore No one ******** with my camera and gets away with it...
"Will do sir. It looks like most of them are with the APC and our little Alex is trying to eliminate the guy in armor... So watch out for flying debris." Lex replied as he sent the word out and kept an eye on the current stiuations in the canyon and Wendt. Before long a little alarm went off. "Shiiiiiiit! Two of them ******** with one of the cameras on the ridge."
