Once more the Shinx didnt look up, until he noticed the shadow falling over him was...bigger...than before.
Slowly those blue eyes lifted up.
He evolved! That b*****d!
The electric type got somewhat pissy as he realized the height difference, anger building until...he noticed...the Lopunny's head.
Volkner's lip quivered, he made small chocking sounds and then his eyes started to twitch to no avail.
He couldnt hold in the laughter.
The Shinx rolled, giggling hysterically at the sight of the Lopunny.
"YOUR BUTT FLUFF MOVED ONTO YOUR HEAD!"
This will be the only time Volkner uses the phrase 'butt fluff'.

Getting understandably enraged over the insult, Flint quickly hopped back up to his feet. Face lit up red with anger (Finely matching his fro~) as he whipped the Shinx off the ground by the scruff of his neck and held the cackling feline to face height with himself."Just wanted to make sure you know we're pretty damn up high right now." He spat, proceeding by dangling Volkner near the small cliff's edge.

Volkner yowled at being lifted up and proceeded to slash madly with his claws, a kitten suspended over water.
"What are you doing-OMG YOUR CRAZY! PUMMEDOWN! PUMMEDOWN!*"
The Shinx flailed and clawed in panic.
"HELP! HELP! THE DERRANGED AFRO-PUNNY HAS MEEEE!"
*Translation: Put me down!

"Gladly~" Flint stated under his breath with a smirk; casually walking over to the cliff's edge before letting go of his grip on the Shinx. He was going to get the bugger never to mention his appearance again by whatever means. Lucky for Volkner that didn't mean death as of yet; the Lopunny lithely using an Agility attack to beat his teammate to the ground below and landing in just enough time to easily catch the lightweight feline before he met an unfortunate end. After the much more dangerous fall was averted, Flint had no problem with dropping his friend once again in return for the now bleeding scratches that were recently inflicted upon him moments ago.

The pitched cat yowl that escaped the Shinx before had no match against the one that was ripped from his throat when Flint dropped him.
Thank Arceus it was a bluff, but the second the Lopunny reappeared to catch him Volkner latched onto him with those kitty claws.
And he was not letting go for s**t.
The Shinx glanced around, twitching madly and his fur frizzed out with static.
This static made its way to Flint as well, possibly causing more hair issues than they would have when he was a Buneary.

"You done now?" Flint said with a light chuckle. The joy of watching Volkner panic drowning out the pain of razor sharp claws digging into him. Unfortunately for the Lopunny he had yet to realize the electrical charge running over all of his fur, definitely making the bad-hair-day situation all the more horrid.

The Shinx gave a growl of annoyance before an idea made him grin and he leapt from Flint's arms onto the poofy afro.
"You know what, nevermind. I do like your evolution. Its very cozy up here."
He kneaded Flint's head and walked in a circle before settling down, as though seriously inclined to nap.

After he groaned muffled growl of his own, Flint let out a heavy sigh, giving into the fact that he was now going to be a continuous piece of furniture."Isn't this where we first met...?" He let his mind trail off, carefully settling himself down on the ground so not to disturb his resting partner.

He'd already noticd that before, goodness Flint hadnt gotten any quicker with evolution.

"Think I'm just trying to get back on the topic that we've came so far since then...And maybe you should consider looking as us as a whole, as a team, more now. Flint ranted off in a tone that was strangely light compared to how the conversation was flowing earlier.

The Shinx paused for a moment before leaping off of Flint's head and onto the ground.
He sat there without answering, idly cleaning his paws with quick licks from his tongue before turning to the rabbit.
"I already do." He stated simply. "Else I wouldnt have saved you from that Hyper Beam."

"Fine, I'll give you that, but think about it. We also had two little kids there that were our responsibility; what if something happened to either of them and we couldn't do jack-s**t about it?" Flint continued, simply trying to convey his mindset onto the Shinx."I'll live with the fact you don't want to be a Luxio, but at least when we're of rank can you at least try for a Luxray?"

Volkner grumbled.
As much as he hated to admit it, Flint was right. He couldnt defend those two little buggers if they were crushing his tiny little Shinx form in their hugs.
Maylene was almost at the point where she could tote him around like a doll and dont even mention Auron.
That kid could toss him like a football with those pincers of his.
"Alright. I suppose I can deal with being a Luxray."
He wouldnt even compromise is Flint had pressed the Luxio issue.

Glad that's settled... Flint sighed out, rising to his feet."I think Ima' head in for the night. It's cold as hell out here and I need to make sure that poor babysitter you got is still alive." He stated before starting to walk back towards the guild. Unsure if Volkner was planning on staying out there longer or not.

For the second time that day, Volkner found himself once more in the plains.
The latest escapade at the guild was enough to make him seriously reconsider his 'never becoming a Luxio' philosophy.
The Shinx sat down and heaved a sigh.
"Little kitty, all alooonnne~" A voice sang and Volkner whirled around in a panic.
"What? Whose there?"
"Those nasty sun guilders! How they shamed me! That doggy-woggy and Manectric~ But I see, I see a kitty with Sun guild flesh! Perhaps I can soothe my pains by killing you?"
Oh hell it was that creeper-a** Mightyena guy.
The Shinx hissed, barring his teeth and let loose a Discharge into the surrounding area.
A laugh resounded and seconds later Volkner found himself thrown onto the ground with a large paw pinning him.
The cat mewled and lashed out with his claws to no avail.
Kujo gave his hyena laugh and clamped his teeth down on the Shinx's arm to sling him across the ground.
Volkner went sliding with an 'Oomph', forcing his legs under him only to be grabbed by his tail and slung into the air, but he didnt hit the ground this time. He landed right into Kujo's open maw and the Mightyena bit down.
The Shinx howled, hooking his claws into the side of the dog's face, unprotected by his mask to escape but Kujo held tight and clamped down harder.
A slew of blood escaped the small electric cat's mouth, splattering across the rocky stones below.
'Oh s**t, oh man, I should have listened...listened...to Flint when...he told me to...evolve...'
