kaiyo-chan kemu I just started reading manga currently. So far I have read: - Gunslinger Girl Volumes 1 and 2 - Hot Gimmick Volume 1 - Soul to Seol Volume 1 - X Day Volumes 1 and 2 Has anyone heard of these mangas? Hot Gimmick is the best! whee (I just read volume 9.) I loved X-Day. Sadly, it is only two volumes long. eek crying Don't get me wrong, I think one-shots can be just as awesome as a long series, but X-Day didn't really feel over. Kare Kano is awesome. I have to say I find the anime very impressive, as well. Up until the last few episodes it is really just like watching the manga. 3nodding Of course, the manga's storyline continues on far past the anime. As for Shojo Beat, mine came from B.Dalton, but you can probably find it just about anywhere that carries manga. Specifically Borders/Walden's seems to have some kind of business agreement with Viz, so they may be a little more likely to carry it. 3nodding I thought that they were still working on the 3rd volume.. isn't it a fairly new manga? Huh. But remember, I new to this manga stuff xd . Anyways, thanks for telling where to get Shojo Jump. And yeah, judging by the first volume of Hot Gimmick, I think It's going to be one of my favorites. 3nodding

Welcome to the guild, Lilith! blaugh Thank you, and yes they are manga, but some mangas are animes and they animes stray away from their oringinal plot and then it makes them hard to talk about, if one person say the anime and another read the manga they could get into a huge fight about what happend in the story and I could sell tickets to it!!! twisted (sorry that whole thing just came out of nowhere)

I've been waiting ages for that! xd I just finished reading FY: GK. It's not bad, and it's a lot more up my alley than the original FY. I also finished reading Full Moon which was great as well.

Is this Full Moon wo Sagashite? My friend forced me to watch one episode of the anime once. The art is gorgeous, but as for the story, I'd have to say I thought it was a little clichee, lovey-dovey, blarg. redface

sweatdrop Sorry, there were a lot of typos in there!!! I fixed it up if you'd like to see the correct thought going through my mind at that moment!!!....If my thoughts are ever correct that is.... sweatdrop Thank you, and yes they are manga, but some mangas are animes and there are some animes that stray away from their oringinal plot line and then it makes them hard to talk about. I personally love the art as well, and even though the plot was a little clichee, I still find that I really like it. ^_^

A lot of anime's stray from the manga's or cut themselves off before the actual manga finishes. It's wonderful to see one story take another route as well. (Although I really was disturbed by the X movie compared to the series, the series was so much better and accurate...)

But I feel alot of movies off an anime series are always less accurate, because it's taking a stray from a stray making it, some times, completely far fetched

Fruits Basket also ends without the rest of the manga addition as well. Making in both cases the manga worth buying as well.
