Well, I have it on PS1. I would just like a graphical update. That and right now, I kinda can't take RPGs on big consoles, aside from Persona. Cause where you spend so many hours running around and leveling up--level grinding... I don't mind it, but usually I like to do that kind of stuff while I'm watching something on TV, which usually means multitasking on a handheld.

Well, I'm just saying, these days, with most RPGs, especially old school ones with text dialogue, I usually like to double up doing something else while I'm playing them. Movies, even if it's on the laptop, or TV, or hanging out at a friend's place, while they play THEIR video games. That's my RPG time.

That's not true. I can sit through a 30 minute cinematic in Metal Gear Solid and it would have my complete undivided attention. Hell, I beat Heavy Rain in one sitting, that's 10 hours of non-stop gaming. It's just that I don't like comitting too much time to grinding in an RPG, cause it kinda gets boring. Running around, leveling up for hours on end. Having to listen to the same battle music start up over and over. I love RPGs, but it does get tedious. Especially because half the time, with games like Final Fantasy 7 and 8, for example, once the battle starts, all I'm doing is holding the action button, so it auto-selects Attack, and the characters simply attack the enemy. So it's running around, holding the action button for a few minutes, clicking through the "You've earned so many EXP" screens and then running around some more, and just keep doing that for over an hour... I need something interesting to do meanwhile.

It's really not. Especially now, TV has become such a powerful medium. The shows they play nowadays have better production quality, better stories and better acting than most Hollywood movies out there.

Ah. Well, movies are an option too. Sometimes I put in a movie, or a TV show that I own on DVD, and watch that while I level grind.

Ah... I have a collection of about 100, I'd say. None of them Harry Potter. And about 5 TV shows which I own more than 2 seasons of. So I got plenty of stuff to watch.

Last time I checked, Anime DVDs were way more overpriced than TV shows. You can buy most seasons of Scrubs for $20 each. In any case, you can always watch Anime on the side while level grinding then. Something dubbed so you don't have to keep a constant eye on the subtitles.
