Chris smiled but could not shake a feeling that something was off. Ok Jimmy, I'm sure if you go play lunch will be along soon. Is there anything special you would like to have?" he asked as he somehow lifted him, Chris was stronger than he looked. Chris carried him to the penned in area with the other boys who looked confused as he was placed in with them.
.............…….....
Plato was the first to crawl up to him. He looked puzzled at him, seeing through the mystic vale around him. "um... Hi.... I pwato... And you awe big..."

Jim shook his head as he was carried to the play area. He opened his book and was going to begin reading when he was interrupted by a statement. Quote: "um... Hi.... I pwato... And you awe big..." He closed the book and noticed the baby. This is better than nothing. He thought to himself. "I used to be an..." He pause realizing the baby probably wouldn't know what an archeologist was. A person like Indiana Jones. but then a mean girl put a spell on me.Of course he wasn't sure if the baby would understand "Indiana Jones" but it was the easiest way to explain archeologist. He set the book aside, though in easy reach as he didn't want it accidentally damaged. Books were one of the few things keeping his all too fragile sanity intact.

Christoph hummed to himself as he watched the tots interact. He tied an apron around his waist and got to cooking. He hummed a little abbey park as he cut and cooked raw chicken. He had formula and baby food for the younger ones, and was making chicken nuggets for the older ones.
..............…………
Plato looked puzzled and shrugged "ok... Wann play blocks? S' my favorite." He smiled briefly and hopefully

Jim shrugged his shoulders. "O.K."
He picked up the book, still protective of it. "Could you show me where they are? I'm kind of new here." Then he smiled. "Maybe I could show you some of the places I've been."
Of course he was sure the lunch making adult would see his structures as something else, but the baby seemed to be able to see through the enchantment, so he might be able to get his point across.

Plato smiled and crawled to the toybox and pulled out the blocks. He smiled "here they awe, see?" Plato smiled as they played

Jim nodded. "I see."
He looked at the assortment of blocks and carefully chose the one that would work best for his first project.
He carefully stacked the blocks then admired his creation.
He frowned a bit and then added some green yarn to simulate vines. "This is a Mayan Temple. It was one of my first digs."
He sat down and contemplated which structure he should model next, then he felt the call of nature.
For a brief second he glanced longingly at the restroom marked "mens" but remembered the part of his curse that he couldn't remove his diaper himself. He gave a resigned sigh and let nature take it's course. Wrinkling his nose at the vile smell and frowning at the new heaviness and sagginess about his waist.

Jim frowned and hoped Plato had gotten a good look at his structure before it had been destroyed. He considered reciprocating, but that would be infantile and beneath him.
Instead he began building a model of a pyramid. "And this an Egyptian Pyramid." He figured ignoring the petty bully would be the best way to go.

He smiled and used the spare blocks to make a little tower next to it. He glanced at his book every now and then He wiggled and fidgeted as he placed block upon block, listening in ti jims explaining.

"That's a nice tower your building there."
However his messy diaper was beginning to become irritating. He wondered what to do with his book while he was being changed and decided that potential slobber was better than almost certain poop. "Plato could you make sure nothing happens to my book please?" he asked as he stood up and awkardly waddled over to the edge of the play area. "Excuse me but my diaper's kind of full."
He wondered how the man would hear his request as he waited, watching his book protectively.

Plato nodded and took it, holding it to his chest. He stood next to Jim as he asked.
................
Chris smiled as he turned "hold on champ. Everyone gets changed after lunch. Ok?" he then turned to Plato "where did you get that book p? Can I please see it?" he said as Plato sheepishly complied "thank you. Lunch is almost done, needs to cool. Just wait for it ok?" he put a pacifier in each of their mouths and ruffled jims hair

Jim nodded. Then the man took the book he had been planning on reading. He was about to protest when a pacifier was shoved in his mouth.
Upset about the loss of his book, Jim began sucking on the pacifier angrily. He had long ago discovered it was best to go along with how he was treated by other adults, but that didn't mean he had to be happy about it.

Plato wimpered. "s sowwy Jim... I t tried..." he trailed off and sat mopeing next to his tower.
Chris sighed and sat waiting for it to cool as be read his new rented book. He saw the look on jimmys face and sighed, he would give it back later.

"Dat's OTay." Jim said struggling to speak around the pacifier. He walked back with Plato.
"OO..." He took the pacifier out of his mouth before starting again. "You couldn't really do anything about that. Do you want to go back to blocks?"
He suggested hoping to cheer up the closest thing he had to a friend in this miserable existence. He stuck the pacifier back in his mouth and sucked on it as he watched Plato with concern.
