Alan's post, right here is very well done, I think. Coming across as corruptible. Very nice, very well thought out. ^_^

What would you like? Fire? Pointy rock? Other pointy rock?

To my guild. This is extremely sappy. I'm emotional, don't judge me! All For YouFinally I figured out, but it took a long, long time.
Now there's a turn about, maybe 'cause I'm tryin'
There's been times I'm so confusedDown my road will it lead to youJust can't turn and walk away
It's hard to say what it is I see in you Wonder if I'll always be with you Words can't say it I can't do enough to prove it's all for you.I thought I'd seen it all 'cause it's been a long, long time.
Oh bothered that we'll trip and fall wonderin' if I'm alive.
There's been times I'm so confusedDown my road will it lead to youJust can't turn and walk away
It's hard to say what it is I see in you Wonder if I'll always be with you Words can't say it I can't do enough to prove it's all for you.Rain comes pouring down falling from blue skies. Words give out a sound, coming from your eyes
Finally I figured out, but it took a long, long time.
Oh, now there's a turn about, maybe 'cause I'm tryin'
There's been times I'm so confusedDown my road will it lead to youJust can't turn and walk away
It's hard to say what it is I see in you Wonder if I'll always be with you Words can't say it I can't do enough to prove it's all for you.
Well it's hard to say what it is I see in you Wonder if I'll always be with you Words can't say it I can't do enough to prove it's all for you.Whoa Hard to say Hard to say
It's all for you.

Am I reading this wrong, or is this post so far in the gray area it may as well be breaking the rule about lecherous actions? Unless it is a precursor to an action the Replica may take later in the RP, aside from showing that Azrael is driven largely by lust (which previous posts have displayed without stepping into gray areas) the post exists only to show Bal-Hur and Azrael getting it on using an Unversed snake as a toy. Which immediately strikes me as inappropriate.

OKAY, FOR THE QUEENS QUEST, I HAVE SOMETHING I WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS.
I have talked with a few of you, and have gotten a general agreement that our time in the Queen's Quest is becoming father and father into combat focus, past where a lot of us are comfortable.
This is definitely true for me. I noticed a pattern in my off time, of every time I come back, I'm all excited for a while, and then after 4, 5, even 6 consecutive fights, I'm always just sick of it, and my inspiration leaves me.
So here's my proposal.
Let's all focus harder on our out of combat time we're given. Let's all go for some more discussions, character development, talking with important NPCs.
I know it hasn't worked so far, I know some of us will feel lost. But I feel like every time we've had down time, it's cause MAYBE as many as 3 of us wanted it, and when only they took advantage of it, everyone else wanted to do something, and thus we had some big combat happen.
I want a GROUP EFFORT. Let's get 5 or more of us all working towards having some out of combat things happen. As I said, lets get some discussions. Let's get some debates. Lets get some meetings with important NPCs. Let's get something that's not combat, and balance that WITH the combat, not AGAINST the combat. Let's give everyone a chance.
If you're in, say it here, let's all talk about what worries we have, and let's see if we can get this working.
Please.

For the record, I completely agree with the above post.
We try as often as we can to give you guys free time between battles to actually have some discussion, some interaction, et cetera. The problem, however, is that everyone disappears. At most, not including mods, only three of you actually try to interact. The others get bored and look to the mods, asking 'Okay, wtf is next?'
I may be an evil b*****d who loves doing evil things in RPs, but I can't stand having an RP just be one battle after another, and to see half of this storyline die off anytime they're not fighting frustrates me quite a bit. Yes, we do give you guys a lot of battles, but only because when we don't, a fraction of you post.
Insert more rambling here, et cetera.

ALSO: I would like to make my return soon, as my inspiration is starting to flow again. So yeah. If I can get some good character development in, that would be great, and a definite incentive to return.

I CONCUR!!!
I know I don't have a lot to say due to my recent hiatus and I haven't been posting as much as I want to, BUT that was something that did kind of frustrate me a little before I disappeared for forever and anon. I loved the scenes before the deletion like the bath in Agrabah, or the after-battle celebration attempt in Narnia. I also adored how when Joe and I (again before deletion) had gone off into the woods of Narnia and gotten attacked by the Geists. I had such a blast role playing that amnesia of the past (at the time) three days, because it really made me see how much my character had developed. And when Joe had Ursala practically BRAINWASH him after he got mind-wiped? EPIC~
I'd also like to see something that might seem more Zelda-esque than Kingdom Hearts-y, but I really, really, REALLY would love to see some kind of puzzle set up where we all have to work together to advance. Noelle's mirror maze and, well, EVERYTHING she did with Oogie Boogie in Halloween Town was so much fun, and I would love to see more of that!
I'm kind of lusting over more character development role playing, and the chance to get everyone to work together in order to advance the plot. We don't always have to beat the crap out of the baddies just to get further in our goals to Save the World.
If we have to drop something down a chasm and have the entire Queen's Quest make a Human Rope to get the something out of the chasm, I'll jump on it just because it's a chance to have our characters work together to get themselves out of a sticky situation without the need to beat things up. xd
I'm sorry if I'm missing a little bit of the point, but Kichi and Kyle pretty much covered everything else I wanted to say, and these are my 2 and a half cents. I am a huge fan of character development, seriously.

Kyle hit the nail on the head. You want less battles? Stop going inactive. That includes anyone in the Queen's Quest.

I realize Sou. You apparently either missed or ignored the entire 5th paragraph. the one below the bolded section? You know, the one where I explained that I know that, and how I'm hoping to fix that by making a group effort rather than a bunch of individual efforts.

It doesn't help your point when you make someone who is agreeing with you look like he's the guy no one wants to agree with.
Just a thought.

I do think there's a role the mods can play in making it less combat oriented, though - it isn't all about downtime. I agree that the lack of activity absent a clear goal is frustrating, but there's another part to this as well: every time there is a clear goal, it seems to boil down to defeating some enemy. Admittedly, I've only been here a short time, but I've never seen a non-combat challenge thrown our way. We're never confronted by a villain who just wants to talk, we never have to play detective and search for clues, we never have to infiltrate a villain's lair by pretending to be servants, et cetera, et cetera.
Oh and when I wanted to do a magickal investigation scene, the response apparently was 'no we aren't doing that'.
Honestly, from my perspective recently it feels like this: I try to do something non-combat related (play mindgames with Seymour . . . perform magicks), and either it's shot down or interrupted by a random fight scene.
Actually, the King's Quest side seems to end up being given its fair share of non-combat challenges. I mean, just look at what they've just been doing only recently. It probably doesn't hurt that they're more active overall than we are.
I agree that everyone needs to pull their weight, but the problem isn't just what we do when you give us 'free time between battles'. And, 'direction' doesn't necessarily equal 'a big fight'.
Sorry if that all sounded too hostile or defensive. I don't mean it to be an condemnation of either the mods or their modding style. Leading an RP this large and active (and yes, in the grand scheme of things, HA is very, very active) is bound to be a Sisyphean task. I have tremendous respect for all of you.
