Silver listened to them argue, closing her eyes. "Where..." she mumbled. She couldn't talk now. It hurt too much. Just let me die. Living hurts too much. she thought, her paws dragging in the dirt.

Kaya straightened her back. Silver was falling. Kaya shifted the husky carefully, she didn't want to hurt her further. "Kipcha, are you holding out okay? Do you want me to carry her?" Kaya asked sweetly. But her intentions were merely to take the husky back to her tunnel.

Kipcha had heard enough, and gently laid the injured dog on the ground, twitching her ears to hear over their bickering for any motorized vehicles, hearing there were none, she turned her attention back to the arguement. "Kaya, I understand what you are trying to do, as do I understand your trying situation, Kona. Because of my hasty rescue, I wasn't able to think this through, and I apologize, but debating over each other's ideas will only waste time. We will simply have to combine ideas and efforts, and outsmart the Dog-catchers. If we are not careful, the dog-catchers' search will not only find us, but possibly the other strays that live near-by. Now, I agree with Kona, the contruction cite is not the dog-catcher's 'territory', so they shouldn't search there, but their search may lead them to suspect there. So, while two escort the injured there, another will purposely leave a trail to throw off the catchers." She paused for a breath, and waited for their opinions.

(wow, that was a mouthfull)

Kaya pouted. "Fine. We'll do that. But I'm still going back to my tunnel." Kaya said. A breeze ruffled the thick, matted fur of her neck. She sniffed at Silver to make sure that she was okay. Then an idea crossed her mind. "Wait! They saw us run in only one direction, right? They'll think that's the way we came. We could double back, go around until we're somewhere they don't think we'd go!" Kaya exclaimed, proud to have come up with that.

"That is a good point, but we cannot afford to tote the injured one any longer, she's already in criticle condition. There is also the issue of time, of which we do not have. By point of the distraction dog was to lead the humans to believe that the dogs would have relocated elsewhere. I know you are trying, Kaya, but we can't afford it," Kipcha said sadly, not wanting to crush Kaya's ideas, but there was so little to choose from.

Of course. She was the youngest, so of course her ideas meant nothing to the older dogs. She whimpered and looked at her paws. Kaya had nothing to say. She laughed internally. That was a first.

Kipcha gazed at Kaya guility, making her ideals feel insignificant. Kipcha could only look to Kona for a little support, she didn't know what to do. After getting the others in this sort of trouble, Kipcha didn't know how to handle all of these chains of events.

Kona snorted. "If you can carry her, I'll double back, catch a few humans' attentions and get away" she said, speaking to Kaya. "And know that if you lead them to the tunnel, the chances of you ever being able to return are slim to none". Kona kept moving forward. "Kipcha look!" The collie could see the alley that connected to the alley Kipcha's den was in. That meant they were only two more blocks away. "We're almost there. You've gotta decide Kaya. Give up your tunnel or help carry this husky." she looked into Kaya's eyes with hers, her one yellow eye gleaming. "You have to choose."

Kaya sighed. "Fine, I'll carry her. But know that I don't like it." She said, glaring at Kona. She nudged Silver back onto her back, feeling the wieght of the husky. "Oh, my god, this is a heavy dog." Kaya groaned. But she readjusted her shoulders so Silver was easier to carry. Kaya began to walk forward.

Kona nodded. "Alright, I'm off. I'll be back once I've gotten them away from you". She took off, the muscles in her back legs bunching to give her more speed. She rounded the corner and splashed trough a puddle, wetting her spotted grey-blue coat. She reached the farmer's market in a few moments and slowed down. She looked around and saw a woman talking to an officer. s**t

She waited until the officer picked up his walkie and pounced. She landed on an old woman's bag, grabbing it between her teeth and snarling. "Hey-hey-hey!" the officer yelled, running toward her. She held on for a moment then released and ran back into the alley. She waited until she saw the white truck carrying the cages in the back pull up to the curb. She shuddered. She'd heard the worst stories about the Place. No one knew where it was, and only a few had come out alive.

She gritted her teeth, Here goes everything. The collie sprinted across the street, making sure the white truck revved its engine in pursuit. They better get that damn dog somewhere safe or so help me

Silver opened her eyes again. "...Where are we going...?" she rasped, finally able to form a coherent question. Her vision was still ebbed with red, but it didn't hurt so much to look now. She saw one of the dogs split off from the group and heard some commotion from the direction she had gone. She closed her eyes again and sighed. I hope she's okay.

Kaya watched admiringly as Kona ran back to the market. Soon, the sound of the screeching tires faintly reached them. "Come on, Kipcha. We have to get her somewhere safe." Kaya said, throwing her focus towards moving Silver to into hiding. She felt her breathing become difficult, but she kept going anyways.

[[Yay! biggrin One hundred posts!]]

Kona was panting as she rounded another corner, hearing the tires screech behind her. The rattling of the truck sent shivers down her spine as she ran. She looked around frantically after rounding another corner, she was starting to get into unfamiliar territory. And while that was the goal, she was scared she'd end up cornered.

As soon as the thought crossed her mind, her heart almost stopped. The alley in front of her ended in a chain-link fence. She whimpered as she stopped in front of it. What the hell am I going to do?!

((If I stop posting for a while, it's because I'm showering, or crying[touching song]))

Kaya carried Silver into the construction site. With a heave, Kaya layed her down in a concrete tube. "There. Now don't move. I'll be back." Kaya said. She was in a heroic mood, and felt like helping Kona. She bolted back to the market, and picked up Kona's scent. She followed it, and then she saw the dog catchers truck. Kona wasn't in it, but she hid behind a barrel as the catchers stepped out. Kaya darted over and bit down hard on a leg. She let a few growls build in her chest. Kaya saw out of the corner of her eye the other catcher rushing at her. Good, now run, Kona! She thought as they tossed her into one of the cages.

[[We are epic RPers! Hear us ROAR!]]

Kipcha watched as Kaya dashed away, she could only hope for the best. Turning her attention back to the injured dog, she talked quietly, "I need you to stay awake okay? If you sleep again, you might not wake up." Kipcha looked over the battered dog that laid before her, but she had no idea what all was broken. She would have to keep the dog awake somehow, so she decided to start a conversation, "My name's Kipcha, what about you?" Kipcha said, softly nudging different areas of the dog's body to identify where the broken bones where.
