Yeah the plot of avatar is technically "Dances with Wolves" or Pocahontas or something to that affect but... for some reason I was so immersed in the world and cared so much about the character, so what I like to say is that though Avatar does do themes that have been done many times before it does a variety of them VERY well =D I think that's fair.
But yeah I cannot F**KIN WAIT FOR THE OTHER TWO MOVIES AHHHHH!!!!

And also, on the subject of movies, I just saw [b]Sunshine Cleaning. It's an indie film, so if you don't like those then don't see it, but if you do like indie films then I recommend watching it. It's really sweet.

I thought Holmes was pretty good. It's probably the one and only time I'll say that I liked the movie better than the book (although I'm biased; I don't really enjoy mystery books. I've tried.) The only thing I didn't like about it was Rachel McAdams. I didn't think the pulled off the time period feel very well.

I liked that duo too! I liked how it portrayed the tension between Holmes and Watson when Watson was getting married. XD Poor Holmes... actually.... poor doggie D:
I liked Rachel MacAdams though ;-; haha, that's just me I guess though. XD

Don't get me wrong, I like her as an actor, but I just felt like she didn't really capture the essence of a woman from that time, independent spirit and all. Jude Law and Downey were great, to be sure. However, one of my favorite things from the movie was the soundtrack. The entire time I was thinking, "Wow, I love this music! I wonder who it's by?" And then I was surprised to find out it was Hans Zimmer. It didn't sound like him.
Pardon my nerd tangent.
Although it's really funny to think of Downey in Sherlock Holmes and then compare that to his performance in Tropic Thunder, which I just finished watching with my sister.
