Was it morning again all ready? Raiden shook his damp bangs from his face and blinked up at the sunlight that flickered in through the trees. He must have fallen asleep at some point after walking all evening and most of the night.
"Really." The teen sighed and ran a hand through his hair. What was he doing? There was no way that he could tell for certain which direction Khali had went with her new 'friends', all he was going on was the gut feeling in his stomach. South.
"Hey mista!"
Raiden jumped as the shrill voice of a small centaur child with huge eyes of violet pierced his thoughts. "Eh?" He blinked and gave a small start as he saw netting covering her body. Why would a child be in a trap like that?
"Well are ya gonna stare all day?" Pouted the child as she pulled at her dark raven hair which was tangled in one of the thin chains. "Help me?"
"Ye-yeah!" Raiden swore and went over to help the girl. After he managed to hack the net free from the tree and the girl tumbled safely out he asked, "How did you get trapped in that anyway? Shouldn't you be home with your parents or something kid?"
"I-I...have nothing." The girl started to bawl. "My family is gone and I was just hungry and walking and...and...whaa!" Tears started to pour down her face as Raiden fought to deal with the awkward situation. Children were never his thing after all.
"Umm...hungry?" He dug around in his bag and pulled out a piece of bread and some cheese. "Take this. Crying won't do you any good after all. We'll figure something out."
Still sniffling the girl grabbed at the food greedily and started to eat. In less than a couple of minutes it was gone and she tugged on his hand, "Can I come with ya, mista?"
"What? Me?" Raiden pulled back and shook his head, "You don't understand I have to catch up with my sis-" Oh boy. She was tearing up again. "Fine. But only until we find a village were we can find someone to take you in."
"Kay!" The girl grabbed onto his hand and hummed happily as they started walking back through the forest. Raiden stopped and looked at some broken twigs. Centaurs had been through here before. With hope, he started after his sister.

Khalidah washed up quickly in the stream. So cold! She missed her warm baths and cozy bedroom to dry off in. Grudgingly, she slipped her clean shirt over her head and tied back her hair.
The forest was alive, but quiet. It put her on edge. The teen kept looking over her shoulder, expecting a naga or a stalker to snatch her up. "Your out of your head, kid, "she murmured.
She didn't waste anytime hoofing it back. "Well, good morning sleeping beauties!" Hastily, she shooved all of her things back into her saddlebags and hitched them on. "Ready to go?"

Tzeitel had her bag on her back and a pear in her hand when Khali returned, smirking at the greeting. "Why Aaron, double the compliments for you today. Don't let it be going to your head. Would you like a bite of fruit first, Khali?"
Aaron refilled the fire pit and lugged his own bags to his back. He flicked his ears, casting a shining smile at the ladies. "And good morning glory to you as well. Ready when you are." He waved a hand at Tzeitel. "What gets in my head is none of your business. It'll inflate as much as it wants to."

Oh, this wasn't going to be fun. Raiden's head pounded as pain flooded his senses and the centaur groaned. "Damn it!" He moaned and placed his hands against both sides of his skull. His hair was sticky - and it wasn't just sweat that dripped into his eyes.What was going on again? The teen swayed and used a shaking hand to steady himself against a moist wall...wait moist? Peeking from an eye with excruciating pain, Raiden noticed the stalagmites and other odd formations. A cave. A cave in the bloody middle of bloody no where.
With a heavy sigh the centaur slipped against the wall and sat wearily. If only he could remember what had happened! Or what would happen...where was he after all? What about Khali? Hadn't he been looking for Khali in the forest? Raiden closed his eyes trying to concentrate before falling back unconscious.

Khalidah snatched an apple out of her bag, tossed it up into air and caught it with her mouth. She took a big bite, grinning proudly around it, before replying, "Thanks, but no thanks. I'm covered." Rolling her eyes, she knocked her rump into Aaron's playfully on her way past to the path. "Watch what you say. Some day it may be so big that you can't walk!"
The teen munched on her sweet breakfast while pondering her earlier feeling. She knew something was off, just knew it, but she couldn't put a finger on it.

Aaron smirked, flapping a hand lazily in the air. "Yeah, but if it inflates that much I'll be floating above everyone and be even more impressive! The only centaur to fly!"
Tzeitel nodded, throwing the spare apple to Aaron, who somehow reacted quick enough to catch it. "But then you'll float right off into the sky. It'll take forever before your head will deflate enough to come back down." She chuckled, bags harnessed and stepping off on the road south once again.

A small centaur child with violet eyes trotted through the forest while humming a soft tune. Her sensitive ears tuned in on some noise. It sounded like a group of taurs and she smiled. With a little whistle she headed towards the group of what turned out to be three centaurs.
Raiden groaned as he woke up again. Hands rubbing his forehead he leaned back with a curse. He remembered what had happened now. That girl.

"The only centaur to fly or the ugliest harpy." She giggled and finished off her apple, tossing the core into the brush. Khalidah wiped her hands clean of the sticky juices repetitively when she picked up on a whistle. "Do you hear that?" Her equine ears turned towards it and without thinking, she galloped after it.
It took her a minute or two, but in what felt like no time at all she saw the child. "Oh, it was you! Jeez, kid, don't whistle like that out here. Something might come out and get'cha."

Aaron laughed. "I have no intention of growing wings. Me, a harpy. Pft!" He shook his head, perking his ears when Khali called his attention. "What? Khali!" He hurried after the teen, stopping a few feet away from the teen when she finally stopped, eyes on the child, trying to stay back so he wouldn't startle her. What was she doing out here alone? They didn't need another kid around... It took his effort just to keep on Khali's level.
Tzeitel, lost in her own thoughts of freedom, took a moment to realize everyone was running off. "Hey!" She yelped, spinning in search of those who had been there only moments ago. She spotted a rustling bush and headed for it. Was that Aaron's hair she saw? "Aaron! Khali! Wait up!"

The centaur girl looked up at Khali and blinked, "Get me?" Her lip started to quiver as a warning before the tide came. "You mean...so-somethin' is out here?" With that came the waterworks.
"Waaah! I don't like this! I want my parents!" She grabbed onto Khali, "They out here to get me, I know it! Please, please help me!" She clutched tighter at the centaur before breaking out into fresh heaving sobs.

Khalidah turned back to look at Aaron, her eyes saying 'what-should-I-do?' before looking back at the child. The teenager went into full panic mode when the tears came. "Shh, shh! It's alright, don't worry. Nothings going to get you with us around, okay?" She knelt down to scoop the little girl to her slender chest, rubbing her back like her mother used to do for her.
Believe me, I don't like this either, she thought sarcastically. "Tzeitel! This way!" Khali called out, holding the girl out at a distance to look her over for any kind of injury. "Who are they? And where are your parents?"

Aaron meekly shrugged his shoulders at the teen. As though he knew what to do! He looked around awkwardly. Tzeitel would know what to do... Hopefully. She was the one with all the siblings, not him!
He turned to look the way they had come, searching for said female. "Oy! Tzeitel! Hurry up!"
Tzeitel perked her ears at Khali's call. That way! Was that a child crying? Big sister mode kicked in as she hurried through the trees, verified by Aaron's call. Finally! She broke through the tree line, hurrying to Aaron and giving him a questioning look, to which he again shrugged, before calmly walking up to Khali and the girl, giving her sweetest encouraging smile. "Now, now little one. You're safe with us." She touched the flustered Khali's shoulder soothingly. "Like she asked, where are your parents sweetie?"

The girl kept sniffling but slightly calmed at Khali picked her up, "Oh-okay." She mumbled and rubbed her eyes before looking back up. "They is the baddies! They steals stuff and then stole my parents." She wiggled free of Khalidah and pointed down the path, "They lives down there in a biiiig ole stone place!"
Her big violet eyes looked over the group pleadingly, "Can you help me? I needs my parents."

Khalidah felt calmer now that Tzeitel was here, but she was still agitated. She chewed on her bottom lip, head swiveling around as she surveyed their surroundings before going back to the child. "Baddies? Like bandits?"
As sick as it was, she couldn't hide the excitement in her voice. Her first big break! All she had to do was rescue the hapless parents, return their terrified daughter, and take all their gold! Haha, wonderful! "Of course we'll help you." The teenager stood up, an evil gleam in her eyes as she placed a hand on her sword hilt. "You needn't fear anymore, squirt! Let's go save your parents."

Aaron sighed, looking off to the side. The three of them against a group of bandits? He didn't even know if Tzeitel fought! So two against a group!
He saw Khali's excitement. She wasn't about to have her chance put off by his concerns. They needed a plan first. "Lets stake out their group first. Don't go charging in without knowing what's there first. Namely, how many of them there are." Hopefully she would listen. He wanted to help the kid, but he had two apparently impulsive women on his hands to take care of. Though, he also wasn't being hit full affect by the child's large eyes, and wasn't driven by the idea of glory or gold.
Tzeitel petted the little girl's hair soothingly. They had to help her! But... She looked back at Aaron, up at Khali, and to the child. She couldn't say no to those sweet eyes. "We'll get them for you darling. Can you lead us part of the way? Then you should hide in the bushes until we bring your parents back." She stood up, pushing her hair from her face and rummaging through one of the bags on her back, an after-thought of self-defense making her reach for her cooking knives.
