I don't know actually...Every time I ask her, she's just like "well, *changes the subject*". She either doesn't want me to get a pet because I'll be moving out in a few years and then probably won't be able to get an apartment that will let me keep it, so she doesn't want to get stuck with a pet; thinks I won't take good enough care of one (which she used as an argument when I was like seven because we used to have parakeets and she had to take them to the shelter because no one was taking care of them, which she really shouldn't blame ME for since I was SEVEN and the rest of my siblings didn't want to take care of them...); or just doesn't want pets in the house and since we live in northern Minnesota, we can't just leave it outside because it'll freeze to death or something....

Well I think they all sounds like pretty logical reasons as to why she wont let you get a pet, Set. *nod*
Sad, but true reasons. I mean the whole thing about not letting you have one because no one took care of them when you were 7 is kind of lame but the other reasons make a lot of sense. What if you get an apartment that wont allow for you to have any pets/kitties? Well most people don't want to have to take care of something that isn't theirs such as a kitty. So that makes sense. And also the thing about it being too cold in the Winter makes sense as well. XDDD;
Damn Minnesota weather. XD;

True...but still, she should just take her MN weather reason and shove it, cuz a) she could let us keep it inside, and b) SHE'S THE ONE WHO MOVED TO MINNESOTA! My dad was in the Air Force, they lived in JAPAN previous to here....YOU COULD HAVE LIVED SOMEWHERE ELSE, WOMAN, IT'S NOT MY FAULT! Dx crying

Mmmm, well was your mom born and raised in Minnesota...?
I've heard that people who live here have a really strong bond to come back here, whether they have family that still lives here or not.. I don't get it really. xD;

Oh, she hates it alright...She's always complaining about it, and the weather makes her edgy....but they moved out here because it was a stopping point? My dad was retiring or something, and they moved out here and were planning on moving to Idaho or something....*sigh* We went through the town where we were going to live on the way to Washington once....It was nice D:
xD I have hopes for Seattle, but apparently my brother's girlfriend is going to steal me and have me live in New York state with them...So I'll have to pencil that into my schedule too...

I've had the same thing happen to me before too. After high school like I previously said now.. My sister stole me from my step mother's clutches and yeah I live with her and her family for a while before I made my way out here. <<;

xD; It wouldn't be the first time she tried to 'steal' me...We visited them down in Wisconsin before they moved to New York, and she said that I should stow away with them...then she said that I should run away to spend Halloween with her this year, and I said I'd hitchhike out there.... xd We have this almost on-going gag about me 'escaping' from Minnesota and going to live with her, since it would 'save' me from the horrors of MN.... sweatdrop

It's not so much that I hate the weather -I was born and raised here, I'm used to it- but I hate the nothingness and the bleakness of it....There's nothing to DO here, and that frustrates me.
